15-year-old girl found shot at apartment complex after trying to rob food truck in SW Houston: HPD
Two boys are among the four in custody after a 15-year-old girl they appeared to be with was found shot at an apartment complex following an attempted robbery Tuesday night in southwest Houston, police said.
It happened just after 11 p.m. in the 6300 block of Windswept Lane near Unity Drive.
According to what witnesses told police, the 15-year-old, a second teen girl, and the two teen boys were armed with airsoft guns when they tried to rob a food truck vendor set up on Windswept.
During the incident, the vendor’s brother pulled up and blocked in the teens as they were trying to escape with the truck, police said.
The teens ran away into a nearby apartment complex. At some point while they were at the complex, the girl was shot, police said.
It wasn’t immediately known who shot her or why.
She flagged down officers at the scene and was taken to the hospital for wounds to her thigh and bicep. She’s expected to be OK.
Police said witnesses who remained told them that the teens were the same four people in the food truck attempted robbery.
The two boys, one of who police say was carrying a pistol, were taken into custody, along with the two girls.

Think I can come up with a plausible reason why she was shot.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at approximately 8:30 PM, Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives were dispatched to 25950 Northwest Freeway (Exxon Gas Station) in reference to a shooting scene with one man dead and the shooter still on scene.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Units and EMS were dispatched to the location after a man called 911 and stated he had shot a man who was trying to rob him. When deputies arrived on scene, the shooter was still present and cooperated. EMS attended to the wounded man, but he could not be saved and died on scene. Witnesses were also detained until Homicide Detectives arrived.
Once Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives and Crime Investigators arrived, the scene was processed, witnesses were interviewed, and the security camera recordings were observed that recorded the entire incident. After watching the video and interviewing the shooter, detectives determined the shooter had arrived in his vehicle and was immediately approached in an aggressive manner by the complainant once he had exited his vehicle. Video showed the shooter restrain himself and back away from the complainant all throughout the gas station parking lot. After getting his property taken from him, such as his wallet, he removed his handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the complainant. This did not deter the complainant, and when he approached the shooter again, he fired his weapon, striking the complainant. He immediately called 911 and put his weapon in his vehicle.
An autopsy will be performed in the next 24 hours to confirm the cause and manner of death, along with possibly confirming the decedent’s identity. This case will be referred to a grand jury when the investigation is complete.

Two from Texas and KHOU is nowhere to be found. Thanks, Gun Bunny.
I think the cost of energy will come down when we make this transition to renewable energy.

One to add to the 3″ three ring loose leaf binder of T2NB2AGF, airsoft to a gun fight.
And I hope that the citizen that shot the girl fades into the background and is never found.
When the story started out, “robbery of a food truck”, I thought the little bastards were trying to take things from the truck, not trying to take the whole damned truck. WTF did they think they were going to do with it, and not be found out?
I knew you’d like that addition to the Binder of T2NB2AGF, Tox. Always good to have something new. The yoots were in charge of bringing the fixin’ for the Church Choir Picnic and they needed the truck to transport (and supply) said fixin’.
The “complainant” was complaining that his poor victim selection skilz caused him to become DRT. Welp…he ain’t complaining anymore.
Still waiting for my utility bills to go down, Al. At least your invention of the amazing inherwebz has worked out quite well for us so there is that.
Nothing like a nice double barrel shottie to “Coach” a bad guy on the error of his ways.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all of the Adorable Deplorables of TAH. I was opening my gift this morning and was overjoyed on y’all’s selection for me. Nothing says you love The Gun Bunny like some examples of the greatest Valentine’s Day gift EVAH. Alas, just as I was admiring said gift…I woke up.
All Hail HMS, JMB (HBHN) ALL HAIL!
GASP!! What IS that barrel of 1911s, and where can I find one?!
There is also canned M-1 Carbine. 10 per, I believe.
Springfield canned a bunch of goodies after WWII. Nice article here…

DAMN…
Years late and definitely TOO LATE to get some…
Happy V day.
Also,
The Harris County story is a bit confusing. The reporter keeps calling the dead robber the “Complainant”. The definition of this word is the person who makes the complaint (i.e. calls 911), which would be the shooter who was being robbed. The Aggressor would be the much better description of the robber!
Ah now, that’s just a racist, hateful, white-supremacist colonial word construct!
Going out on a limb here, I’m going to suspect there is a very high possibility that the ‘reporter’ attended the “Dan Rather School of Journalism” at Sam Houston State University.
(Yes, they really did that.)
Some years ago I was tutoring a journalism professors’ daughter at in the offices there, and noted the students and their conversations.
Let’s just say I was underwhelmed by their mental acuity, their command (or lack thereof) of English vocabulary and structure, and world outlook.
The dead robber may be complaining about his current (and eternal) dwelling place, but that is not relevant to the news story.
“This case will be referred to a grand jury when the investigation is complete.”
So I’m guessing that the decedent might not be Caucasian.
Harris County has some Sores-sponsored (bought out) DAs.
I know that area of town.
I’d not be surprised to learn that the teen’s parents are in TDCJ-ID, that the “girl” lost her virginity 5+ years ago, that the “boys” never intend to marry them and possibly have a child by another “baby-mother”.
Yeah, but “they be stroking”

I can save them some money…they want to determine the cause of death? I am guessing that bullet in the dead perp’s chest has a LOT to do with it.
Had a Baikal side by side once…hammerless but still imposing, and oddly enough, I shot it better than I did my 870. Called it the “boyfriend” gun, as it prevented them from going crosseyed looking at it. One barrel for each eye to stare down.
Modern day teens think that
A) Nobody can shoot us because we be under age.
2) Nobody can shoot us because we ain’t be packin’ real guns.
Imagine their surprise when an armed citizen with a real gun doesn’t give a shit how old they are.
