Suspect shot dead during attempted robbery at barber shop
SAN ANTONIO – A suspect is dead after being shot multiple times during an attempted robbery at a Northwest Side barber shop.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday Marissa’s Beauty Salon off Basse Road near Neer Avenue.

Police say the suspect entered the shop, pulled out a gun and demanded wallets and purses from the male and female owners. When they didn’t act fast enough, the suspect pistol whipped the man and started pulling out zip ties. When he turned his attention to the woman, the man, who was on the floor, pulled out his gun and shot the suspect multiple times.

The suspect was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Good guy with a gun, again.

DoorDash driver shot, killed Charlotte teen he said tried to steal his car during delivery By Jeff A. Chamer

A DoorDash driver is facing a first-degree murder charge for shooting a 15-year-old boy he said was trying to steal his car during a delivery Wednesday night, according to court records.

Keshawn Tyree Boyd, 27, allegedly shot Matthias Crockett, 15, near the 400 block of West 8th Street in the uptown area at 6:46 p.m., documents said.

Crockett was one of three people killed in homicides this week in Charlotte.

Boyd, who is from Charlotte, appeared in court with his public defender on Thursday, where details of the previous night’s events were shared.

Crockett and another man allegedly got in Boyd’s car while he was leaving a DoorDash delivery outside of someone’s door, Charlotte Observer news partner WSOC reported. Boyd told police he saw Crockett attempting to shift the car’s gears and that he suspected the duo were armed.

A police affidavit said Boyd admitted to shooting Crockett with a 9mm pistol and that the teen was unarmed. But the District Attorney’s office said a gun was found near Crockett, who was fatally shot while inside Boyd’s car, WSOC reported. A prosecutor said the person who placed the DoorDash order called 911 after seeing the shooting.

Boyd’s public defender argued he was under duress from his car almost being stolen, WSOC reported, and that DoorDash was one of his four current jobs. Boyd was acting in self-defense, the public defender said, and is not a risk to the public as he has no prior convictions.

Court records show Judge Matthew Newton ordered Boyd be held without bond.

Thanks, Gun Bunny.

As I have stood in the crosshairs of those who target Second Amendment freedoms, I’ve realized that firearms are not the only issue. No, it’s much, much bigger than that. I’ve come to understand that a cultural war is raging across our land, in which, with Orwellian fervor, certain acceptable thoughts and speech are mandated.

This is a huge fell good.story that the far left media won’t report on. ABC, is more of a moderate left leaning media. The rest won’t give him any wins, even when he wins.

Old tanker

RE the Barber shop story. The local (SA) cbs station reported it but the manner in which they told the story was a bit slanted. They tried to give the impression that the shooter was facing a criminal investigation instead of being feted for doing the right thing under very bad circumstances. All to often cooperating robbery victims become murder victims when restrained and taken into the back of the establishment. That Barber needs an award, not innuendo for his actions.

KoB

Indeed we do see a lot of that, Old tanker. “Victim” and “subject”. Just like in today’s Charlotte story when the driver defended himself against an armed carjacker. Better to be judged by 12 than toted by 6.

A close shave for the barber but he did manage to shoot the perp “multiple times”.

“…domestic dispute…” Every LEOs worst nightmare from what I’ve heard.

Get you a real good lawer, Mr. Boyd.

The despots are trying to take the Citizen’s weapons because they despots are planning to do things that would make the Citizens want to shoot despots.

That there Bull Pup seems to be a real Turkey.
