Winchester Model 1885

1 dead after road rage shooting on the northwest side, SAPD says
Authorities believe the man who died was the aggressor in the situation and the man who shot him acted in self-defense.

Author: Luke Whitney, Alyssa Muñoz, Marcus Risen
SAN ANTONIO — One man is now dead after being shot in a road rage incident on the northwest side, according to SAPD.

Around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, SAPD responded to the 6700 block of Spring Hurst Drive after receiving reports of a shooting at a nearby bus stop.

A 41-year-old man was found lying on the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Another man, 46, was also at the location and was detained with no injuries.

The injured man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police say he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The man who ended up dying has been identified as the suspect.

Police say that both men were having a verbal altercation on the road while driving, then followed each other to the intersection of Springtime and Spring Hurst.

The suspect stopped his vehicle and opened his trunk. Police say the victim saw the firearm the suspect was holding and reportedly shot the suspect with his own weapon. The suspect was hit multiple times.

A firearm was located on the suspect and was recovered. The victim’s weapon was also recovered.

The victim is cooperating with the investigation, and it is unclear what charges, if any, he faces.

Swift recovery for the not-so-lucky store clerk. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Reporters today are far removed from America’s founding values and are alarmed and contemptuous of gun owners as dangerous lower classes.

Stolen Valor inquiry..

Anyone here ever hear of this guy?
He is a Canadian actor,
who played a bit part “tough” in Police Academy.
Where were “toughs”, other than the Blue Oyster?

F. Braun McAsh (born Sept 1953)
has been telling (other actors) Vietnam War stories,
including a tale of “only survivor of my squad”
(always a red flag)
complete with helicopter crash, VC ambush, injuries,
and a 10 mile crawl back to his lines.

A quick deployment of the Fu of Google found this wordpress bio.

“I have had a reasonably extensive military background,
having been an NCO in combat infantry,
the airborne and Long Range Patrols
and an Officer in armoured recon and military intelligence.”

Enjoy the hunt. For the truth.

AW1Ed,
IF anyone here
(at this military phony / Stolen Valor website)
has interest in pinning down a Hollywood type
for evidence of Stolen Valor, then yes.

If you don’t want this here, feel free to delete.

Sounds like another preemptive self defense shooting. “I’ll shoot him back first before he can shoot me.”
If you MUST talk to the po-po, make sure yours is the only tale told.

Weird. About a month ago I found an 1885 Winchester in a gun shop. t was part of an estate sale where the store bought the whole lot. It’s a high wall chambered in 32-40. It has set triggers and a massive brass butt-stock. I’ve seen many pictures of 1885s and I’ve never seen one like this.

And then you guys have an article on something similar.

The end quote makes me fervently hope that many reporters get caught in an inner city gun battle. Way past time to cull the herd, clean the gene pool, increase the average IQ.

Don’t threaten me with a good time, Tox. They are also far removed from the value of honest reporting of the facts. Henry Grady weeps…as Randolph Hearst…grins.

“The suspect was hit multiple times.” And that’s the way you do it, Girls and Boys.

The perp wasn’t so lucky when the clerk shot back.

Others—often old fogeys like me—continue to hold John Moses in awe.” Guilty as charged.

Late Weds night and into Thursday morning 7 San Antonio Officers were shot on a call. It started out as a domestic abuse call and the female advised that the suspect was armed and firing rounds inside the apartment. As Officers arrived they were taken under fire from an unknown location. All officers were recovered from the scene. Six were released from the hospital late Thursday and the 7th is expected to make a full recovery.

Swat responded and started to deal with the shooter. After several hours multiple gas applications the place was breached and the shooter was found dead. It’s unknown if he was killed by swat or capped himself. The dirt bag had been given bail for felony assault and domestic abuse a day or so before.
