Freemane Brown; phony SEAL with a tin cup
Chip sends us a link from WFLA in regards to this Freemane Brown fellow. He’s a 54-year-old who stood guard outside a grocery store and “aggressively” solicited donations from customers for veterans. He pretended to be Navy SEAL (with SEAL Team 6, of course) and that he had earned the rank of Commander, along with a Navy Cross, a Silver Star, a Purple Heart;
During questioning…Brown admitted he was never a Navy Officer nor a Navy Seal.
Deputies say he allegedly purchased all of his military insignias including the Navy uniform at a local Army/Navy surplus store.
The article continues that Browne wisely gave his phony finery to the officers at the scene of his crime, and then later he was arrested at his home for “a felony charge of unlawful use of uniforms, medals, or insignia”. He is currently residing at the local hoosegow.

I also noticed how impressively accurate that rack is. The Kosovo Campaign Medal is out of place, but other than that everything is in order as far as I can tell. He even spaced the SEAL badge and wings properly. I’m pretty good at spotting fakes, but that uniform is one of the better ones we’ve seen here by far.
