Robert Korzick; Stolen Gold Star Valor father
Last month, we talked about Robert Korzick who called in to a local radio program crying about how he’d lost his Marine Corps son days before Christmas sparking an outpouring of sympathy from the Connecticut community. He told, through crocodile tears, of his own wounds in Vietnam as a Marine. The local journalist did some checking and discovered that the Marine Corps had never heard of him or his son.
Well, Hondo went and asked for his FOIA from the National Personnel Records Center and it seems that Mister Korzick did have some service, but not in the Marines and not during the Vietnam War;
He lasted 15 months as an Air Force Security Policeman and the closest he got to Vietnam was Guam. And he didn’t get wounded – there’s no Purple Heart. He’s just another shitbag trying to get sympathy for things that never happened.
He’s been playing that wounded Vietnam veteran shit for a while, too. This is from an article 15 years ago when his wife accidentally shot his monkey-ass;
Korzick said he is a disabled Vietnam veteran who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and has handled dozens of different guns in his life. Despite his knowledge of firearms, he says he was to blame in the shooting that nearly killed him.
He must have PTSD from those brown tree snakes on Guam. Shitbag.

In May 1975, tens of thousands of South Vietnamese refugees were evacuated from SVN to temporary camps on Guam for processing, so Guam is JUST LIKE South Vietnam, right? right?

It looks like he completed both basic and tech school. And he may have advanced to 5-level. If so, he did at least do some continuing study.
He trained at a time when the USAF security career field had just been split into two career fields. Schools and training schedules were in transition, so any delays in training could well not be his fault. If memory serves, the roll out was fairly unencumbered, but there are always glitches.
None of which justifies his lies about his own service or that of a mythical son. He’s not worthy of any consideration at all.

Another glittering unicorn nad-sniffing snotnosed Smurf-lusting creampuff that likely got himself kicked out of the AF, and if my memory serves me right, that wasn’t easy to do in the early 70’s or was it during the post-Nam draw-down? Either way, getting out as an E3 after only 15 months has QUITTER written all over it in my book! Yeah, I’m on a rant, just got home and out of my ASU’s after attending our Neighbor’s funeral, he was a 20+ year Navy Diver and a Korean War Vet, he was one horsehide-tough Old Warrior and the real thing, thus booger-eating bedwetting peckerwoods like this double valor-stealing dingleberry mentioned above grate me worse than usual today. On the other side, the beloved Mrs. Infidel®™ wanted to stop off someplace for a bite to eat after the funeral so we did. I was still in uniform (got it to-go, didn’t want to drop food on my dress blues) and the Waitress told us our bill was paid as soon as she brought us our meal, I haven’t had that happen since I was on mid-tour leave from A-stan, a reminder that there are still plenty of real people in this world, so whoever did that, THANKS!!

If my memory serves me right, Jimmeh Kahtuh (Now merely the SECOND-WORST POTUS in our lifetimes)got elected in 1976, I grew up next to an Army post and still remember AWOL Recovery Teams as well as Army liaisons that worked with local authorities in trying to rehabilitate those who screwed up off-post (My Dad’s a retired Judge, he first sat on the bench in 1977), and that went away during the Reagan years, the attitude of “How can we help save his career?” changed to “Was he/she convicted? Well then, they’re out!”.
Um, Joe . . . Carter didn’t take office until Jan 1977. Post-Vietnam RIFs prior to 1977 were under either Nixon or Ford.
