Reverend Doctor Aaron Colyer; the rest of the story
You probably remember the potty-mouth Reverend Doctor Aaron Colyer from a few days ago. He’s been trying to discredit us with our Twitter followers by sending them the links to Danny Bernath’s “satire” website. You know because, everything you read on the internet is true. Colyer probably has a French model boyfriend, too. But, anyway, he sent us this NGB-22 that he got which says that he has an honorable discharge from the Tennessee National Guard;
Yeah, I know it’s pretty much useless because he covered up the dates and anything else that would make it useful.
Someone else sent us this conversation that they had with him about his discharges – apparently there have been three.
The first, Under Other Than Honorable Conditions from the Marine Corps, the second and Honorable discharge from the TNNG, which was probably a no-fault discharge that they handed him because they had enlisted him even though he had the bar to reenlistment on his first, and then he got another OTH discharge because he tried to get in the Guard again. And, of course, he blames the recruiter, like he was just hanging out on a park bench one day and the recruiter signed him up.
He’s left a couple of threatening messages on my voice mail (I turn my phone off at 8 PM so I can watch my novelas every night) but I won’t post them, because the messages are bunch of yelling and filthy words – not what you’d expect from someone who calls himself a Reverend Doctor.
I apologize to our Twitter followers for the filth that they’ve been subject to by this fellow, but, I’m heartened by many of your responses to him. Now, if Twitter would come up with a way to hide our followers like we can with Facebook friends, that would help.

Based on that NGB 22, his MSO ended on July 5, 2007. This means that he came in back in July of 1999. His date of rank was April 1, 2002. He got promoted to PV2… nope, this wasn’t an April Fool’s prank either. 😯
He has no period of active federal service listed. He covered the other important dates, as those dates make him out to be a liar… as if people here didn’t already know that. :rolL:
Just saw the other post, his USMC DD 214, came in back in ’96, discharged as an E-1, pattern of misconduct, which continues through today. Has sea service deployment ribbon. He stepped on his dick so bad that he fucked himself out of the good conduct medal.
Fits the pattern that he lied to get into the guard, then got discharged for fraudulent enlistment and possibly patterns of misconduct.
I was thinking the same thing, but his Military Education is from 1997 and 1998 (unless those are the MOS names). Does not make sense to me.
He entered active duty December 30, 1996, so his education would have to start in 1997.
He also has a letter, in an earlier post about him, showing that he got discharged before the Iraq War started in 2003. There goes his story about “trying to go to Iraq in 2004 to get out of trouble, but got discharged instead.

My knowledge on NGB-22′s in minimal, but as a former Recruiter it raised some red flags, maybe someone can help me out on some of the confusions I have with it. The Military Education lists a 5 week Aviation Electrician Course in 1997 and an F/A-18 Elect Sys Course in 1998. Since these are USMC specific jobs wouldn’t be have to go back to AIT for an Army MOS? Also, he went to his initial AIT in 1997 but his Block 11, Terminal Date of Military Obligation is 10 years later. Am I wrong, or is that off by a couple of years?

Somethings do not add up here:
1. RE-4 on his Marine DD-214: RE-4 – Individuals separated from last period of service with a nonwaiverable disqualification (refer to AR 601-280). Ineligible for enlistment except as provided for in paragraphs 2-7c and 2-7d. (See waiverable moral and administrative disqualifications.) Disqualilication is nonwaivable.
I looked at the moral and administrative dq list, and none of them would fit his sep code, so a waiver is not possible.
2. Entered the Marines on Dec. 30 , 1996
3. Left the Marines on Apr. 28, 1999
4. Can’t see the date he entered the NG
5. Left the NG on Jan. 8, 2003
His 8 year MSO expires on July 5, 2007, which means it didn’t start until July 1999. AFAIK, there is no other way to calculate MSO, other than 8 years from the date of first active federal service.
Now claims of another NG enlistment?
Things are not adding up at all.
Additionally, how did he get his Marine schools onto his NG22, yet no Army schools? Did he not make it to AIT during his time in the NG?
I thought the same thing until I saw his DD 214. With him entering in December 30, 1996, his MSO would’ve ended in December 2004. Me probably got removed from that MSO requirement with his discharge from the USMC.
No record of being a combat veteran, but he did do a sea service deployment.

An alternative explanation that also works is that the TN ARNG (1) didn’t know about his prior USMC service, (2) assumed he had none, and (3) assigned the normal 8-yr MSO expiration date based on that assumption.
I’ll not speculate on why/how the TN ARNG might not have known about the previous USMC service.
I was thinking that too, he probably lied to get into the guard. This’d fit with his “pattern of misconduct,” and with his lying about his background today.
That is one possibility, thebesig. I’m sure there are some other possibilities, too.
But it does seem to me to be the simplest plausible explanation.
The RE1 code clearly demonstrates that the TN ARNG had no knowledge of his prior shenanigans, or there was incompetence at his discharge location.
I thought about that, but the NG22 shows his Marine schooling, so there must have been something.
How do they see that and not the DD214? No idea.
Perhaps an official website with only schools completed? I know the Navy has a couple of websites with CAC access that list only education and courses completed, with no reference to the entirety of my service record.
FYI: I was in the Active USMC(1984-1997) and an 0331 and then the Washington NG (2006-2010) as an 11B. When we de-mobed after OIF 2008-2009, I had to break out my USMC DD-214 because the clerk writing up my Army DD-214 had none of my Marine Corps info. This oversight was corrected after proper verification. So it does happen that prior service data isn’t always included on a final DD-214.

Every one of us who ever REUP’d got an Honorable Disharge cert for the term of service we just finished. I personally have a few. But it only takes ONE OTH to flush the honorables down the toilet.

Social Security Bennies?,, Well in order to qualify for Social Security DISABILITY Benefits you basicially need to have worked pretty much full time for 10 years at a minumum.
Every year those that pay in get a letter from SSA stating the estimated ammount of retirement they will get if they work to a specific age, It will also not If you have accrued enough “points” ( work history) to qualify for SSDI payments, and what the estimated ammount will be.

The other option would be if he is drawing Supplementary Security Income. That is a payment for people who have never worked but are disabled. It is less than SSDI or SS retirement and carries the stpuation that you cannot have any income or assets coming in.
Chances are he is lying about any income he gets. He either panhandles, steas from his fake charities or sells weed,

One must receive an honorable or general under honorable conditions discharge to be legally considered a veteran. And since his NG enlistments were fraudulent, he legally isn’t a veteran of the NG either.
So it looks like all we have is a loudmouth punk with self diagnosed Permanent Turd – Stupid Disease, not even close to being a veteran as far as the law is considerrd.

Well, 2/17 Air Cav – he might want to look and see what 5 USC 2108(2) has to say. That part of Federal law appears to define the term “disabled veteran” fairly unambiguously.

It’s just that when one uses the terms “combat veteran” or “disabled veteran” it’s not necessarily as a term is defined by law or is, as in the case of both those terms, understood in general parlance. You, I, and 99.99% of the world understand that a “disabled veteran” is one who incurred the disability in military service and that a “combat veteran” is one who engaged in combat while in military service.
Still not eligible for VA care. The only way is if he served boots on ground and enrolled in the OEF/OIF within 5 years after boots on ground.
He has no awards for OEF/OIF nor any dates in the remarks section.
I even got my VA guide lines book out here at the VA to double check..

I have a feeling that a cold day in hell would happen before he receives any type of discharge upgrade with his sh!t bag type of military record with an RE-4 code. Specially with his fraudulent enlistment in the National Guard.
But knowing how some people work, he will run to his congressman or senator wailing on how he is being “treated” by the VA..and it can be changed to honor for VA purpose. Depends on what kind of Guard unit he joined/attempted to join. If he went to a Grunt unit, he’d go to a two – three week Gentleman’s Course for some OJT and be awarded the MOS because he attended the Corps Infantry school or whatever it’s called. Technical MOS you’re probably going to an AIT if they can get you a slot.
Bottom line – His claims and documentation do not pass the smell test. End.
Maybe he was waiting for a school slot to open when the NG discovered his fraudulent enlistment.
Ok, I have went through the exact same thing that ARRON claims with his NG enlistment. I was prior service, 1984-1988. The MOS I served in now longer existed when I reenlisted in the NG in 2005. I my self was give a ONE YEAR “Try ONE” contract to reclass in a new MOS. This actually took the state 9 months to accomplish. I reenlisted in September of 2005, but I did not receive any orders for reclassification in till May 20, 2006.
So what it looks like what happened is that Sh!t bird ARRON was found out about his OTH from the USMC and just sent him home packing with a never to look back set of orders before he received his reclassification orders.
The cunt giblet blocked us on facebook and twitter, cowards always cut and run.
