Update on squatters in New Port Richey
It looks like the Ortiz criminals have “moved along” in the story we talked about last night in regards to Michael Sharkey and the story of the squatters that we discussed last night. According to WFLA a minivan packed with the Ortiz’ belongings pulled out last night;
Lauren Price, of Veterans Warriors, says Ortiz picked the wrong house to squat at. Price has heard from veterans around the world who want to help.
“I don’t think he’s a squatter. I think he’s a criminal and what he did is breaking and entering,” Price said.
Price and another veterans group found an attorney to handle the eviction process for free. They plan on keeping a close watch on the property to make sure the home is not vandalized.
I hope this is over for the Sharkey family, but let it be an example of giving your power of attorney to people who won’t really work in your interests, for you youngsters out there. The person with the power of attorney should have called the police as soon as she noticed that the Ortiz family had taken over the house. the police claim that the first time they were notified that there was a problem, ten months had passed and somehow the Ortiz crowd had a right to live there. The only thing that got them out of the house was the media attention. Criminals, for some reason, don’t like being famous for bad stuff.

Glad to hear that, but how badly did the lowlives trash the place while they were squatting? Any missing wiring or plumbing? Any meth lab contamination left behind? I hope those squatters get run over by a train doing at least 50 MPH!!
now now, imagine the disruption to the commuters on the train, these low lives have disrupted enough lives as it is
Forget commuter train, I was thinking more like a mile-long 100 car coal or double stack container train, those typically have a gross weight around 10-15,000 TONS. thus the train will likely have nearly passed the scene by the time the Engineer can bring it to a stop.
as long as the only thing left is a greasy smear with no delays or mess to clean up ^_^
Of course, and a wrecker to take what’s left of their filthy minivan to the scrapyard!
GOOD! I figured with all their arrests and drug use, they did not want media and more importantly, police attention. TURDS! I hope they get busted again and do big time inside this time.
I wonder if they stole either of the vehicles they used to flee with? I laughed good & hard when I read the comments on the yahoo thread about some of the Vets talking about getting their MCs together to ride to and around the house to teach those slimeballs a lesson!
While I’m glad SGT Sharkey got his house back, it shouldn’t have taken media exposure to make it happen.
I am concerned with how they left the house and if they were making drugs in it. He may need a hazardous material cleaning… that can be expensive and it might be deemed unlivable even after…
Good Stuff! Yea, shouldn’t come to this at all. One of our own helped him out. Good deal. I echo the others tho, he’s probably got a mess on his hands. There should be a local veteran’s club that can help him out with paint and clean up, hopefully. I’m too far North, but I’ve painted a few walls…
If I ever come home to find someone in my house they might accidentally get shot. And then accidentally get lost in a deep hole. And yes, that includes the children and the grand parents!
It can be dangerous up here in the woods, what with every other guy owning a backhoe or a tractor, or both.
A backhoe and an acre or three of land sure covers a lot of sins Roger….
Around here, we have a BAD feral pig infestation. Pigs are omnivores. They eat EVERYTHING – meat, fat, bone. Just pull the victims teeth, they’re hard on the pig’s digestive tract.
In one of the other threads on this, someone talked about a nearby swampy area with gators where some drop off dead livestock and it’s gone by the next morning…
Turning these folks into alligator turds seems like some very poetic justice…
Of course I am in no way advocating any form of vigilantism nor would I ever advocate any such thing….
Just do the math…
Meth heads don’t have teeth.
Now why would you want to give our gators indigestion?
If their bodies poisoned a few feral pigs, that would probably be the one good thing that they would have accomplished during their putrid existence.
This squatter situation happens more than one might think. In my building business, condos seemed to attract this type of person, and in a Hi-Rise, most of the other owners are unaware of these squatters.
When the absentee owners contract with me to do some work, it is often no surprise to my crew to go into a unit and find a family living there. Phone calls, threats, costs, usually take care of the situation, but not always.

The alleged squatters moved out last week and Sheriff Chris Nocco says one has been charged with theft of electrical services. The people allegedly had illegally diverted power for their use while living in the home.
