Mogul “Sir” Ivan Wilzig, in “dress” whites, poses with celebrity mother Dina Lohan during Sir Ivan’s “Sailors and Sinners Soiree” on Sunday in Walter Mill, N.Y. (Photo by Paul Zimmerman/Getty Images for Sir Ivan)
I’ll bet he supports the troops, too. A couple of you sent the photo, but I’m speechless. Do your worst.
Category: "Teh Stoopid", Dumbass Bullshit
wow…I think I just took a major timing hit. Hack Stone, do you copy?
You just can’t fix stupid.
@47–Maybe a little jealousy that we aren’t invited to his parties.
Meh. A bunch of rich assholes trying to one-up each other? Thanks, but no.
As I stated before (albeit a bit differently) there’s legal, and then there’s right. While TECHNICALLY what he did might be legal, it sure as fuck ain’t right.
He is a rotten cocksucker that couldn’t carry a real Purple Heart recipients jock strap.
@47. Yeah, I’m sure he would understand, as the child of a Holocaust survivor if someone dressed up in an SS uniform or as a concentration camp guard. My point is that uniforms MEAN something and HE ought to know that.
Someone on his Facebook asked him about his purple heart and where he was wounded. Mr. Wilzig was quick to point out to them that he never earned a purple heart and that is was a costume.
Now tactless he may be, but I don’t see this as a stolen valor issue.
For the record, I never said anything about Stolen Valor in regards to this fuckstick. I was just pretty pissed that he pinned on a Purple Heart like it is a stick pin decoration when the families of some of my friends have only a Purple Heart to remember their father/husband/son.
Jonn: same here. And he also seems to be sporting a POW Medal as well, which pisses me off almost as much.
A fair number of the recipients of both of those medals never saw them, as they were presented to their NOK.
I wonder how he and/or his family would feel if someone falsely implied they were a Holocaust survivor or relative of same?
@56 I understand Jonn, I am not suggesting he doesn’t deserve a beating, I just don’t see him in the same way as so many other of the “f#cksticks” we see on this blog.
I meant to imply he is being disrespectful due to ignorance as opposed to committing a purposeful act of disrespect. If he truly does give to veteran charities he should know that, but he might just be writing checks and not actually interacting. I realize I am coming across as defending, I would prefer to state I am classifying by degree. His degree of sh1tbaggery is substantially less than so many others.
I myself could care less about the uniform, it is the medals that piss me off.
I am not into hollywierd, but is this Dina Lohan any relation to that other weird actress named Lindsay?
I’ll buy into douchebag and idiot, with low taste in women – but someone might oughta counsel him on what is and isn’t respectful (and or prudent) dress.
What a complete asstard. Someone should shove that megaphone up his ass.
@59–it’s her mother, and she’s almost as fucked up as her daughter. Nut, tree, shit like that.
Look right at where the girl’s hair touches his salad bar, and you can see part of a SEAL trident and a salad bar that would make a Soviet General green with envy. And what US Navy Captain would be caught dead without his totally non-regulation peace sign exposed for all to see, or would ever wear his cap correctly? Posers are disgusting…
I stumbled upon here by coincidence – I must say I’m flabbergasted such widespread negativity is present here…many of you seem incredibly miserable.
Sure, the guy has a multi-million bankroll and parties – but all with good intentions. How many other multi-millionaires wine/dine/party in St. Tropez without one care for donating to any charitable cause?
How many business owners who profit off war / death, of ALL former vets through whether it be medicine, ammo, etc., have not one care for the world – yet you don’t even hear about it because they’re rolling in ridiculous bankroll and spending lavishly?
This guy is giving back to charity for a themed party – if anything he condones the awareness of patriotism by making others go through the effort of wearing “military-themed” dress.
You guys are beyond ignorant. I pity your attitudes.
@64 Would you mind translating your third paragraph (“How many business owners…”) into English? Sorry, I don’t read gibberish.
And there isn’t any such thing as “military-themed” dress. You’re either wearing a uniform or you’re not, and you either earned the right to wear it, or you didn’t. Uniforms are NOT costumes.
@64.
Hippie Clown.
Were you at the party?
@64–What fucking drugs are you on to wake and bake then create that word salad, ya assclown?
I don’t give a shit if he has “good intentions” or not. He didn’t earn it, he should take that shit off and apologize profusely to those who have.
EOFM.
@64
You’re calling us ignorant? You can’t seem to fathom why veterans would feel disrespected because someone is using a medal reserved for veterans injured or killed in battle as a cheap prop? Please, look in the mirror before you call someone ignorant as you are apparently ignorant of all things military, but hey, if you can write a check big enough it should be okay….right?
@64, you said you stumbled in by coincidence? Well how’s about you stumble out on purpose! If we seem incredibly miserable, it is because of jerk offs like you who come on a milblog and don’t know jack shit about the military or what motivates us but are quick to criticize those of us here.
So in the words of the immortal MGySgtRet., go fuck yourself.
@ 64 ThisWebsite … I pity you because of your ignorance and elitist attitude. The same people you condemn here are the people who would lay down their lives to protect your right to do so.
KISS MY ROYAL IRISH ASS!
Oh, oh, oh!
How’s about we all go somewhere and y’all can be the sycophants while I claim to be a professor of literature at UC Berkley with multiple PhD’s from here and there? If I drive a Volvo and wear Birkenstock’s we should be able to get by with the claim, and it wouldn’t offend anyone, would it?
Claiming unearned degrees and tenure has to be OK. Could make a bunch of $$ doing speeches, too. If it all goes to charity, it would be GREAT! No one would care that it was based on lies, right?
There you go again, OWB – trying to use sarcasm and logic on a libidiot.
Haven’t you figured out by now that it just ain’t gonna work? (smile)
The only thing that you all are correct on, is that Sir Ivan had NO CLUE what he was wearing and meant no harm by playing the part of a Admiral Superhero ( yes , he is wearing a shirt with a peace cape sewn into the shoulders ). The cape is the costume he wears when he performs his music on stage or attends high profile media events. I WAS AT THE PARTY, so I’m not guessing, I KNOW his intent. He gave his secretary instructions to order him an Admiral’s uniform with a ridiculous amount of toy ribbons and toy medals, just to exaggerate the character he was playing to entertain his guests and to go along with the theme. There are few people I’ve met in my life , who have more respect for ALL branches of the military, than him. He is eternally thankful that the American army liberated his father from the Nazi Extermination Camp Mauthausen , in Austria after he had already spent nearly 2 years in the Nazi Extermination Camp Auschwitz , in Poland. Altogether , Sir Ivan lost 59 relatives in The Holocaust. His father , Siggi B. Wilzig was the first concentration camp survivor in history to lecture on his experiences in the camps at West Point Military Academy, as reported by The New York Times. When I pointed out to him at the party, that he might be ridiculed and attacked by real members of the armed services. He said : ” Too late now, I will have to be more careful in the future when I tell my secretary to order my costume… what means the most to me , is raising money for Wounded Warriors and Canines for Warriors , two non – profits that help those suffering from PTSD. I hope they will forgive me, when they learn my true motive was to raise as much money as possible to help their brothers in arms “. He is a good man from head to toe.
