Beware: there’s a dingus with a gun out there

| June 17, 2013

This link was on my Facebook thingie written by Heidi Yewman, one of those anti-gun nuts who think they can make a point by acting like their perception of people they don’t understand. Heidi, like I said, doesn’t like people owning guns, so she goes out and buys a gun and all of the attendant paperwork that goes along with that and then carries the gun in public. She’s such a ditz that she pulls over a cop to learn how to operate her gun, because she says she is going to “only do what is minimally required for permits, licensing, purchasing and carrying, and finally be prepared to use it for protecting myself at home or in public”. Now, I’m not sure where she lives, but she bought the gun with no training and strapped it on with no training. Like I said, she didn’t bother to ask the dealer how to use the gun she’s carrying, so she stopped a cop and asked him because she freaked out after she got home and took it out of the box – a Glock 9mm.

So the article opens with her sitting in Starbucks with her gun, shaking nervously near children, I guess because the gun might just jump out of the holster and start putting kids down on it’s own.

Her feeling is that everyone is just like her – no training on how to handle firearms and monstrously stupid. Responsible gun owners know or learn how to handle their firearm before they buy it, certainly before they carry it in public. No one tell Heidi this, because she won’t listen, but the NRA offers firearms safety classes.

Actually, I’ve read the article a couple of times and the only thing that I can figure Heidi wants to do is accidentally shoot someone because she’s doing her best in that regard. The thing is, there are millions of gun owners who carry a weapon in public who don’t shoot people everyday because they didn’t do “what is minimally required” to own the gun.

Heidi is an irresponsible twit who I hope doesn’t shoot herself, but that’s what she deserves.

Geez…. You fall into a coma for 18 hours wake up and the world’s gone stupid!! I too was terrified of guns and didn’t allow them in my house because I had kids. Then my Father got sick and his “wife” not wanting to deal with it kicked him out. He was a former police officer so where he went his gun collection went. First I bought a gun safe, then myself and my kids all learned gun safety (I was taught as a kid since I was raised with guns but needed a refresher) and then how to use the guns safely, yes I taught my kids also. I figured if my kids knew 1) how to use a gun and 2) what damage they could do they would respect them more and there was less chance of something awful happening. When Daddy died the guns became mine. So I keep my guns locked up in a safe with trigger locks on them also. By learning how to use a gun the fear was removed of them and I ended up buying myself a small one to carry on my person and I’m getting a CC permit. But I’m not doing that until I’ve had more training on “this” gun and more target practice so I know that I will not be a danger to myself or others. I think that is the safe and responsible way to own a gun. This twit is going to get someone killed and I hope to God she doesn’t have kids or it might very well be one of them. She’s been anti-gun so you know she’s taught her kids guns are evil so suddenly having one in the home it will be treated as a novelty and if left unattended they will try to play with it behind her back to see what all the fuss was about or why Mom is such a hypocrite now. I do not look forward to reading more about her and what will happen in her future. I wish her the best as I do… Read more »

Romans 1:22 seems to apply to a lot of the Left… and most of the GOP leadership, too…

The Dead Man

So she’s already trying to set up some fake hysteria. What’s the over and under on her just getting frustrated that the gun doesn’t escape and shoot at her and she generates an ‘incident’?

My very benign comment about rights and responsibility was also moderated out. Just like living in Northampton, Massachusetts again.

We make a point of buying a typically used police turn in gun at Riley’s every time we go back to NH just because we can. I’ll have to take a look at Village Gun the next time I’m back up there, though.

“Know why you can’t get a blowjob in Mass between May and October? Cause all the cocksuckers are in Maine and NH.” I’ll have to use that the next time I have to deal with the line of Massholes on the highway looking at leaves.

I went to that link.

It led to a blog for Ms. Magazine, which was started as a feminist mag in the 1970s. It was aimed at guiding women into being self-sufficient and strong, able to take care of ourselves when there was no one else in sight, and nothing else. I doubt seriously that anyone on the editorial staff back then would have ever blocked comments that had common sense behind them.

It has since the 1970s deteriorated into a pile of chicken shit whiny libspeak that is enough to gag a normal human being. Instead of supporting women in a ‘go-girl’ way, it’s become a whine-azine and this silly stupid woman is one of the reasons I wouldn’t give it a second glance. They want it all but they don’t want to have to work for it.

Sorry, bimbos — it don’t work that way.

I wouldn’t take this silly bitch for anything but what she is, an over-reacting whiner, until or unless she either gets rid of that gun or gets some training on it. Of course she got an adrenaline rush. She did something VERY NAUGHTY, and she’s sure she’s going to get caught. The worst case scenario is that she will hurt or kill somebody and blame it on the gun, when she didn’t have to go get that thing in the first place.

She doesn’t have a clue on how to make a point, does she?

Pile it on her, but make sure you include her name when you do it. It’s at the top of the editorial column. That way, she gets some google hits.

In the meantime, could someone please track down that dumb broad and take that thing away from her before she shoots herself in the foot? Oh, wait — she already did that.

Geez!

Bobo–you’ll be happy to know that the Spaulding Turnpike widening project is completed after five years. So now the Masshole ‘tard backup begins in Rochester versus Dover. Whee.

But getting in/out/through Conway is still a nightmare, to say nothing of the lake.

Comment still indicated as awaiting moderation, almost a full twenty-four hours after I posted it. No reply from the magazine to my email.

Whatever.

Hey kids,

Just so you know who she is:
http://gunvictimsaction.org/boards-of-directors/heidi-yewman-vancouver-washington/

A board member of an pro-gun control group here in Washington State. So she is an activist in the same form as the that former US Naval Officer and Astronaut who got busted hard for his “Guns are too easy to get” shenanigans.

Anonymous

D’oh! She doesn’t like guns and doesn’t want anyone to have them either.

PintoNag

Comment STILL “awaiting moderation.” Probably get there just about the time hell freezes into a solid block.

You’ve really got to wonder about a magazine that invites comments on their blog, and then can’t handle dissent or even critique.

Well. It took them over a week to do it, but my comment got moderated also.

Now I remember why I never bothered to read that rag in the first place. Brainless, spineless, and screeching is no way to go through life, Sasha. (My apologies to the original quote.)
