US Navy SEAL Major on Facebook

| July 2, 2012

Someone dropped off this Facebook link on our fan page to an honest to goodness Navy SEAL who happens to be a major – probably the only one on the planet, because that rank which every other service calls “major”, the Navy calls “Lieutenant Commander”. Here’s Ayush Arora’s picture which he explains was taken by a hostage he and his team rescued;

We’re supposed to believe that the guy in the middle is this guy getting his face pinched;

Also according to the text, this is the hostage he rescued and the other two people in the picture are Danny Sanchez (who is actually a woman) and Bikash Chaudry. Please don’t harass those three people, I’m pretty sure they have nothing to do with this ass monkey – especially since he identified one of his team mates with the ID of a woman whose name sounds like she’s a man. They all just happen to be Linkin Park fans.

It’s also cool that hostages have cameras to take pictures of their rescuers.

I know, it’s almost as if they’ve stopped trying, isn’t it?

BFA’s and orange barrels. Hostages must have been held captive by paper targets or dummies.

Thanks for the clarification Master Chief. I was only referring to the title of SEAL in my explanation

Concur with #52! Thanks for clearing that wasn’t sure if some of the Teams joint or not.

And to add to what the Master Chief said, even graduation from BUD/S doesn’t necessarily a SEAL make. Even when the prospective graduate gets to a team, they have to be qualified before they earn their Trident. It’s similar to just because a guy has graduated from Submarine School, it doesn’t make them a qualified submariner.

Did you see this nugget of wisdom? ‘Major’ Gorthan subscribes to “Mark Helf Captain at US NAVY SEALs”
“KD6HVM REVEREND, UNIVERSAL LIFE CHURCH AMSTERDAMN, HAWAIIAN CANNABIS MINISTRIES SEAL TEAM 7
Lives in Garden Grove, California”

@54

Do SEAL Teams still impose 6 month probation period for candidates when they get assigned to a team (after graduating from SQT course)? With all the money / time spent I would imagine to cut a prospective SEAL at the end of probationary period would take serious justification to NSW leadership. Like why wasn’t this individual identified earlier in selection pipeline as unsuitable for SEAL Teams or did candidate commit inexcusable safety violation ?

I don’t know if this matters at this point, but the second photo of the guy getting his face pinched which was on this asshat’s face book is actually Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington from a band called Linkin Park.

And the catch about the blank adapter. I missed it the first time I looked at the picture.

They will never learn

I’m sure Seal Teams always use blank addapters while on Hostage Rescue Missions!!!!! This is so there are no “UBL Wife Mishaps!!!

#33 “major” Charles Gorthan, the pic on his facebook profile shows him wearing a CCT patch, which is Air Force not Navy. the subdued US flag is on the wrong shoulder and the cap looks like it’s a civilian cap. does any branch still wear BDU’s?

So… I am not sure if any one posted this yet, but what he said was that the picture was taken by one of the hostages he rescued. Not that it was taken during the rescue mission. So he is simply stating that he met up with the rescued person at some other point and time. If you honestly thought that the person was taking the picture during the rescue mission you are as delusional as the other people you ‘catch’ on this website.

Additionally, almost every single person on facebook posts pictures of celebrities or some other dumb picture as their profile pic at one point or another. The fact that you didn’t catch that he is in a Linkin Park cover band and has a pic of the Linkin Park band members as his profile pic… wow.

Not trying to troll, just wondering how you interpreted what he said so prodigiously.

@66.

Your an idiot.

@ 66 Kevin come here … closer … a little closer … YOU FRIGGIN’ MORON. Get out of here and close the door behind you!

Mr. Blue

It is not just the SEALs that go on missions with blank firing adapters. Why, during my time in His Majesty the Queen’s Royal Swiss Submersible Zeppelin Squadron, the underwater door gunners would load up the Vickers with blanks just to make things sporting for the wogs…

joad58

If this clown is either a Major or a SEAL,I am the Queen of France.

@71: Marie Antoinette? Is that you? 🙂

USMCE8Ret12

Nice orange tip on his weapon. My son has one, on his GI Joe foam dart gun.

So… SEALs typically use blanks in a hostage grab? They are more bad ass than I gave them credit for. The guy on the right with the M16/M203 has a blank adapter on his weapon.

So now he is claiming to be a Marine?? Wtf???

Nik

@75

No, no, no. He’s claiming to be employed by the “Marines Crops.”

Underwater farming, I’m guessing.

Green Thumb

Not sure who they rescued as it seems to be a beach party.

I bet “LTC” BH Austin was running the OP.

J C

I love the orange/red blank adaptors on the weapons in the pic.

OMG, I just found your site and I can’t stop laughing. These morons are just too funny. I did 2 OIF tours and what you guys are doing for all that has served honorably is to be commended. Keep it up.

BTW, that first picture this particular moron posted was probably taken on Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek during one of the Seal Team Demonstrations they have every July/August time frame and taken before the teams went from woodland BDU’s to their current uniforms. It is open to the public and henceforth all the civilian witnesses to this extraordinary rescue.

Keep up the good work gentlemen and I look forward to future laughs. Some of your responses are over the top funny.

did anyone mention the blank adapter on the 203 gunner!
