The passing of a legend (Morgue report added for doubters)

| February 10, 2012

Someone dropped off a link in one of our posts today that announced the passing of the winner of our Phony Soldier Tournament, the fellow whom I named General Ballduster McSoulpatch. Even the Army Times like the name.

I remember when we first met, in a picture that the folks at POW Network sent me one Saturday and I distributed the photo to the MilBlog community and we started our first pitchfork brigade search for him. It was the first time that I realized the reach that TAH had when a member of the Houston gay community dropped a dime on him.

Apparently, he passed just a few months before the tournament, so it’s sad that he never knew how much we really thought of him. But here’s the obit;

RIP, General. I hope that tourney win will get you some special privileges in the eighth circle of Hell (Malebolge, for you Dante fans, is where frauds spend their eternity).

Updated for the doubters who think he faked his death, too. Thanks to billo at Blackfive for the links for the final research we have to do on this ass-munch;

It’s Walter PAYTON, Teddy. PAYTON.

Jesus H. Fucking Roosevelt Christ, beat your face.

Maybe he died from food poisoning after choking on a 12 year old Thai wiener.

I think the BM trophy (Ballduster McSoulpatch) would be appropriate. Who will win the big BM this year? Perhaps we should remember him when he was in better health and call it the Healthy BM trophy. Whatta think?

Whataya.

Auto correct is no help when you are trying to be a smartass. ????

The link notes that the obit was published in the New Haven Register. There isn’t anything published locally in Houston. Something is definitely fishy here! Who publishes and obit and doesn’t list service info?

Dave

AmyJ- obits are paid ads… money says this was paid for by the parents in their home-town paper and the services probably occurred in Houston. This appeared in September and he died in mid-August – he was probably planted or cremated before this ever appeared.

Gee, wonder where the Phelps family was… this is one they could really have sunk their teeth into. He actually WAS gay!

Nothing shows up in the Harris County death records for anyone with the last name McManus dying since 2007.

I’ve now had a link shared on TAH and Blackfive. I can die happy.

@ 10 Did they Bury him ass up so friends would recognize him and have a place to park their bicycles?

Yes … They did bury him face down or as other my say, “ass up”. Truth is Patrick requested this so our good friend Ronnie could give him anal tongue darts. Ronnie likes them dead too.

Are autopsy reports public records? I have a Bro in Houston who will look it up if it is. I’m not gonna believe it until I see verifiable proof. Like someone else said, “He’s faked everything else…”!

Hate to say this, but just because the M.E. has a case number does not mean that the person is dead. It only means he/she is reported dead. I have been on a few scenes where the examiner only needs a statement from an attending physician (who does not have to be at the death scene) to state there was a condition which does not require an autopsy. Case number is issued and body transported to location other than M.E. office. I live in Houston and it seems strane that no local news services reported his death, given his notararity. Also his drivers license lists him “reported deceased” vs “deceased”. Just seems odd.

Odd, you can no longer look up this case number. Or find anyone with his last name.

Ma’am on behalf on the President of the United States, and the United States Army, and a greatful nation, please accept this flag as a symbol of appreciation for your loved one’s honorable and faithful service…NAH, I am just kidding. Ballduster gets no flag!

Nice job, Never. Did you notice that until YOUR comment, only one comment had been posted about this clown in a year? And that lone comment came five months ago. If you wanted this guy to, as you say, rest in peace, you really should have left well enough alone. And now you’ve gone and dug him up. Nice job. And as for your having a problem with this blog, all these who care, please raise your right hand. [Playing theme from Jeopardy] Dag. No hands.
