CAPT Stephen "Bones" McCartney, M.D. FACS

I was enlisted USAF in 1967 Went to “Inventory Management” School in Amarillo AFB after Basic. This turd was “Supply Management” ? We were nicknamed “Titless WAFs”. Having been a hospital orderly before enlisting,I took the tests as fast as I could and became an Aeromedical Evac technician. I loved it. Flew everywhere and got to work with nurses and docs. The doctors and pilots got all the action from the nurses, sometimes at the back of the plane in flight. My job was to hang the large wool blankets up for privacy. Boy was I envious at 18 yrs old. Eleven years later I graduated medical school !!
