DK: if you look at his record of assignments, it’s pretty clear that 8 years includes DEP time plus post-discharge IRR time. His active duty time was exactly 3 years on the nose – 5 July 1989 to 4 July 1992.
The lack of a GCM could be telling, or could be due to a unit simply not getting around to processing the GCM paperwork for a guy who was ETSing.
