Stabbing death believed to be ‘justifiable homicide’

A coroner’s inquest jury of six Ozark County residents has found the stabbing death of Robert Christian Chambers of Gainesville on Feb. 12 to be “justifiable homicide.” The decision came Thursday afternoon.

The Ozark County Times is reporting the opinion of the coroner’s inquest jury is only taken as a consideration by the prosecutor. It is not a legally binding verdict. The prosecutor may still file charges.

The jury was charged with determining if criminal charges should be filed in connection with the incident or if the action was the result of non-criminal self-defense.

Chambers died at a home near the Arkansas-Missouri state line, after he was reportedly stabbed in the chest with a “sword” following the break out of a fight.

The identity of the man who stabbed Chambers has not been released.

Police: Man robbed teacher, shot by homeowner during break-in

Carrie Laine
A man has been charged, accused of robbing a teacher at knife point and then breaking into a home where he was shot by a homeowner.

Flint Police were called to the 1000 block of Garden on Feb. 11 for reports of a shooting.

People in the home said that a man, later identified as Jacob Adam Sword, was armed with a knife and was attempting to break into their home. They shot him, and then held him until police arrived.

During the same time-frame, police said it was reported that a teacher at a nearby elementary school had just been robbed at knife point. Officers said it happened after students had been dismissed.

Officers said the description of the man matched that of the man who was taken into custody at the home on Garden.

A pair of DRTs and one inconvenienced, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Bring on the bluff to take the pot.

An extra, just because. Something about keeping your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target. I think this was caused by complacency.

Two Bryan police officers injured after accidental shooting

By Michael Oder
According to officials, two officers with the department’s Tactical Response Team were injured when the gun went off. They were taken to CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Hospital to be treated.

Both officers were released the same night.

The department says an administrative review of policies, procedures, and training will take place to determine what can be done to ensure that similar incidents never occur.

Their primary concern is the safety and well-being of the officers and the department as a whole, the release said.

No other details were immediately released.

One offed with a sword, and then a Sword apparently brings a knife to a gunfight.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Found this over at American Thinker.

Not the typical “feel good”, but definitely -good-

No bluff needed to take this pot. The hand has been turned into a full house with the bonus story. Aces (2 DRT) and 3 Eights (balls). As Hondo so eloquently pointed out above, Mr. Sword toting a knife to a gunfight (DAM) (1 eight ball), the popo with another DAM causing a Staff Summary Sheet for the rest of the shift (2 eight balls). Aces & 8s full house takes the pot.

Besides that, the other players were distracted by Ruger’s Rendition of the designs of the Saintly John Moses Browning (Howitzer be his name). Whose deal is it next? Ante up!

I don’t care if the door is wide open, you do not
enter someones home unannounced, uninvited, unwanted or
unknown by the owner.

Ok. All the comedy and low hanging fruit is already taken. So I will say this on the first story.
The coroner’s jury has made a decision.
The prosecutor CAN decide against the jury, and decide to press charges against all common sense. BUT as I understand it, most prosecutors are elected. If he wants to be re-elected, he needs to go with the coroner’s inquest jury and drop all charges.

So it looks like a police officers’ gun “just went off”.
Article does not say how many times the gun fired when it just went off.
However two officers were hit.
The article also does not say if any of the ones hit were the one holding the gun.
As a matter of fact all the interesting details of rifle or pistol, semi or full auto or even caliber are missing from the article.
Still, it is interesting to note that none of my guns, or those of my buddies have just gone off.
I have had a negligent discharge which was scary but no one was hurt.
I wonder if the officer had a negligent discharge?
No, not possible.
Gun must have just gone off.
