82-Year-Old Shoots Burglar During North St. Louis Home Invasion

Posted By Doyle Murphy
When a burglar tried to break into his home early Sunday morning, an 82-year-old man pulled out a gun and shot him, police say.

The suspected prowler is 37 years old and was seriously wounded. Police say he was taken from the scene by ambulance and was listed in critical/unstable condition.

The confrontation began about 2:40 a.m. when police received a call of someone trying to break into the house in the 900 block of Laurel Street, which is in the West End neighborhood about six blocks north of the Delmar Loop.

By the time police arrived, the 82-year-old had already shot the alleged intruder. He and a 59-year-old man who also lives in the house told officers the invader had forced his way inside before the older man fired on him.

Hit-and-run victim is shot minutes later by man trying to help him, police say

By: Ryan Hughes
LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) – Largo Police Department detectives are investigating after a good Samaritan found a man lying in the road and tried to help the man, but wound up shooting him when the man lunged at him with a knife.

“Our officers responded to what would have been a hit-and-run crash,” said police spokesman Lt. Randall Chaney.

That was around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators talked to witnesses who said they saw pedestrian lying in the road and assumed he had been hit by a car.

While trying to help the pedestrian, bystanders urged him to stay down and wait for medical assistance. The pedestrian collected his belongings and began walking away from the scene.

The good Samaritans followed, Chaney said.

After walking for a block and a half, the pedestrian became angry.

“The pedestrian turned, opened a box cutter and lunged at the good Samaritan.

A couple very good reasons to carry if you can, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Today totaled zero morts, but two feeling the pain and one in the wind, but without a little girl. This one will try again.

“After walking for a block and a half, the pedestrian became angry”

I do not think “Good Samaritan” means what they think it means.

Foxbat40

Sounds like the guy was trying to fake like he was a victim of a hit and run. When he realized people were calling police and medical assistance rather than throwing money at him, he decided to leave.

The rest is in the story.

I guess androgynous Pat from Saturday Night Live found a career in law enforcement. As Peter Gabriel sang: if looks could kill, they probably will. Wiping up milk and Cheerios from the kitchen table now.

“milk and Cheerios”

A morning favorite with frozen wild blueberries and maple syrup. The milk freezes around the berries in clumps.

That doesn’t look like th PA uniform. They wear grey and black. No flashy blue and gold items.

Connecticut State Police patch, I believe.

Leave drunks alone.

Pedos, on the other hand – shoot them, and have done with it.

“The witness then pointed a handgun at the suspect and told him to leave.”

Does not sound very “witness like”.
