2 critical following attempted robbery outside Feltonville bar
By Bob Brooks
FELTONVILLE (WPVI) — Police are investigating a shooting outside a Philadelphia bar that’s left two men fighting for their lives. The Action Cam was on the scene on the 4800 block of Front Street in the city’s Feltonville section around 1:45 a.m. Saturday.
Security cameras spot a man walking down East Eleanor Street just off of North Front Street.
Then according to police, he attempts to rob the 27-year -old victim.
Police say during that struggle the 27-year-old was critically wounded when the suspects gun fired.
We spoke with a woman who saw it happen from across the street.
“I could see the like, I can’t think of the word,” The flashes? “Yeah, the flashes I could see the flashes,” she said.
She says it was so close she thought her house was going to be hit.
“Yeah, really crazy and I’m crazy so I bent down below the front door,” she continued.
Now immediately after the victim was shot out here, someone from inside the bar ran out. That person had a license to carry and they shot the robbery suspect.

Todays score is a respectable 1 / 2 / 0, Delta Whiskeys and Wiskettes. One attaining ambient temperature, one hospitalized on the way to a cage, and none reported in the wind. But you know they’re out there.

“After asking the intruder – who also appeared to be armed – to leave”
WTF? Ya gotta ask?
Oh, is that one of those “bananna clips” in the photo?
“….”bananna (sic) clips” in the photo?”
It must be, because the “clip” is very a peeling to me.
Love the header stats. Those statistics can be used to refute a bunch of lies and damn lies.
Story 1. Do not break into my home disturbing my sleep or canoodling with a female type person. It will not end well for you.
Story 2. Don’t take fists to a potential pistol fight. We older gentlemen are not going to risk bodily damage to ourselves in a fisticuffs match. We will shoot you…
Story 3. Dahell? Sister Mary Grace…cleanup on Aisle 3.
On a personal note/feel good story. Had a lady friend by on evening last. I was perusing back thru my TAH FGS from Sat morn. She noticed the .357 S&W pr0n and asked “What kind of pistol is that?” Having not been paying attention I replied, “Say what?” She asked again, “That pistol there, what kind is it, I know it’s not a gun because it does not have wheels and it isn’t mounted on a ship.”
I wept tears of joy.
Aww, 5th/77th has a gunfriend. I think that’s sweet.
Sister Mary Grace will not touch that Part III because it is just dumber than a bag of doorknobs. It is a fine example of bad writing for potential “reporters” to examine, learn from, and heed ‘don’t write that kind of crap unless you want your knuckles rapped’.
In regard to that Banner feller, seems to me his has a severe case of embedded road rage and he’s just mad at everybody. If someone pulls over to let you pass by, why would you get out of your vehicle and punch him? This feller seems like what used to be called a hammerhead if it was a horse – any excuse to throw the head back and boink the rider in the face.
Obviously a New Jersey compliant 10 round magazine.
With room for 20 more.
That is an AK variant in the photo, the most prolific rifle that takes a “banana clip.”
Mostly, I heard that term used for the 30-round M-1 Carbine magazines.
Anyone tried one of the recent modern-made Carbine copies? I could be tempted…
The higher end ones are supposed to be as good as the original GI ones.
A sort of feel good story on Drudge, looks like Cohen had a rough time somewhere, black eye, left arm in a sling, hospital ID on his wrist. Poor darling probably hurt himself with one of those of toxic Gillette girly-man razors.
Hideous snitch is a prime candidate for sexual reassignment.
Damn, I’m sure glad you posted them-there statistics. After all the trash stories I read in most of the media, I was startin’ to think all my guns were defective or somethin’. Ain’t a one of ’em that’s jumped up and run out, gone off and shot somebody all by itself.
“… awakened by loud crashing noises coming from inside their home.” Yeah, nothing like bouncing off the furniture after breaking into a home. Dumbass.
Barnes sounds as if he is a long time loser with a hard on for everyone and everything. I see them each time I venture from the safe confines of my home. My home is almost a fortress. Several years ago the State of Florida had a program that paid a portion of certain improvement costs. I got all my windows replaced with the type that will take a direct hit from a 2×4 at hurricane velocity with only minimal damage. I also replaced the doors with fiberglass ones, each with a long throw deadbolt. If doing a door replacement, I recommend fiberglass. The initial outlay is greater, but they simply do not rust. Or at least ours have not rusted. We had replaced the doors in, oh, 1990, but the Flori-Duh weather caused them to rust from the bottom up. Since installing fiberglass doors in about 2000, they have not rusted one iota. Fiberglass also adds a nice return on investment when it is time to sell. It’s a good selling point down here.
A bonus with these type of window is they save me, IIRC, $450 annually in home insurance.
