Robber sues Good Samaritan for subduing him
NavyEODguy sends us a link to the story of Pamela Chimienti, the mother of Ryan Flores who tried to stick up a Starbucks in Fresno, California with a knife. His plan was disrupted by Cregg Jerri, 58, who disarmed Flores and stabbed him 17 times with Flores’ own knife. Now, Chimienti is attempting to sue Jerri because he used “excessive force” on her son;
“The guy, in my opinion, went from a Good Samaritan to a vigilante,” Pamela Chimienti, Flores’ mother, told KSEE-TV. “Stabbing somebody that many times, it doesn’t take that many stab wounds to get somebody to succumb to you.”
Mark Flores, the man’s father, told the Fresno Bee: “I understand he (his son) robbed the store but (Jerri) stabbed my son 17 times.”
The Fresno police chief reportedly called the report of the lawsuit “ludicrous.”
Flores is currently serving his time in the hoosegow.

Butthurt reactions, to include refusing to see the contributions of their own failures as parents to what ultimately happened. The good Samaritan was 58 years old. The idiot was 30 years old. With some exceptions, chances are that the 30 year old is going to be a lot stronger than the 58 year old, who got stabbed in the neck. The 58 year old has to compensate for that potential difference.
The video shows that, as soon as the fight got underway, the older man was vulnerable. He had the advantage of weight and of having been around the block longer than the idiot. The Idiot is proving to be hard to subdue, the man had to keep stabbing until the idiot quit.
The parents should know better. Back in the ’70s and ’80s, we were warned that if we did stupid things like this, we were bound to get hurt or killed. Something like this should’ve emphasized that point.
Based on “moms” comments, it appears she has some experience in how many stab wounds are required to get someone to “succumb to you”… great grammar there too… lol

I would bet the majority of wounds were on the perp’s hands and forearms- defensive in nature. A lot fewer than 17 wounds to blood bearing organs would leave a corpse.

Ad with a shooting – you don’t shoot him till you think he’s done, you shoot him till HE thinks he’s done. If you have a knife, same principle applies: until the other guys quits and sincerely gives up, he’s still an active threat and needs some more openin’ up.
The fact that the goblin is recovering in the hospital shows that the samaritan used more restraint that I would have used. I think cutting his heart out and feeding it it to him is a reasonable outcome for his crime.

Somebody need more training.
There 3 principles to a knife fight:
1) Dominant hand
2) Thrusting stabs
3) Center mass
It ain’t rocket science.
4) Repeat as needed
You can inflict a bunch of stab wounds before the other guy bleeds out enough to stop fighting. If most of them are non-lethal (shallow or missing major vessels or organs, non torso, etc), the count can go way up. If most of them were actually -cuts- on limbs, then the number can go way up before someone bleeds out.
Especially if the knife-wielder is desperate and motivated.

The mom is the reason this (kid) is the way he is and robbing stores. She was one of those parents who told there kids they never did anything wrong and the other people were at fault so the son basically started to notice he can do whatever he wants and the mom will blame everyone else. This man who jumped in to help is being blamed from the mom is absolutely ridiculous and the mom needs to take her mom blinders off and thank this man for showing this kid right and wrong.
