Police say a man was shot and killed Tuesday night while attempting to rob residents at the College Club Apartments.
Laron Fryson, 20, was shot after entering the apartment with two accomplices and an AK-47 at about 10 p.m. at the South Adams Street apartments, according to Tallahassee Police Department. Fryson was shot by a resident who feared for his life, the report states. He died at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare at 10:45 p.m. while undergoing emergency care.
Two teens, 17-year-olds Tony Hill and Alvin Green, have been arrested as suspects in the incident that left Fryson dead. Both were charged with homicide and armed home invasion robbery. Green sUFfered non-life threatening injuries during the incident and was also treated at TMH.
Lancaster City Police reported that, at 2:35 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of Marietta Avenue and found the homeowner and his wife, along with the suspect, William Louis Stewart, 46, of Lancaster. The couple reported Stewart, who they did not know, had forced his way through the front door.
Police said the man had been sleeping upstairs when he heard the front door being kicked in and his wife screaming for help. After retrieving his handgun and running downstairs to protect his wife, the man saw that Stewart had broken into the home, and Stewart approached him with a piece of wood, police said.
At that point, the homeowner fired one shot that struck Stewart in the chest, according to police. The woman then called 911 to report the incident.
Stewart remains hospitalized, police said, and faces charges including burglary and simple assault.
From Honolulu, Hawaii;
Honolulu police are investigating an attempted home invasion where the suspects pretended to be police officers.
It happened at a home in Kaneohe Tuesday night.
We’re told the suspects barged into the home and hurt a 62-year-old woman, but her relatives and an off-duty officer came to the rescue and caught one of them.
Dorsey Roberts and his wife found three men standing in front of his aunt’s home.
“I yelled at them in my loudest voice that don’t move or I’m going to beat you to death,” he said. “I saw the guy start to run from the front door, but at that time, my neighbor who is a police officer, he was off duty, arrived right then and he started chasing the guy.”
Together, Roberts and the officer took down the suspect.
“That’s when I grabbed him by his dreadlocks and arms and slammed him down and I just sat down on his back,” Roberts said.
Mr Roberts and his wife are both reportedly former Marines.
Wilted Willy sends us link from Sicklerville, New Jersey;
A Good Samaritan named Daryl was captured via surveillance video fighting an armed man who police say robbed a Wawa store on Cross Keys Road in Winslow Township.
“Pretty much didn’t know anything else that was going on around me whatsoever,” Daryl told Fox 29. “It was just stop him, get that gun out of his hand, and make sure everybody is safe.”

The 52-year-old good guy says he saw the 26-year-old suspect point a gun at two female workers before taking action.
“He put the pistol to the back of her head, and that’s when I just reacted. He struck me in the face a couple of times. One strike in my left eye resulting in three stitches and a busted lip. A few cuts and scrapes and bumps and bruises.”

“Laron” … “two teens” …
oh, brother
Hopefully Mr Laron didn’t have time to further pollute the shallow end of the gene pool with any progeny before joining the choir invisible. The spreading of Teh Stoopid Gene needs to be stopped.
“The spreading of Teh Stoopid Gene needs to be stopped.”
Agree 100%, but until it ceases to be a career path it will not stop.
Have a baby, get paid, have a baby, get paid. Repeat …
Don’t give me any crap about the ‘R’ word. In this case, it isn’t racism, it’s realism.
No race was specified, and there are trash in all races who milk the system.
ACTUALLY !!!! “Mr.Laron” had 3 babies 1 set of twins and an unborn “Mr.Laron” hasn’t “polluted” anything just because this is the story the media chose to publish does not mean that this is the truth …. here’s some truths for you however “Mr. LARON” was to be on his way to a football combine that very next morning Mr.Laron had chosen a career path that was to better his life for him and his offspring he was sweet and humble i could go on and on but I will not please refrain from trying to tarnish his name when your only source of information is the media !!!! The media has a way a taking the first bad version of a story and running with it truth or not
When “hanging with your homies” means B&E. . .
For some, “hangin’ wit’ da homies” should be at the end of a high branch and a short rope.
“entering the apartment with two accomplices and an AK-47 at about 10 p.m”
No time for exchanging pleasantries.
Just kill all three while you still can.
but I thought AKs were invincible criminal death-dealing machines? How could anyone survive being in the same room?
Citizens can, and do, fight back to protect themselves, their family and strangers. Whether they use firearms or just beat the shit out of the thugs, they show that good will prevail if the effort is put forth.
Hawaii makes it so difficult and onerous for residents to own firearms (licensing, registration, fees, waiting periods, etc.) that the law-abiding citizenry in Hawaii has been basically disarmed. Welcome to socialist-proggy paradise…
I see the suspect did not have a weapon, so what are you trying to say?
Hawaii makes it almost impossible for law-abiding citizens to legally own firearms; that’s what I’m saying…
“I yelled at them in my loudest voice that don’t move or I’m going to beat you to death,”
When that’s all you’re left with to defend yourself and others. . .
Put another way: he’s saying that Hawaii is OK with the weak being perpetually at the mercy of the strong, with no effective way to defend themselves against crime. Even Stevie Wonder should be able to see that.
If he wants to, of course. He might prefer to remain living in fantasy land instead.
