Wednesday morning feel good stories
From Temple, Texas;
It happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of North 9th street and West French Avenue. Police say a suspect tried to break into a car when a homeowner shot the suspect in the leg.
The suspect was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
From Rising Sun, Indiana, another police officer owes his life to an armed citizen;
The officer, whose name is not being released, was dispatched on a suspicious person. At some point during their interaction, [Justin Holland] began to resist the officer.
According to ISP’s preliminary investigation, the woman went to help the officer “who was being overtaken by Holland.” She fired a personally owned firearm once.
The conservation officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the county hospital as well, according to ISP.
Holland was DOT at the hospital.
From Orange County, Florida;
The men, both in their early 20s, broke into a home on Perrine Drive shortly after 10:45 a.m. and pointed a gun at the homeowner’s head while making demands, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jane Watrel said.
The woman’s son ran to a bedroom to retrieve a gun and shot both intruders in self-defense, Watrel said.
Investigators said the body of one of the intruders was found lying in the front yard of the home, but the other man was able to make it to Winter Park Memorial Hospital.

3 incidents, involving 4 thug types, 2 dead, 2 wounded. All at the hands of legally armed citizens defending themselves, their family, their local law enforcement, and their goods.
So, now law enforcement needs armed citizens to come to their aid…..nice.
That has been happening for years. With Social Media, and the press fighting for space, it is now getting more coverage.
And she didn’t discharge 16 rounds hitting 9 bystanders in the process…..NYPD, please take note.
