Sunday morning feel good stories
From Knoxville, Tennessee;
Knoxville police officers were called to the home off McKamey Road early Friday morning, where they found a woman lying on the ground outside the back door, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The woman, who was identified as Stacie Mundy, 38, of Knoxville, was pronounced dead at UT Medical Center.
According to a press release from KPD, Mundy was forcing her way into the home when the homeowner shot her “in defense of his life.”
From St Louis, Missouri;
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of 20-year-old Jarrett Richardson inside the apartment.
Investigators learned Richardson and another man entered the apartment and attempted to rob its three occupants: two 21-year-old women and a 24-year-old man.
Jackson said one of the women obtained her own firearm and started shooting at the suspects, striking Richardson and killing him.
From New Orleans, Louisiana;
[Ed] Marrero said he was eating dinner earlier when his son called to tell him about the robbery.
Marrero said his son was working when a man came into the store and pulled a gun, telling everyone to get into a back room in the store and open the store’s safe.
The would-be robber was reaching into the safe when a customer shot him multiple times, Marrero said.

3 incidents of citizens being attacked, and in each of them, a legally armed citizen stopped the attack. Identify the target, shoot center mass, and empty the weapon.
My feel good story. Yesterday, while volunteering at my local VA Hospital, I was talking one of our inpatients. He was feeling rather depressed. As a disabled veteran myself, I was encouraging him not to give up. He was feeling better as I was leaving.
No guns involved.
Good job!
A threefer? Great way to start the day.
