Two charged with murder of soldier in Miami
Bobo sends a link with the story of Fernando Duarte, a twelve-year Army veteran who was murdered at a Miami, Florida casino by 25-year-old Kenin Bailey and 25-year-old Mikey Lenard after an altercation at the poker tables.
Detectives said Duarte and his friend were asked to leave. When the men crossed paths again outside the parking lot, they again exchanged words. When the men got into their cars, police said the suspects actively sought out Duarte alone in his car.
According to a police report, Bailey allegedly shot Durate while driving past him, hitting the victim once in the shoulder, pelvis and hand. His friend ran to him to try to help out.
Detectives say Bailey then walked up to a security guard and told him he shot Duarte in self defense. Detectives say the Army veteran was unarmed.
Bailey and Lenard have been charged with the soldier’s murder.

I’d give good odds Sgt Duarte probably insulted some overweening sense of undeserved pride so many of the Dindu Nuffin tribe seem wear on their shoulders in the form of huge chips. How often do we hear that as the excuse for all the senseless shootings committed by these effin dirtbags who have been social parasites their entire lives and are entitled to absolutely no respect?
What a damned, sad shame for an Army Ranger to go out in such a manner.

Drop them off outside the barracks of an infantry Bn at Bragg with notes stapled to their chests that they were guilty of the murder of a Ranger, and just let nature take its course.

Look at those two skinny asswipes. Their lawyer will probably argue that Sgt Duarte, as an Army Ranger, posed a lethal threat to them, even without a sidearm.

An honorable soldier who made positive contributions to the social fabric of the country gunned down by two low life thug PoS whose only contribution has been to create carbon dioxide. This could be first degree murder, depending on how the DA wants to go with it. Seems they sought out the soldier to kill him. Simply scum. How did they convert their government ‘assistance’ into cash to play at the tables?
Retired Law Enforcement can get fairly simple paperwork to carry a sidearm basically anywhere.
Any armed forces person serving, retired, or Honorably Discharged should be issued said paperwork on request.
Might not have helped in this specific instance, but the knowledge that “member of the armed forces” means -armed- at all times might cut down on this sort of bullshit.
