Muslim attacks Jewish counter protester in DC (UPDATED) [Jonn]
ANSWER and the Muslim American Society were at it again today in DC, this time in front of the Israeli Embassy. Of, course, you know I couldn’t resist going. Yep Brian Becker, the ANSWER national coordinator was there again calling for the arrest of George Bush and the rest of the criminals so they can answer for their “crimes”. Lord knows what they’ll do after January. It looks like they had a few hundred;

But it had the feel of a social event more than a protest;

They even had a token self-hating Jew. Just one.

See the yellow flag? It’s the Hezbollah flag – sweet crowd, huh?

There were two counter protesters. The little guy on your right was a Lithuanian Jew who had immigrated here in 1985.

When I went up the street to start filming the protest as it moved to the Egyptian Embassy, I kept an eye on that corner where the two counterprotesters were and I saw this guy in the white shirt hit the Lithuanian Jew;

So I scurried back down and it’s all in this video;
I got there just in time to see a cop pinning the guy in the white shirt to the pavement.
So this guy and I are the only two who volunteered to be witnesses for him;

That’s Alex Knepper a blogger from Race42012 in the picture above describing the incident to the local Fox Affliate newsbabe. But I’m not hoping for much. The officer who interviewed us said that “these things never go to court”. Yeah, not in DC they don’t. It was assault, they took his statement, he has two witnesses, but that’s not enough to go to trial in DC. Wonder why? Me, too.
We’ll see if it makes the news tonight.

There are more photos of the protest at my Flickr page.

UPDATE: I just watched the Fox 5 newscast and they didn’t use either interview, but they did mention the incident in relation to the police officer that was injured tackling the aggressor (in my video you can see the officer struggling to stand up).

Where was your new “wingman” – Uncle J? You guys are having all the fun up there in DC these days. My guess is that you’re going to have many, many more opportunities. Sheesh.
I’ve listened to the dude in the white shirt three times now. I agree – he’s just blathering about nothing.
Oh…and by the way….14 seconds was impressive!
I am setting an open invitation for Jonn, Uncle Jimbo, TSO and the gang. If y’all ever find yourselves in the Fairfax area of Virginia, or the surroundings, drop me a line, and I will buy a round of drinks.
Jonn, thanks for reporting this. If we were expecting anything from Fox 5, then we’re stupid. This is what they’ve posted on the internet: http://www.myfoxdc.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=8186651&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.1.1
This is my current email.
I caught this post linked over at AtlasShrugged. Good work. I will now explore your site.
I am also in the DC area and would like to get dialed in to your local network to save the world. Find me over at http://www.defendthewest.com
amazing pics jonn. thanks for being there for that jewish protestor. i want to wipe that stupid grin off the guy in the white shirt meself!
Good report. If you can get it, it would be good to note the attacker’s name for the record.
[…] There is a bit of video available […]
Great job, Jonn. Thanks for running the gamut! Imagine I’ll see you in DC soon – the coming year I’m sure will have lots of opportunities.
It’s me! The guy in the skin-tight jeans. Alex Knepper. Haha. Good to see this stuff around the Internet, especially at blogs like AtlasShrugs.
I have my own write-up at http://www.race42012.com.

Your blogger there doesn’t sound very plausible:
“I tried to interview a number of them, all of which said, over and over, “I don’t talk to racist pigs. I don’t talk to racist pigs. I don’t talk to racist pigs.””
Really. All of them said that. That sounds like something a 6yo would make up.
Jonn…Awesome!
Hey Chris…when is the last time you went to a protest and tried to have an intelligent conversation? The anti folks don’t ever want it and the minute they get called to the carpet, this is exactly what happens. I have done it and the shit I heard were things like… FY, f*uck your service, impeach Bush” Over and over and over.
So, until you go and try it, STFU.
Twittered this post Jonn.
Will blog about it when I get back from West Chester. Will email you the status of ‘pinhead’.
This is why I can’t stand IVAW. Other than AS, they can’t have an intelligent conversation without resorting to “Truther” mode, foaming at the mouth, and screaming about how the person they are talking to is “Obviously not a Veteran, because they didn’t see what we saw overseas!”
What did Matthis see with his grand total of six days INSIDE the wire at Bagram AF?
Chris, and the guy in the white shirt with his BS about “700 concentration camps” sounds plausible? Really? I would imagine in that crowd of “protesters”, maybe 5 could find Israel, or the Middle East, on a map. At least two of the guys I saw in the vid looked more like they were trying to score with a female, rather than whatever it is they think they’re doing.
Defend, I don’t think anyone can have an intelligent conversation with any of those moonbats.
Lithuanians led the revolt of the Baltic States in breaking away from the Soviet Union, so it’s no surprise to me to see a lone Lithuanian Jewish immigrant counter-protesting the Hamas supporters, Lithuanians are a tough and intelligent people.
I hope the Israeli’s stand tough and erradicate Hamas!
Just wondering, if there are any lawyers in the audience – we know these protests are organized by groups affiliated with ANSWER and the Muslim Brotherhood, and we know that the Brotherhood is a fraternal and criminal organization whose members have been convicted of numerous crimes.
Could the attacker be sued and convicted under RICO statutes?
Mary asked:
Could the attacker be sued and convicted under RICO statutes?
Kind of like what was done in the suit against CAIR filed by David Yerushalmi.
They use the courts against us to infiltrate our country and erode our freedoms, so it makes perfect sense to use our courts against them, namely the Muslim Brotherhood and the communist group, ANSWER.
BTW, just a reminder that IVAW and VVAW are also included under the communist umbrella of ANSWER.
Aren’t the Lithuanians in Afghanistan and kicking butt too? Thank you for going, being prepared, and posting. You are so good at recognizing, and calling out, people in photos, I hope you just might get lucky with these thugs. Thank you, again.
FeFe,
My Grandparents came here (USA) from Lithuania and my Dad and his brothers served our country in WWII, I served at the end of the Vietnam Era and a nephew fought in the Battle of Fallujah. Lithuanian Special Forces soldiers are indeed stationed in Afghanistan. Here’s a recent report (12/13/2008) from Michael Yon that has a nice mention of the “LithSof”. From On the Front Lines in Afghanistan, Part Two:
Hell’s Angels — Lithuanian Style:
U.S. and Afghan soldiers in Zabul Province give high marks to the Lithuanian Special Forces, who like to ride these captured Taliban motorbikes to sneak up on, and chase Taliban fighters. The “LithSof” are on their way to becoming living legends: Both Afghans and Americans report that the Taliban are afraid of the Lithuanians. Stories about them are filled with dangerous escapades and humor.
Americans say that the Lithuanians are sort of a weaponized version of Borat, who think nothing of sauntering around a base in nothing but flip-flops and underwear. “They look like mountain men. They never shave, sometimes don’t bathe, and often roll out the gate wearing nothing but body armor and weapons. Not even a t-shirt,” an American soldier told me. The Lithuanians may be a little bit nuts, but the Americans love to have them around because Lithuanians love to fight, and when you need backup, you can count on them. That contrasts starkly with many of the NATO “partners.” Maybe when your country spends almost a half-century with the Soviet boot on its neck, its first generation of free soldiers know what freedom is worth — and that you sometimes have to fight for it.
We had Estonians with us in Iraq. Good troops with an aggressive attitude.

Mary Says: “Just wondering, if there are any lawyers in the audience … Could the attacker be sued and convicted under RICO statutes?”
You mean the guy who punched someone he disagreed with? Of course not.
You can google these statutes and see what they relate to if you haven’t heard of them before. For instance, there’s no suing involved and if there was, there’d be no conviction involved.
The dirty little secret of “peace” marches here in DC, particularly those organized by the Stalinists at ANSWER, is that the radicals who form the spine of them are violent thugs. I’ve been to a dozen of them over the last five years and have been physically attacked twice, threatened several times. What sets them off in my case was a video camera. They want to control the video cameras and cameras in general. They will order you around and if you ignore their commands, sometimes they will attack you. And no, the attacks don’t go to court. The police aren’t interested in them. I reported the first attack to three different policemen and they brushed me off.
Jonn wrote: Yeah, I’ve seen them assault the police and walk away without so much as a warning. And then DC police wonder why they have a crime problem.
“Really. All of them said that. That sounds like something a 6yo would make up.” – Chris
They were copying each other. They were (a) Trained to say that, or (b) Heard the first person who said that to me and decided to repeat her.
But yes, three of them repeated over and over “I don’t talk to racist pigs.”

Yeah, kind of like the Edinboro, PA, assault on the Swartout family:

The ANSWER communists are thugs, it’s their MO. eff em! 😈
Excellent reporting as always Jonn. (And impressed at your speed without getting out of breath) keep up the great work and document these fools for the world to see just how stupid they are.
Jonn wrote: Thanks, Robin. I had to shut off comments on the YouTube video because of the serious haters. I know when the haters show up, I’m doing something right.

Chris, are you a lawyer? I didn’t think so.
Some info about RICO:
Under RICO, a person who is a member of an enterprise that has committed any two of 35 crimes–27 federal crimes and 8 state crimes–within a 10-year period can be charged with racketeering. Those found guilty of racketeering can be fined up to $25,000 and/or sentenced to 20 years in prison per racketeering count. In addition, the racketeer must forfeit all ill-gotten gains and interest in any business gained through a pattern of “racketeering activity.” RICO also permits a private individual harmed by the actions of such an enterprise to file a civil suit; if successful, the individual can collect treble damages.

I wish they would find another printer for those signs. That yellow and black is getting old. And you’d think they could come up with a better message after 8 years.
“Free Palestine” “Impeach Bush” “War Crimes” “Halliburton”, “oil blood”.
One sign you will never see at one of their rallies:

Chris, are you a lawyer? I didn’t think so.
It would seem I am more of one than you are, given that yo believed you were contradicting me while confirming what I wrote.
Even if this weren’t the case, what was your point? That you in any way hold valid the suggestion being made here? If so, then just say this. Pretending to disagree with me while not being able to state that you do looks quite lame.
