Monday morning feel good stories
Robert Russo, a gunsmith in Harris County, Texas, was found shot to death on his patio. The police followed the blood trail from the scene to the chest wound of Michael Brown, which had been inflicted by the now-deceased Mr. Russo. Apparently, Brown tried to rob the victim and it didn’t go as planned – he was still wearing a ski-mask when police found him. Brown is now facing murder charges, when he recovers from his wound.
In San Juan, Puerto Rico, 2 men broke into Waldemar Lopez’ home and tied up the 64-year-old woman and her 90-year-old mother that they found there. Waldemar was able to arm himself with his licensed and registered gun and shot the two criminals. 20-year-old Jonathan Roman Padilla was DRT (dead right there) and his partner is in the hospital in critical condition.
A woman in Portland, Oregon, returned home with her two kids in tow to discover an intruder in one of the children’s bedrooms. She drew down on the 59-year-old and he was DRT (dead right there).
34-year-old Danny Berry of Campbellsville, Kentucky found himself at the business end of a homeowner’s gun when he and his partner kicked in the front door of the house. His partner escaped, but Berry was forced to wait for a ride to the local hoosegow by the homeowner as well as an off-duty Campbellsville police officer.

2 bad guys dead, 2 bad guys wounded, and 1 in jail. Sadly, 1 of the bastards killed a person who was attempting to protect himself.
Just shows. Yes, we rightly cheer when a property owner defends self, family, and property at the expense of the perp.
But the odds are that even the Good Guys get hurt on a rare occassion. And to me, the rarer, the better.
RIP, Mr Russo, RIP.
The lady in Portland should have just caled the cops, or used pepper spray, or shot him in the foot. Was it worth a life?…
