Tuesday morning feel good stories
In Morgan County, Georgia a 71-year-old convenience store owner came out of the store’s bathroom to find one of her employees being taken to the safe by a tough talking, but unarmed thief. 5’1″ Janet Willis grabbed her own gun and told the thief ‘I’ll blow your guts all over this store.’ and led him from the business at gunpoint. he hopped in a stolen vehicle with a flat tire and drove it until the sparks from the rim caught the car on fire which was like a signal for the police to come and arrest him.
A car thief was shot by the owner of the vehicle at a St Louis, Missouri gas station. No word on the condition of the thief, but he was in possession of narcotics when police found him.
From Chicago, Illinois, comes the news of the first police-related shooting of the New Year and it was a rapper by the name of Fif Money (Charles Smith) who was apparently robbing the childhood home of Bulls basketballer, Derrick Rose. Police answered a home invasion call and Fif/Charles met them at the curb and greeted the police with gunfire. He was DRT.
In Las Vegas, Nevada an off-duty cop joined an on-duty motorcycle cop in pursuing Gilberto Gutierrez. When Gutierrez unassed his stolen vehicle, he tried to carjack the off-duty cop who shot Gutierrez three times. I guess Gutierrez will recover because he’s facing quite a few felony charges and will return to prison where he’s been six times in the last thirteen years.

And they say that Gun Owners don’t save lives. They not only “save lives”, but they also keep one’s goods secure.
Aahh, another happy start to the day, even though only one fourth of them was a “D” story. MAYBE it’s that guns don’t cause crime, goblins that don’t obey the law do!

I’m glad to see some of the bad guys getting dirt naps thanks to a girl’s ability to defend the turf.

Chicago got the New Year off to a good start, 51 homicides in January and 242 non-fatal shootings. Good thing they have tough gun control laws there.
I want to be as tough as Janet Willis when I’m 71yo.
