Hunter: Mabus “a greater threat to the Marine Corps than ISIS”
I guess former Marine and now-Congressman Duncan Hunter has had enough of Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and his blind headlong plunge into social justice warrior mode calling Mabus “a greater threat to the Marine Corps than ISIS”. Mabus has been altering the culture of the Marine Corps which has been winning our country’s wars for hundreds of years just so Mabus can have a SJW legacy to point to on his Wikipedia page. According to Politico;
Particularly, he’s taking exception to memo Mabus sent to the Marines Corps this week, instructing it integrate Marine boot camp, which has been separate for men and women, and change job titles so they’re gender neutral.
“These are long lasting,” Hunter told POLITICO. “These changes that they’re making are not thought out, they’re not researched, they’ve not been debated. The American public has no idea what’s going on … It’s going to get people killed.”
A spokesman for Mabus declined to comment on Hunter’s remarks.
You might remember that the Marine Corps was the only service to try out segregated units and Mabus, the surface warfare officer whose only experience in the service was on a ship that spent most of his time aboard in the Boston shipyard going through repairs, dismissed the Marine Corps’ report on the experiment out-of-hand and presented no real reason to dispute their efforts other than the fact that it didn’t fit his view of the controversy.
In Hunter’s opinion piece on Fox News, Hunter warns against changing the time-tested combat-oriented standards;
What cannot happen — as many are rightly concerned will — is that the services will be forced to lower various specialty standards, in order to remain “gender neutral.” That is something the services must resist at all cost—as Congress should too.
It’s imperative that each job maintains the highest standards and continue developing the highest quality personnel, regardless of gender, quotas or any other benchmark.

The White House evidently picks and chooses who it listens to when it comes it comes to the military.

{T]he Marine Corps and the special operations community…are among our fiercest fighters and it’s foolish not to take their concerns seriously.
Well, obviously, Congressman Hunter isn’t taking into account that he’s talking to a bean counter with virtually no experience in being a leader of folks in uniform. Like Ashton Carter, Chuck Hagel and Leon Panetta, Mabus was hired because he’s a good little minion social justice warrior.

No argument from me. This whole thing is just stooopid personified. No thought to the consequences, no nod to real-world results, no nothing but feeding his frelling ego.
Now you know what real vampires are.
Mabus is just another of the “bathhouse boyz” right down there with Rahm….mabus would kiss obamas ass at the drop of a hat, where do you think all this shyt comes from?
I hope something stops this. I spoke to my son, and the last thing he wants to be called is Corpsperson by a wounded Rifleperson in the midst of a firefight
Farooking Peace Corps on prozac.
This is what’s going to happen.

I remember my own kill hat, DI Sgt. Vargas, going on angry rants about how pussified boot camp had become since he went through it years ago. “The goddamned mothers of America cry more about someone being mean to their precious baby than they do about their sons being unprepared for a war where they will die!”
That was in 2001. I shudder to think what he would say now. What a joke. Instead of making the females meet the male standards, they’ll just lower the standards for everyone until the Corps is as fearsome as your average mall security force.
Disgusting, just disgusting. What an insult to the memory of the great Marines who came before us.
This is complete and utter bullshift. As I commented elsewhere, in the late 1990’s, during the Clinton presidency, some male Army drill sergeants were charged (and some convicted) of having sexual relations (some were consensual, others not) with female recruits. A Pentagon-appointed panel, led by former Sen. Nancy Kassebaum investigated and one of the recommendations was that the Army, Air Force and Navy should follow the Marines’ model and segregate basic training. The final report with that recommendation came out in Dec 1997. The Army rejected the recommendation.
Fast forward to 2014: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/alleged-sex-assaults-by-drill-sergeant-the-latest-in-a-long-line-during-military-training/2014/05/30/32a142ec-e767-11e3-afc6-a1dd9407abcf_story.html
I went through in 1994 and there was one more cycle for our battalion of segregated troops after us, then it would be full integration of Basic.
I visited my old BCT company once in 2000. I lost count of the amount of Trainees walking everywhere in 2x buddy teams one pair of females, one pair of males. Catch was, they were walking around “outside” the company area and all parts around it as if no big deal. As if I couldn’t tell they were walking off to go hook up with each other somewhere.
Talk about distraction. If they kept it segragated for BCT, they’d probably produce better troops. They wouldn’t have that distraction of the opposite sex in their brains. If for only 9 weeks, that should be the effort.
I see this as another rush to “Do something!” by an administration that only has a year left to get all their “PC” and “Social Justice!” efforts completed before they leave.
Rep. Hunter speaks the absolute truth.
Rep. Hunter holds his mud good.
Quick, someone find the Circus that is missing all its clowns and the villages missing idiots, pretty sure they can all be found in DC trying to butt-fuck our military.
Sad shit for sure.
Secretary Mabel is a can’t hack it panty waist. Shitbag.
Fuck Mabus. Destroyer of institutions is not a legacy, it’s a shame.
The Marines have no money so they don’t do gear and social experimentation.
Only proven technology and techniques.
They experiment, but not on grand scale for a half baked idea.
BT is a time to learn “THE BASICS”, not social skills. After a good grounding you can leverage that to grow the person. The Marines is the only basic you don’t have to repeat for branch transfers. Guess they are doing something right…
The only time we even knew females were on the island was for the Post wide MC Birthday celebration. Every unit in basic was on the grinder. We had just pulled up and were put at parade rest waiting when a plt of WM’s parked next to us. DI’s yelled eyes forward. We were all turning our heads when the recruits sounded off in unison with “Yes Mam!”. It sounded so foreign.
After ROTC roped me in while strolling thru college I was stationed at FLW and sent to an OSUT unit. All male EN training BN. No big deal. Later while waiting for EOAC I was an XO of a BT company. All male still. No big deal. Just before moving over to start school we were briefed that FLW would go coed for BT. Caused quite an uproar until someone found old cycle books showing mixed plts from way back. Interesting that it had been tried and then discarded…
There are enough training distractors without adding sexy time.
Leave that for AIT when everyone has at least figured out how the military works on a very rudimentary level.
H1, Out.
I am surprised a handful of USMC GOs do not hang it up.
I would.
Time to move on in life. Get away from this loser.
Mabus is a puppet. Somebody has their hand up his ass moving his mouth. I wish we could shine a light on the vile, corrupt diversity puke that is driving these changes to the Navy and Marine Corps. Of course. If you could shine a light on these people they would scurry away like the cockroaches they are. These decisions will get people killed. Next up, our daughters registering for selective service. Fuck you very much you pinko shitbirds.
Re: our current government
That is not my circus. Those are not my monkees.
Congressmen Hunter is the only one who wrote me a letter about a case I’m working on AND he’s from California…

I think Mabus should find himself a nice, quiet job washing dishes at a dive on the lower East Side of NYC. Something near the disembarking port for the Staten Island ferry would do.
