Monday morning feel good story
This morning’s story comes from Oklahoma;
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says 34-year-old Nathan Daniel Morales was fatally shot at a residence in Devol shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators say Morales was breaking into a residence in the far southern Oklahoma town when the homeowner was awakened and told Morales to leave. Morales continued attempting to gain entry when he was shot by a person inside the home. Morales died at the scene.
The OSBI says no one has been arrested in the case.
Yeah, if you’re told to leave and you don’t belong there, you should probably leave.

Twenty to one this Morales fellow was illegal…er…”undocumented”
Well, he’s documented now. “DOA”
At least he eventually left…
Yeah. . Feet first.
Another in a looong line of “Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes.”
Come On Down!! You Are A WEINER!
B Woodman…Again, spot on. Oh course I would be profiling to assume his ethnicity, but I will anyway. The difference between this homeowner and me is, I will not give warning words. My assumptions have always been, a criminal knows full well, they don’t belong in my home. Therefore the onus for life or death is on them when they “break and enter”. They then take their life and put it in my hands. Doesn’t sadden me at all and doesn’t give me much pause for reflection. I’m old and I WILL NOT run or retreat and I WILL NOT allow my wife or anyone else in my home at the time, to be harmed as long as I am breathing to stop it. I understand some people are reticent to pull the trigger and I understand their individual desire to show restraint. However, had the intruder been armed and fired a shot, the homeowner could be wounded or dead and his warning words only served to give the criminal a heads up as to where he was in the house. (Never make an unnecessary noise that give’s away your position. NEVER.)
Sparks, your words should be required reading by every male, hell female too, of voting age.
Spot on.

Off to the great Barrio in the sky !!!
Happy endings for a Monday morning coffee time !!!
Aaaaaahhhhhhh !!!!
I SO appreciate the reminder not to make a sound to give my position away. I take regular classes to keep my skills fresh–but was recently advised to yell “get on the ground NOW.” I see THAT bit of advice could lead to unnecessary suffering. Since I parted philosophy with my lib, gun-hating family (except me and one brother), and since some classes are better than others, I try to absorb comments like yours. Grateful to y’all… and Glock and Rock River!
