CNN stuck on stupid
Pinto Nag sends us this video from CNN. It’s about this Twain Thomas fellow, in Pocatello, Idaho, who breaks down, his neighbor James Cvengros’, (cardboard) door and approaches him with a machete. The neighbor guns him down in self-defense and Twain confesses on the video of the whole incident that the neighbor did the right thing.
Twain survived his wounds and he was sentenced the other day for aggravated assault and attempted second degree murder. However, his lawyer and CNN committed a greater crime against veterans who suffer from PTS – they claim that Thomas caught the PTSD while stationed in Germany during Desert Storm. Don’t believe me?
They should lock up his lawyer for that lie and close the doors at CNN for even repeating it. First of all, it’s not likely that PTS would cause him to go nuts on his neighbor – real experts, not CNN reporters or lawyers, agree on that point. Secondly, how in the shit would he catch the PTSD in Germany during Desert Storm? Too many wine fests? Too many volksmarches? Too many empty bars because half of US troops stationed in Germany was actually deployed to the war? GTFOOH, CNN.
OK … I just caught the PDTS from reading this story and I am now going to beat my monkey till it throws up!
poor, poor bruised, sick monkey….oh, wait..THAT monkey….
“I’m gonna beat it like it owes me money”
/one of my favorite euphemisms….and I predict that this thread will shortly go to hell.
“CNN stuck on stupid”
So, what else is new?
If he ‘caught the ptsd’, it was from being rejected by sensible frauleins who thought he was a putz.
And when has the cockeyed news network ever reported anything worth listening to? When? (Correct answer: never)
They say what they think their audience wants. They are the reason I gave up using TV for news. I got tired of turning the sound down so that I could mock them.
Strange, I had a similar reaction. With the sound turned up they kept interrupting me while I was yelling at them.
The beer…the statuesque, VERY friendly blonds…the Wienerschnitzel…the Alps…the beer halls…the ski slopes…
The horror! THE HORROR!
The beer.. the statuesque, VERY friendly blonds… the beer… the Wienerschnitzel… the beer… the VERY friendly statuesque blonds… the alps… the beer.. the beer halls…the beer
fixed.
In all honesty, during my brief 20 year experience with Germany, I did not see that many statuesque blonds – but in only a few too-brief visits to Czech saw far more there. The Sudetenland musta took most of ’em.
That casts the nazis in a whole new light! I’d be willing to invade my neighbors too if there was such a valuable and untapped (by me >:) ) resource next door!
Okay, you already called BULLSHIT, but I’m going to chime in- I was in Germany, 41st FA, during Desert Storm, and I’m doing just fine, thank you very much!Got slapped by a girl in a bar once… These ass hats that cry wolf with PTS are really pissing me off! My Infantry son did a tour in Iraq with the Marines in 2009 or 2010, actually saw and did shit- guess what? HE’S FINE!!! Shit, maybe it’s just the easy thing to fall back on when you do something really stupid, but anybody who actually looks for help with an issue will be looked upon as a nutjob because of these morons!
Dumbasses…
Plenty of perfectly-legit PTS cases came from Germany. He was just 45 years too late to have been one of them. Obviously it was an easy mistake for the Communist News Network to make, right?
And CNN wonders why FOXNews crushes them in ratings and viewership…
That lawyer may be a shyster but what he’s doing has become a frequently-used legal tactic in recent years. The cover story on the current VFW magazine deals with the use of PTSD as a mitigating factor in criminal court cases. And guess what? It’s working so well that we can expect to see a lot more losers and their lawyers playing the crazy G.I. card as a means of getting lighter sentences if not complete dismissals. That also means we can expect a rising tide of Stolen Valor as the losers blame non-existent combat stress for their bad behaviors.
And of course, the dipshit media is going to eat it up.
I feel sorry for Cvengros. You hear him use his neighbor’s first name when he talks (yells) at him about why he broke down the door. Cvengros obviously knew Thomas, if only casually. I can’t imagine one of my neighbors flipping out and having to shoot him/her. That’s just awful.
Actually, Cvengros would be the one who could have a legitimate claim of PTS, depending.
I was in DS/DS and still have issues with tents and sand. And I’m not all that enamored with ambient temps over 110 degrees Fahrenheit.
Hmmm. That sounds like a normal, sane reaction to unpleasant conditions.
This clown can kindly go somewhere for some quiet introspection. And take CNN with him. Bless their hearts.
Hey – what’s not to like about a free sauna available 24/7? (smile)
What got me was the cold and rain. Never expected that in a desert. Despite a couple of sand storms I was also surprised at how rocky the damn place was. Really chewed up the tires.
The only thing I am shocked by is that PN watched CNN!
I’ll admit it…I go slumming occasionally. My bad. 😉
Why is that dude’s door made of pizza boxes?
ByrdMan…He couldn’t find an old refrigerator box?
Most apartment buildings have the cheapest fixturing you can buy, including doors that are nothing more than plywood sheets glued onto framing.
Oh f@ckin’ please! The PTS from a stint in Germany? Hell I knew it was a rough tour there but…those October Fests must be a real bitch!
Leave it to the Crescent News Network and their liberal, brains on the floor mentality to give credence to his attorney’s bullshit.
Those “bodacious blond bimbos with their bouncing boobehs and beersteins” did it to him…
HMCS(FMF) ret…You had me at “bouncing boobehs and beer”.
That’s nothing, I have PTSD from the damn SNOWSHOES I wore in Alaska as a grunt !!!
That really sucked…
I have it just from reading Twist’s weather reports.
I got the PTSD in Japan because the exchange rate tanked to under 85 yen per dollar, and a beer in Roppongi went for about 800-900 yen back in the day.
But then we hit PI, Hong Kong, and Thailand, and I got better.
He should have used more caliber and then we wouldn’t have to listen to some lawyer run the PTS bullshit.
So, “I haz da Pee Tee Ess Dee” is the new Twinkie defense?
Lay off his lawyer and CNN. I just watched Heartbreak Ridge and I caught PTSD
