Monday morning feel good story

Police line

Chief Tango sends us our feel good story this Monday morning. This time it’s from Alabama where 83-year-old Walter Jones answered a knock at his backdoor and found a youngster in a gray hoodie at the door.

Police say a man knocked at the door, and said he needed help.

The 83-year-old man who lives at the home, Walter Johnson, answered the door and then went to call 911.

Police say then the man began kicking in the door and managed to get inside.

Huntsville Police say Johnson got a handgun and fired at the man once, hitting him in the chest.

Police say the man jumped out of a window and took off.

Huntsville Police got to the home shortly after that, but officers say they couldn’t find the man.

Us old folks can’t fight, so we shoot.

Way to go Walter. Very good but can I suggest a larger caliber for the next one. Just a suggestion.

Devtun

What caliber was Walt using?

Ex-PH2

But Walter is all right, yes?

MAJMike

At a minimum, I’d suggest a 9mm FJH. I favor .45 HJH launched by my friends Mr. Heckler and Mr. Koch. An alternative would be 12 gauge “buck and ball”.

Glad Walter’s okay. We old guys are cranky and don’t run well.

Sparks

MAJMike you got that right Sir! A chest wound still at large says .22 to me.

Good for Walter. I agree with Jonn. I am too old to run and too old to put up with the crap I endured when I was younger. Shooting, albeit it serious business, has become my number one go to option.

Pinto Nag

If he took a .22 to the chest and ran off, odds are they find him dead in an alley or at home.

Jason

The bad guy is in the hospital and will be charged when he is released. Just before this guy got an extra hole in his chest, he broke into another home and was chased off by the homeowner.

LTC Bateman would rather Mr. Johnson not defend himself. regards, Alemaster
