Friday morning feel good story

| February 21, 2014

Chief Tango sends us our feel good story for this morning this time from West Palm Beach, Florida where a homeowner came home from work for lunch. Someone who didn’t have a job was rifling through his guns;

He says when the teen pointed a weapon at him they began wrestling. Police say the homeowner then said he managed to get a gun and shoot the intruder several times.

The suspect was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead, according to West Palm Beach police.

Police say the juvenile had a prior criminal history and was thought to be on probation.

If the video doesn’t work, you can see it at the link above;

Ad there’s this guy in Tennessee who doesn’t need anymore range time, because he can hit small targets in the dark;

Officers charged David R. Miles Jr, 30, of Dyersburg, with aggravated burglary after he was found by officers with a single gunshot wound to his groin on Hull Street. Police said Miles was shot by a resident of the apartment complex while he was allegedly breaking in through their window.

“I think it’s bad that something like that could happen you know people breaking into people’s houses and getting shot,” neighbor Diane Thomas said. “People got to protect themselves, it’s just a bad situation.”

Neighbors said Miles, who was a familiar face in the neighborhood, never caused any trouble in the past. Officers said their investigation revealed that Miles had pending domestic assault charges on his record. Investigators said he had a previous relationship with one of the occupants that was living in the apartment complex. At this time, a motive for the alleged burglary is unknown.

“He was nice, quiet, didn’t bother nobody,” neighbor Robert Holloway said. “I was surprised when I heard that. But if you’re breaking a window, that’s what you get.”

Yeah, I doubled over with sympathy pains while reading it, too.

“He was nice, quiet, didn’t bother nobody”. Yea, well I bet he wasn’t quiet at the hospital. Nice shootin’ thar’ in Tennessee. I think if you’re going to fire a non lethal type warning shot (which I am not a proponent of)…the nads are ALWAYS the way to go. It will leave a life ling reminder about “turning one’s life around”.

Ex-PH2

Hit the nads, if possible.

Do like that Air Force chick did.

I will remember it.

Hondo

Wonder if this guy is now a rare living Darwin Award candidate . . . .

I would say bulls-eye, but that would cause too many uncomfortable chuckles and “safety checks” to be safe for work.
