Rethink Afghansatan speaking for the dead.
It seems that Rethink Afghanistan is now going to use the name of each casualty as a bullet point for leaving Afghanistan.
What do we say to their families? This war’s not making us safer, it’s not worth the cost, and Osama bin Laden is gone. How many more troop deaths and civilian killings will we tolerate before Washington acts to end this war?
President Obama and his advisers have promised repeatedly that significant troop reductions would begin in July 2011. With that time fast approaching, it’s time for the administration to declare the start of a swift withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan so this list doesn’t continue to grow to no good end. We need our loved ones and our tax dollars (more than $2 billion/week!) home.
Except that I would like to know how do you know what each person’s view on Afghanistan was. I know that I would be upset if I was a casualty and my name ended up there because even if I knew that I would not made it back that it is something worth doing. It is the same reason that I will never use the names of the fallen as a support for us to stay there. The fallen should be remembered for their sacrifice and service. Not for how you can use their deaths for your views. More so when you id them by name.

I’m a little offended by this. Personally I wanted my guy’s death’s to be WORTH something! Still I think its important to point out that I want VICTORY not a pull out with our tail between our legs and ANOTHER Saigoneesque pull out that will cause our national interests pain for almost 10 years.
Doc, that is how these commie shitbags operate.
