Minneapolis police will not assist ICE immigration enforcement
On the heels of a massive Somali related scandal in Minnesota, President Donald Trump announced plans to remove the protected status of many Somali immigrants. Trump appears to be making good on this plan, with ICE expected to conduct operations in Minnesota’s Twin Cities area. Immigration officials will focus on Somalis with deportation orders and who meet similar criteria to other foreigners who have been rounded up for deportation. However, Jacob Frey, mayor for Minneapolis, declared that Minneapolis police will not assist ICE when the latter does come in.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey pushed back against Trump’s depiction of Somalis, saying it “violates the moral fabric of what we stand by in this country as Americans.”
“They have started businesses and created jobs. They have added to the cultural fabric of what Minneapolis is,” Frey said Tuesday.
The mayor vowed that the city’s police officers, many of whom are Somali, will not work with any federal agents doing immigration enforcement, saying “it’s not their job.”
“Targeting Somali people means that due process will be violated, mistakes will be made, and let’s be clear, it means that American citizens will be detained for no other reason than the fact that they look like they are Somali,” he said. “That is not now and will never be a legitimate reason.”
Hundreds of people are expected to be targeted in the operation, the person said. As with previous immigration operations, so-called incidental arrests are possible, meaning people who aren’t targeted but lack legal status could also be detained, the person said.
The person spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations that have not been publicly disclosed. The operation was first reported by The New York Times.

When did we allow foreigners, or non citizens for those who might be offended, to be elected to our governments, whether local, state or national.

Just a couple of years ago we had to convict one of manslaughter when he shot a woman he “thought was attacking his squad car”, who was actually the original complainant who had called the police and had approached the car to speak to the officers. Somali DEI hire.
I’m willing to bet that all those Minnesota Somali police officers are members of one clan. It’s how they operate.
The city and mayor had made a big deal about that cop, how he was the first Somali cop on the force. The woman he murdered was originally Australian and came out to the cop car in her bathrobe (it was the middle of the night) and apparently his tender sensibilities were offended. I guess if she’d been holding a puppy he would’ve emptied his full magazine into her. Just missed shooting his partner who was in the driver’s seat.

But I will let a Somali cop eat lead, get his/her ass beaten into the street, get run over by a felon, get fucked up the ass by a teen high school football jock, or set on fire by a crack hoe.

I have a cousin who I used to be close to who lives in the Twin City area with his family. When the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler happened, I opted to let everyone in my family that I kept in contact with know what had happened. It was shocking and I felt like what happened should be an outrage for everyone. My Cousin stated he wished Mr. Trump died rather than survived. I haven’t talked to him since.
Me may be related! I have a couple of cousins in the Chicago area that act the same way.
He sounds like a TDS sufferer. The only sure fix is a lobotomy.
I have a cousin who lives in Portland that I love dearly, who’s family are long time libs. Almost every time I talk to him I gotta lay down the ‘no politics’ ground rule. It’s stupid that it’s come to that, but I guess it’s nessesary if u want to keep a family relationship going.
Well, my situation was just trying to keep those I was close to informed. No politics involved. What happened in Butler was country changing at the time. I still believed most of us reviled violence. Now? Well, I no longer condone evil. Hence why I no longer speak to my cousin.
While you are at it, haul down that Somali flag flying over state buildings and toss it on the bonfire.

Ok. So you’re not going to assist. But at least don’t get in t he way and interfere. Take ya down HARD. And since there will be cameras everywhere……………..

It looks to me like the echelons in charge of Minnemogadishu as well as that State have been taking kickbacks, now they and their mafiosi are exhibiting signs of panic, like from someone who knows they’re caught and are going down!
First, ICE is not targeting Somalis, it is targeting illegal aliens that just happen to be Somalis, a people who have largely exhibited contempt for this country and our laws. Exhibit A is Ilhan Omar and her ilk. She should have been convicted of immigration fraud long ago and deported. ICE will not be holding any Somali who is a legal resident alien, nor any who have become citizens. Anyone who claims otherwise is a liar and propagandist.
Or a Democrat, which amounts to the same thing.

My reading of the Minnesota operation is that it is very specific in seeking criminals, mainly the violent ones, and those who are unlawfully residing within the U.S.
Typical socialist liberal response is to deflect from the truth with some malarkey about racism.
I’d like to see that mayor get some hubris delivered to the community he has defiled merely by living there.
It would be helpful if some of the Somalis who have taken the correct actions and are assimilating into American life might take some action of their own part and speak out against the mayor and the malicious migrant criminals that Minneapolis & St. Paul are harboring
If the politicians refuse to assist ICE in their ops, the easiest way to let them you noticed, is to cut off the Twin Cities federal funding. I’m sure they’d notice when there wasn’t anymore money to steal.
They need to be doing that all over the country. Of course, rogue judges will get involved, but still, gotta start somewhere sometime!
