Nashville Woman Fatally Shot After Breaking Into Husband’s Girlfriend’s Home

A 42-year-old woman in Nashville was shot and killed after forcing her way into her husband’s girlfriend’s home during a heated domestic dispute. Police are investigating the case as a possible self-defense shooting, and no charges have been filed at this time.
NASHVILLE, TN (3-minute read) — Metro Nashville police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place during a tense domestic dispute involving a suspected love triangle. Authorities say 42-year-old Keiona Wilson died after being shot inside a home on Scalf Drive on Saturday.
Police reports indicate Wilson went to the residence searching for her husband, who was in a relationship with another woman living there. Upon finding his car parked behind the home, Wilson reportedly used a key to move it to the front of the property before approaching the front door.
According to investigators, Wilson and the other woman exchanged heated words through the home’s surveillance speaker system. When Wilson tried to enter, the woman inside fired a shot through the storm door, though it did not hit her.
The situation quickly escalated when Wilson forced her way into the home, leading to a physical altercation between the two women. During the struggle, the resident fired another shot, striking Wilson in the abdomen. Despite her injuries, Wilson managed to leave the house, get into her husband’s car, and drive a short distance before flagging down an officer outside the Madison Precinct.

That’s one way to resolve a love triangle. Not the best way, but one way.
Wouldn’t a divorce have been less deadly? (At least to the now deceased now ex-wife)
And more punishing to the one who truly deserves it, the philandering husband.
Was it the temper that caused the husband to wander? Or was it the wandering husband that caused the temper?
In either case, not my circus, not my monkeys.
I read a few posts over at the Black Femicide page and the women there are blaming the husband and hopes he gets charged with…. Something.
I remember a story told me lo these many decades ago of a black singer whose wife found out he was sleeping around.
At home he slept unclothed. On his back.
She cooked a pot of grits and poured the pot on him where it would put a “pause” on his philandering.
I always thought that was a pretty good way of making her point.
I’ve always liked my Buck 119 save for one thing. That Phenolic handle gets super slick when you hand gets wet.
I resolved that by taking a triangle-file and putting some cross-hatching on it. When I’m out in the field I have much better control of it now.
