Suspect charged in shooting of Soulard bar owner
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A suspect has been charged after a Soulard bar owner was shot Wednesday.
The shooting took place at 9th and Geyer, outside of Molly’s. A day after the shooting, Anthony Chance Caudillo, 28, was charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, third-degree assault, felony stealing, unlawful use of a weapon and second-degree property damage.
Charging documents state that the shooting happened after an iPhone X was reportedly stolen off a table. Bar employees then reportedly kicked the two people believed to be responsible for the theft out of the bar.
After being kicked out of the bar, Molly’s owner went outside and asked the duo to return the phone, at which time a fight broke out. During the fight, the owner attempted to hold one of the suspects, and the other suspect, identified by police as Caudillo, punched the owner in the face. Security then was able to control Caudillo.
According to police, after being let go by security, Caudillo went to his car and grabbed a gun. He then reportedly showed the gun to several people on the street, who ran. Caudillo allegedly fired the gun several times at the owner of the bar, hitting him in the leg. The owner’s Land Rover was also damaged by gunfire.
Police said Caudillo was subdued by others nearby and was also bitten by a dog.

Police investigating double-shooting in Avondale
CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Two women were hospitalized after a shooting occurred in Avondale early Friday morning.
Cincinnati police say a woman was in her vehicle in the 3500 block of Reading Road when two other women came up to her with rocks and began attacking her.
An officer at the scene said the female driver acted in self defense and shot the two women.
