Police are investigating after an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead in Washington County on Saturday.According to police, troopers responded to a Washington County mall for a report of a theft from Rural King. Police gathered information on the suspect’s car that fled the scene. A trooper saw the car in Mount Pleasant Township and conducted a traffic stop at Westland Road at Main Street.
Police said the driver was taken into custody during the traffic stop but the passenger, identified as 26-year-old Dennis Fonoimoana by the Washington County Coroner’s Office, refused to exit the car. Fonoimoana brandished a firearm during a verbal fight with the Trooper, also refusing to drop the gun when told to.

“during a verbal fight with the Trooper”
Harsh words?
“What we have here, is a failure to communicate!”
Sounds like he was all methed up.
“Ruger Precision Rifle” is redundant.
I loves me my Mini-14, especially now that it’s all black and scary looking.
It happily eats everything, slings brass a country mile and I can hit a minute-of-torso with regularity. “Precise” isn’t exactly the descriptor I’d use, however.
“Precise enough” works.
Off topic, but strategypage.com had a reminder on their “This Day in Military History” page that the USS Squalus sank on this day in 1939 with 26 fatalities. Thirty-three survivors were rescued the next day from 240 feet of water via diving bell. I love this rifle.
By classic wood/blued steel standards fugly as hell. But by functionality defines beauty criteria, they are marvelous. Barbie dolls for grownups.
Two (2) less dirtbags stealing oxygen (among other things) and a scary black rifle gun pr0n. AW1Ed loves us and wants us to be happy.
