District attorney: Dec. 11 shooting that killed man in Jacksonville home justified under self-defense law
by: Jason O. Boyd
JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — District Attorney Ernie Lee said a shooting in Jacksonville that happened on Dec. 11, which killed a man, was justified under the self-defense law in North Carolina.Officers with the Jacksonville Police Department responded to a shooting at 101 Summercreek Dr. on Dec. 11 at around 8:48 p.m. When they arrived, Trevor Swade Nunn, 26, of 401 Chestnut Rd. in Jacksonville had been shot and killed inside the home. Multiple people at the home were interviewed separately and, after several meetings between Lee’s office and members of the Jacksonville Police Department, it was determined the shooting was justified.
Lee said Nunn was a disabled veterans and “occasional overnight guest at the residence.” Lee also said in a press release that an argument broke out earlier on Dec. 11 between Nunn and others at the home. The homeowner later asked Nunn to leave.

Man accidentally shoots self in knee while protecting himself during gunfight, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A man is in the hospital after what appears to be an accidental shooting.
Police were called around midnight Friday to a home on Whitman Road near Interstate 35 on the Southwest Side.
Police said two men were arguing at another location when the victim said the other man opened fire on him. He said when he tried to pull out his own gun to protect himself, he accidentally shot himself in the knee.
The victim hopped in his car and drove to his home to call for help. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

BZ for trying. Better to keep fingers off of triggers until sights are on target.

Damn! to shoot oneself in the knee requires speshul work and movements. It won’t do much for his street creds though.
That good looking, young thing, has her faux leather fitting very well. And she has better trigger discipline that the dope that shot himself in the knee.
I know a person who was out shooting somewhere he wasn’t supposed to be, and upon hearing an approaching car tucked his .22 target pistol in his waistband.
Yup. Shot his own junk.
During the July 1971 NYC Municipal credit union holdup in the Municipal building, the Brink’s Messenger was shot below the groin losing part of his wazoo and hair piece (nickname was the rug) and the driver took a load of shotgun pellets in his thigh as soon as the elevator doors opened up. Perp was a NYC Cop who worked for Brink’s part time and taught at the PD Academy. He was shot in the ass while running away by the driver and was found at the hospital in Brooklyn. The guy who shot himself in the knee really didn’t kneed that.
Will health insurance pay off a claim for treatment of an accidental self inflicted wound?
“drove to his home to call for help”
Which knee did he shoot…brake or gas?
And was it an automatic (see what I did there?) or manual?
“My home, my rules, and yes I will pop a cap in yo azz…can I get a Witness?”
Shoot the one shooting at you, not your own self. Who else saw the linky posted in the comments about the Ms Thang making a pr0n picture and shot herself in her Lady Parts?
Speaking of Witness…and Ms Thangs…yep I’d like to be a Witness to that Ms Thang’s enhanced blouse bunny flotation devices. Wonder who painted them britches on her?
After leaving Afhanodtan do we now now how to spell “quagmire” ?
I don’t always get tactical but when I do it’s in rubber shorts so I can stand in a stream with a Load Bearing Vest that doesn’t accommodate magazines for the weapon I’m carrying.
I’m starting to think some of these pics of chesticles holdin’ pewpews might be a little gratuitous.
and your point is?
Since you asked, none. None at all.
-Dog, you should know by now to be very, very careful what you ask for around here.
Nice looking Chick in the pic. I wonder if she would go out on a date with me to the soda parlor.
