Father stops attempted abduction of 13-year-old daughter
By Marla Carter
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A father stopped the attempted abduction of his 13-year-old daughter, but he didn’t just stop the kidnapping. He made sure the suspect was caught.“It was Labor Day, Monday, and I was out here grilling, barbecuing,” said Anthony.
Anthony was spending the holiday with his family. His 13-year-old daughter was outside nearby when a stranger pulled up in a car right next to them.
“My daughter and her friend were out here playing. A guy pulled up and started looking at them and harassing them a little bit,” said Anthony.
His daughter immediately went and told her father about the stranger.
“I told them to come around here and stand by me,” said Anthony.
The next thing he knew, the suspect got out of his car. Police later identified him as Lionel Williams.
“The next thing I know, out of the blue, he pulls up and opens his door and proceeds to come over to my daughter who is standing right behind me over here and decides to go at and grab her arm. Tried to attempt to pull her. I’m like ‘Hey, what are you doing?'” said Anthony.

Speaking of the Mosin Nagant…
Have not heard from Farmgirl in a while.
Hope she is ok.
Last I saw on here (how many months ago?) from her, she was a mommy (one? two? children) and was very busy raising children, crops, and livestock.
No time off for good behavior.
MNFG – you still out there? Give us a sign. Knock once for yes. Knock twice for no.
Three! An almost 5 year old and a set of 3 year old twins. And around 50 sheep, 60 or 70 chickens, an unspecified number of ducks and geese (I haven’t tried to get a solid headcount in a while), plus four cats and a husband. And a winery. And this year was the first year I was able to put in a garden. (The squash are trying to take over the world.)
I’m okay/alive! Just very tired and probably a bit overcommitted. Thank y’all for thinking of me and send in the deep-clean crack team of assault housekeepers, please.
Nice…Tnx for the Sitrep.
Thx for the update. Best of luck in the “herding of the cats”.
What state do you live in? (besides state of confusion)
If any of our stalwart TAHers live close by…..
Washington state (not DC). In the southwest rather than the bluer enclaves.
We do an annual slaughter event where we feed folks if they come help with the slaughter (and can take mutton and lamb home for their troubles), but that won’t be for a few months yet. Still fattening ’em up!
Last I remember reading (how many months ago?) MNFG was raising children (two? at the time), crops, and livestock. Very busy.
If you’re still out there MNFG, give us a sign.
Awww, C’mon Marla Carter, tell us how the father made sure the bad guy was caught. Why the suspense?
Follow the linkie for “the rest of the story”.
Reads like daddy and daughter did all the right things to stop this inebriated perv, without becoming violent and combative. Kudos to them! And to building a closer daddy-daughter bond and trust.
Yes the father and others did the right thing but maybe they should waited and flagged down the next police car that passed by.
I had an M44 once. Once.
I fired it once. Once.
Seems like Lionel Williams met up with Lion El Daddy. Don’t.mess.with.Daddy’s.girls! I’d of went ahead and killed the son of a bitch.
Dirtbag didn’t have the constitution to go the extra mile? He needs a lash applied. And the homeowner needs a little more range time. I’d of killed that son of a bitch too.
Nice pic of the Mosin. Thought maybe we’d see a pic of the Farm Girl that it belongs to. Sis and BiL are sheep ranchers in NE. Keeping up with them woolies is a full time job in itself. No wonder Farm Girl is so tired. Wore me out just reading about it. And to think, she does all of that “…in addition to your other duties.”
Good to here from her. Now I need a nap.
