President Trump drops expletive in ultimatum post directed at Iran
President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to give Iran an ultimatum. During the post, Trump said, “Open the Fuckin’ Strait” along with a message that the power plant and bridge were up for targeting. Trump indicated that the consequences for failure to opening the straight would be a “living hell.” He closed his post with, “Praise be to Allah.”

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday made new, expletive-laden threats to escalate strikes on Iran and its infrastructure if it doesn’t open the Strait of Hormuz by his deadline, after American forces rescued an aviator whose Iran-downed plane fell behind enemy lines.
A defiant Iran showed no sign of backing down, striking infrastructure targets in neighboring Gulf Arab countries and challenging the U.S. account of the rescue.
In a social media post, Trump promised strikes on Iran’s power plants and bridges and said the country would be “living in Hell” if the strait, a crucial waterway for global trade, isn’t opened to marine traffic by Tuesday. He ended with “Praise be to Allah.”
Trump has issued such deadlines before but extended them when mediators have claimed progress toward ending the war, which has killed thousands, shaken global markets, cut off key shipping routes and spiked fuel prices in just over five weeks.
Both sides have threatened and hit civilian targets like oil fields and desalination plants critical for drinking water, bringing warnings of possible war crimes.
“Iranian civilians will be the first to suffer from the destruction of power plants and bridges,” Amnesty International head Agnes Callamard said on social media, calling Trump’s threat “revolting.”

I have to say, I did find his post a bit… unhinged.
This is also the man who said America doesn’t use the Strait, so our allies should take the burden of dealing with it upon themselves. No fewer than 20 American vessels pass through it on weekly scheduled service, including TSP/MSP vessels which directly support troops in Kuwait and Bahrain.
This keeps getting weirder and weirder.
He also called them bastards. Which is a major insult “pedar sag” or “dog father”. This is a direct insult to character, parentage, and legitimacy. Now they have no choice but to double down and keep the straights closed.
If someone humiliates you in that way and you do what they tell you to do then this is an indication that you are agreeing with what they say.
That may be the intent. President Trump understands all too well how attacking people’s egos is counterproductive when you want them to do things for you, or in your favor. It’s Europe and China that get hit the hardest with this area proving to be dangerous and “closed.”
President Trump could also be using PSYOP, making them believe that he wants to level Kharg Island. If the Iranians completely evacuate that Island in anticipation of a bombing, the US could move in and take that island over. This would put Iran in a weaker position when it comes to either negotiation or their ability to continue to finance their fight.
President Trump is more than likely seeing what most people aren’t seeing, and he’s aiming for objectives that haven’t seen much comment or argument in traditional or social media.
Could be.
His visibility is far greater than mine and he is reported to read over 100 pages a day in intelligence reports and news media articles. Whatever his goal are the messaging is falling flat with Americans and isn’t likely to get Europe involved in the war for a while or Iran to reopen the straights, which are his stated goals from time to time.
Using that line of logic, we should’ve capitulated to the British given the fact that most of the colonials either didn’t care for independence or wanted to remain as British Colonies… The messaging for independence had fallen flat among most colonials, with struggles with keeping people interested in continuing the fight being real.
President Donald Trump has deliberately been unpredictable. He says one thing, then does another, this is something that one expects from a person who spent decades engaged in negotiations and getting the best deal.
Europe’s not getting involved with the conflict is a given, they have a history this century of not wanting to get involved. Trump knows this and is setting up a trap, intending to use their inactions against them for another plan down the road.
Heck, I remember when Ronald Reagan had to keep cattle prodding the Europeans during the Cold War to do what was needed to stand up to the USSR.
Sometimes plain speech trumps politeness.
