Pajaro family subdues intruder who entered children’s bedroom
A Pajaro family restrained a man who broke into their home and entered a bedroom where two young girls were sleeping, leading to his arrest by Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies.
PAJARO, Calif. —
A Pajaro family took action Saturday morning when a man broke into their home and entered a bedroom where two young girls were sleeping, prompting the family to subdue the intruder until Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies arrived.“You do have a right to self-defense in your own home, especially when you feel that your life or maybe a family member’s life is at danger,” said Scott Davis, commander at Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect, 31-year-old Aniketh Kumar, allegedly walked into the home through an unlocked door and exposed himself to the young girls.
The family heard the children’s screams and intervened, holding Kumar down until law enforcement arrived.
Kumar was injured during the scuffle and taken to the hospital.
“This case is being forwarded to the district attorney’s office for prosecution. We’re looking at a, at least a couple felonies at this time,” said Davis.
Potential charges include burglary and harassing a minor.

Let’s hope Mr. Kumar’s injuries are nothing trivial.

From the booking photo he wasn’t “held down” enough……say, with a cast iron fry pan (exPH2’s favorite) to the head and face.
On another site (IOTW, IIRC), there was a story of two teens closing up a carwash for the evening. Some dood high on meth came and threatened them with an ax. The older teen was martial arts trained, and took this dood DOWN. The booking photo is EPIC. THAT’S how it’s done.
Should have held him down permanently because California will only hold him in jail for 2-3 years before he can strike again
Sometimes when a suspect is found by the home owner, and is dealt a rather extraordinary explanation of why their life choice is very inconsistent with a generally positive contribution to society, it should be excused by the criminal justice system as a constructive method of correction for the miscreant.
Or to state it more clearly; an ass kicking is sometimes the best medication.
Not so much a good news story as a story with a touch of heroism. A known terrorist who was released four years early on his previous sentence for supporting ISIS and planning a mass shooting in December of 2024 attacked an ROTC class at Old Dominion University. Murdered was the Department Chair Army Professor of Military Science LTC Brandon Shah.
Two students, not yet named, took down the shooter and stabbed him to death, while also being wounded in the attack.
The shooter was a convicted terrorist and former Virginia National Guard Member and naturalized citizen from Sierra Leone. You might recall the Austin shooter was also from Sierra Leone. The reason for his early release is unknown.

Just about every “news” platform is going to huge lengths to avoid telling how the cadets overcame the Jihaditurd. “Subdued” “overcame” and of course just saying something like “the police did not shoot him”. Apparently it just dropped dead of stress and failure to get it’s covid vax.
Can’t have the wogs thinking “good thing a couple of students were armed, willing, able, and carved the sumbidge like a Thanksgiving turkey. ” Cant have any of -that-.
You don’t hate presstitutes enough.
The NYP was the source for the stabbing. The FBI is being tight lipped about it as well. In the AP Article the agent stated:
I guess she didn’t want to throw the gory details out there.

I definitely have to hand it to the cadets who reacted. Having your professor, a combat vet of decades of service, murdered right in front of you has to be traumatic at that age and probable life experience. Yet they jumped into action and saved the lives of every other student in that room.
Seems like a promotion should be in order for those two..
Having gone through ROTC myself (71-75), I don’t recall any awards for heroism in their unsworn cadet position. IMO they deserve at least a bronze star with a V device. I just don’t know how they could be awarded an active service medal though as a cadet.
And a Purple Heart.
There is now ROTC Medal for Heroism, last awarded in 2022. Several have been awarded for service during on campus shootings and other events. It is the highest cadet award, above that of the previous highest award which was the Superior Cadet Award.
And you know their future COs will be fighting for the honor of having those students in their units.
Downside is, they’re going to have so much more expected of them!
exposed himself to the young girls.
Exposed himself. To young girls.
The beatdown should have been epic, and included the ‘accidental’ spillage of tabasco sauce on the exposed parts of the perps anatomy, followed by repeated pounding of same.
Whatever the beat down was, it wasn’t enough IMO. He should look like he went face fist into a wood chipper.
Modern Tabasco Sauce is no longer up to the task, sorry to say. I grew up next to Avery Island in the 50s. On payday the employees received their pay envelopes and a bottle of Tabasco Sauce. Now, they only grow the pepper plants for seed production and the product is actually produced somewhere in South America. It’s a close imitation but the heat is not what it used to be.
Can’t remember anymore but it may have been mercurochrome that could really make you howl.
The Peppers originally came from and are still produced in Mexico. The sauce is named after it’s origin location in the State of Tabasco, The United States of Mexico. While it is Mexico it is far South enough to be in Central America.
They do have other locations for production but most of the domestic sauce in the US is still produced at the factory on Avery Island in Louisiana. In foreign markets they do not have access to the old oak barrels in which it is aged for three years before bottling. I believe this may be the difference and why it is a little weaker.
We always looked on mercurochrome as the less painful alternative to merthiolate. I’ve seen other folks who remember it the reverse. Nowadays, old style carb cleaner and brake cleaner sprays in open wounds really get my attention.
