2 dead in north St. Louis shooting; Self-defense alleged

ST. LOUIS – Two people were killed in a shooting incident Wednesday in north St. Louis, where police say the first alleged gunman was shot in self-defense.The shooting happened around noon in the 1000 block of Hamilton Avenue, located in St. Louis’ West End neighborhood.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) reports that a man in his 30s and another man in his 40s were both fatally shot.
Preliminary findings suggest that the two men were related and had a disagreement inside an apartment. That led to the man in his 40s allegedly shooting the man in his 30s.
An additional person who was inside the apartment then fired at the man in his 40s “in self-defense,” police say. The second shooter has been taken in for questioning, but no arrests have been made, and no information about their identity, as well as the victims’, has been released.
The man in his 40s then ran out of the apartment and collapsed in a nearby field. He was rushed to a hospital, but later died from his injuries, according to SLMPD.
It’s unclear what kind of disagreement may have led up to the shooting.

Nice town. If only the man in his 30s survived long enough to shoot the second gentleman the circle would have been complete.

Sounds like a drug deal gone south to me. If that is the case, then it is truly sad that the third individual didn’t shuffle off his mortal coil.
I’m thinking a family argument of some sort.
Did DOA-40s learn that DOA-30s was getting cozy with a girlfriend, cutting in on a drug deal, managed to siphon off some of the inheritance of dearly departed Auntie?
We may never know.
I do know I wouldn’t mind having that IWI Galil in my safe.
