Two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses were shot: Two dead
Vance Boelter, 57, is alleged to have impersonated a police officer. Boelter is reported to have worn police-like clothing and to have driven a police-like vehicle. Boelter is suspected to have shot a couple of Minnesota lawmakers in their homes. State Representative Mellissa Hortman and her husband were shot and killed. Senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot, but both survived and underwent surgery.

Boelter allegedly impersonated a police officer, shooting and killing State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, in their Brooklyn Park home around 3:35 a.m. Saturday.
“Our state lost a great leader, and I lost the dearest of friends,” Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said during a press conference Saturday. “She [Hortman] is irreplaceable and will be missed by so many.”
Law enforcement found the suspect’s police-like SUV at Hortman’s home when they arrived at the scene. The police and the suspect exchanged gunshots, and he was able to escape.
A man impersonating a police officer also shot Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, in their Chaplin home around 2 a.m. They survived, but underwent surgery for their injuries.
“We’re cautiously optimistic they will survive this assassination attempt,” Walz said.
Boelter was last seen on a Minneapolis business’ security camera footage wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, a dark-colored long-sleeved collared coat, and light pants.
He also wore a realistic-looking police badge.

If you are talking about his voter registration, then you are wrong. Minnesota does not have party affiliation in its voter registration rolls, according to what I read. Also, the two D-rat legislators had recently voted with the Republicans to bar illegals from receiving Medicaid, as federal law already requires.
And as such, they were apostates to the progressive religion, and subject to just such treatment from true believers..

Take the “registered Republican” bit with a grain of salt. MN doesn’t do party registrations. We don’t even have the option to. Primaries here are open. Perhaps he was listed as voting in a Republican primary, and that’s where they come up with that? I don’t know if vote roles for primaries are public info or not.

The articles make it sound like they were shot for being “pro choice” but Milissa Hortman is also described as voting in favor of the citizenship requirement for Minnesota’s Medicaid program.

I was born and raised in the Land of 10,000 Lakes…the Land of Sky Blue Waters…the place where, at one time, if there was a murder in Minneapolis it made headlines in the entire state.
It isn’t that place anymore. It has descended into a place where the left wing has taken root in the Twin Cities, and will not let go.
