HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for multiple suspects after a deadly home invasion at an apartment complex in southwest Houston on Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the scene around 9 p.m. at an apartment off Westridge Street.

Witnesses told police three men were trying to break into the apartment. One was wearing a mask and knocking on the front door, while the other two tried to force their way in through a window.

There were two people inside the home at the time who called police. Investigators said an 18-year-old suspect pointed a gun at one of the tenants before the tenant knocked the gun out of his hand. Police said the suspect pulled out another gun, but the tenant wrestled it away from him and shot him. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the other two suspects took off running.

No injuries were reported among the residents.

“We’re not sure if this was targeted or not,” said HPD Detective Henderson. “At this point, it appears to be an attempted burglary that turned into a home invasion once they realized that the person was inside.”

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office said the case will be reviewed by a grand jury.

Officer shoots woman in the head in hostage situation outside Manchester Center

Story by Stephen Hawkins
The Fresno Police Department is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place outside of the Manchester Center near Blackstone Avenue.

The suspect has been taken to Community Regional Medical Center but their condition is not known at this time.

Fresno Police Chief Casto said a FAX bus driver reported a woman with a large knife at the FAX terminal near Manchester Center.

Officers arrived and located the woman, ordering her to drop the knife, but she held it to the back of a woman’s neck, so an officer fired one shot, hitting the woman in the head area.

The woman was disarmed and taken to the hospital. Her condition is not known.

Chief Casto said the Hispanic woman in her 40s appeared to be in some sort of distress and may have been suicidal.

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal

Oops. Wrong house in Houston.

I’ve heard “two is one and one is none”, but I don’t think it did the perp any good in this case. He still ended up dead.
Maybe he should’a stayed home.

A very good example of “applying a warning shot”. Kill a perp (with the perp’s weapon heh heh) and his companions are adequately warned. Amazing how quickly they remembered pressing business elsewhere.

You know that Ms Thang had to be a nutjob to take a knife to a gunfight…even a large knife is still…just a knife. Wonder if the LEO’s headshot performed a lobotomy on her?

You don’t hate them enough, you know that…right?
