Battaglia was indeed in the Navy, he spent two-and-a-half years as a signalman. He was discharged as an E-1. Not a SEAL;

Based on what I have observed over the past 40 years, most “counselors” and other workers at drug/alcohol rehab facilities are former addicts themselves. Bet a dollar to a doughnut ol’ Vince here was as alcoholic or an addict at some point. Also, by leaving the service as an E-1 after two and a half years of service, he is clearly a dick stepper. But he was near the “Silver Strand” for a few weeks. So, that almost makes him a SEAL.

Imagine my surprise when going thru the uniform issue line and they passed out the “Good Humor” suits. I exclaimed: ” WHERE ARE THE FUCK’N CRACKER JACKS?” Less than a week in the Navy and I already knew how to cuse like a sailor!
Mason, So the going on the beach liberty custom made Gabardine Dress Blue’s along with the double rolled neckerchief were out of vogue for awhile. Yea, I wore Gabardines with the side zipper and a double rolled neckerchief but never used a cheater as the square knot. Also wore Seafarer dungarees and had a pair of Wellington boots. Guys that were in a year or two before me were issued the “Donald” Duck Hats which were used up by the time I went to boot Camp in Oct. of 1963.
I was in from 1959-1963 and we were issued donald duck hats (still have mine) but we never wore them!~
I remember when that came down from the five sided idiot box. Almost all Navy NCO’s were about as thrilled with it as the Army Rangers were when Shitsheki took away their black berets and gave them to the whole Army.

Vincent Battaglia is a phony Navy SEAL who never was a SEAL in any capacity. He did 2 years, 3 months, and 5 days in the Navy, leaving as an E1.
Poor judgement, doing what he wants to do at the expense of what he’s supposed to do, having a need for control, etc., is a common theme that one sees reading his posts, looking at his records above, his claims of being a SEAL etc.
He tells people that there’s no shame in not being a SEAL, and he implies that he has a negative outlook on those who aren’t what they represent themselves to be.
Jealus of his not living up to his last name, to what I think it means? I wouldn’t be surprised if his poor judgement contributed to his only achieving E1, and not being at least an E2 for that time frame, and for the string of poor “career attempts” that list his resume.
In order to make up for that, Vincent Battaglia creates a phony persona. All that mumbo jumbo about SEAL this, SEAL that, hero this, hero that, all these mentions of valor?
He’s attempting to convince himself of his lies, just as he’s attempting to convince others of his lies. The later gets him the admiration attention that he craves.
This hints at the possibility that he was a “never was”, as opposed to “has been”.

Coincidence that both of them are the same age? Mugshot picture was taken 12-13 years ago. Looks as if the Vincent posted on TAH may have graduated from High School (if he did) around 1975/1976.
The Vincent in the old NJ Mugshot was born in 1957-those born in that year most likely graduated frim High School in 1975.
Both Vincents sport mullets and mustache as well as same eye color. And yes, both of them are from that area of NJ.
The old NJ mugshot just looks as if this was the younger, heavier version of the gaunt TAH phony.

That’s him. The photo above, and mugshot, may have some differences. But, the photo above looks like it has been touched up. I’m noticing similar areas where the head hairs “recede”, and “beard” growth strength and weak areas. On the right of his nose above, our left, one of the mole features visible in the mug shot is barely visible.
I verified this by checking his Facebook photos. Sure enough, I found one where the “moles” match up.

I compared the photos, too; it looked like the same face, only with about 40-45 lbs. heavier weight. Age is correct for his 1976 enlistment at about 19.

Only ops that old “BALLSACK” use to engage in were SQUEAKHOLE ops… at Brucie’s Bath House (Entrance in the Rear) as a Junior Apprentice Towel Boy.
On one of the screen shot chat sessions of his, he wrote: “this Navy Seal and a few Rangers were coming back from a mission and by accident a Ranger pulled his pin by accident [sic], grenade hit the ground and a Seal by the name of peter Smith jumped on it and saved 40+ lives of his com rads…. First off, the photo of all the SEAL Tridents and the Special Forces flash is from a photo taken at a funeral of one of the Team 6 members who died in Afghanistan. The only story that comes close to a SEAL sacrificing himself on a hand grenade is Petty Officer Michael Monsoor, not “Peter Smith”.
Fuck this guy for fabricating a story about a Ranger… and for using a photo taken at a funeral; minimizing the loss of those who perished with Team 6 and for diminishing what PO Monsoor did in Ramadi, along with all his other bullshit.
That is not an SF “flash” in the middle of the coffin lid. It is the Special Forces patch with Ranger and Special Forces qualification tabs. Rangers don’t pull pins on grenades “by accident.” Many of my troops in the Viet of the Nam were draftee infantrymen. We all carried live grenades in the field; we put OD 100 mph tape (pre-curser to duct tape) over the pin rings. It was SOP in every unit I was in. Never heard of a grenade accident like this in over 15 months. Although, it did happen to that Georgia Congress critter (D), Max Cleland; but it was a Vietnamese that accidentally pulled the pin on the grenade that got him. And Vince is definitely a lying POSer who never even threw a practice grenade.

A no shit story: in ’65 when the 82nd invaded the Dominican Republic for what ever reason (most of us could not find DOMREP on a map) the Div CP was in a hanger at the airfield. All of a sudden there was a shit storm that started at one end of the hanger and went to the other. Everyone hitting the floor and lock and loading.
Turns out a trooper wearing LBE with grenades attached approached the checkpoint and one of his grenades came off his LBE and hit the concrete. Someone called “GRENADE” and the shit storm commenced.
