The folks at Military Phonies send us their work on this fellow Matthew DeWayne Edler. He claims to have been wounded during Desert Storm by an Iraqi IED, I think, while he was a medic after doing time as a Signal soldier;

Edler claims 2

Edler claims

The Army misremembers his career. The National Personnel Records Center says that he once did three months of service at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 1979.

Edler FOIA

I guess that’s why the VA keeps losing his records.

I sat on this for a day through Veterans’ Day, but that was long enough for him to shut down his LinkedIn and Facebook profiles, but I just hate to expose a phony on a day we’re supposed to honor veterans.

Finally! A Signal poser!

26Limabeans

Yes! Yes! Somebody finally thinks the crossed flags of the Signal Corps are super duper cool enough to be shit on by a poser.
I feel so violated. My valor (what there is of it) has finally been stolen. I knew if I hung around here long enough it would happen. Woo hoo.

Hack Stone

Those Comm Rats are a shady bunch. The frequency of their embellishments is shocking. I am at a loss for words. The worst are the maintenance guys. They have earned the title of communiskaters.

Sj

“The frequency of their embellishments…”

Nicely played.

26Limabeans

“communiskaters”. Indeed, one could get lost and fall asleep behind a genset. It happened….er happens.

Sj

If the generator on my RV hiccups I get the flashback PTSD and am out of the fart sack in nano seconds. Thank goodness I have a dog. But no doo rag. Yet.

26Limabeans

Signal has a lot of cool patches and bling with lightning bolts and stuff.
Gotta buy me a vest.

jonp

The Electric Pussies of the 50th Sig BN (ABN) was pretty cool. I was so good doing Com stuff I got plucked out of the Rec Room by guys in shades and next thing I knew I was HALO’ing into, well somewhere. It’s still classified.

26Limabeans

I’ll bet that’s where the fist grabbing a lightning bolt came from.

BobbyG

Was in 50th from 89-92. Great unit, was 36L, can’t believe I finally see a Signal poser! Us Signal guys have been ignored by posers for so long. I’m getting a vest!

42A Combat Clerk

Still no HR posers tho. One day it will happen I feel it in my bones.

Hack Stone

You do know that you can lock those comm vans from the inside, don’t you?

sj

I had a W2 one time that wouldn’t put me on the comm center no escort list even though I was the Ops Officer (need to know). He did this for a few weeks…until he sized me up as being an asshole or not. Once I was vetted I saw why: he was screwing off all the time but he did run a great center.

Frankie Cee "In the Clear"

A Warrant Officer screwing off? The hell you say. Had to be the only one in the services to be a “Screw Off”.

Sj

He never got near a PT formation either. He was a ghost.

But, he knew his shit and kept us clean even with probably 100 crypto devices and all the keys.

Green Thumb

And they usually have access to the beer….

jonp

Now that you mention it I never saw our CW in PT either. I never thought about that until now. Like yours ours knew everything there was to know about what we were doing and was pretty cool.

26Limabeans

Yeah but the Trane a/c units can be disabled from outside.
We had one setup that was a shelter cribbed up on barrels.
Had a secret cot underneath.

Ret_25X

This guy’s faker mojo is weak!

This guy is either just insufficiently motivated or completely brain dead.

Well, at least he isn’t claiming to be a SEAL sniper who hid inside a camel’s bunghole to get a shot off at Saddam.

What a total waste of oxygen.

Ret_25X

Just to remind everyone that this guy is a complete waste of oxygen…

Hondo

Hmm. For some reason, a TA-312; about 6 ft of WD-1; a chair; some duct tape; and some 550 cord just came to mind.

Wonder why?

Hack Stone

“Can you hold the end of this wire for me?”

I can’t tell you how many times I was able to pull that off.

Another good one was those tubes of silicone rubber sealant we had for waterproofing seals. I would open a tube, and then ask a Wire Dog Corporal to smell the tube and let me know if ut was still good. I got him at least three times.

Claw

I am shocked, yes shocked, by reading that comment.

Where’s my safe space and an ARCOM?

Andy11M

Fuuuuuk! When I was a new Pvt someone snuk up behind me with a TA-1 and but the posts against the back of my neck and squeezed that lever. Nothing more dangerous than a couple of bored Joes.

A Proud Infidel®™

I once used one to motivate a then-fellow Joe who told me “Fuck you, you’re taking my guard shift for me” one night in the field, it was worth the ass chewing I got the next day.

Ret_25X

That is funny right there! I used the 312 to shock my SL one night…watching him jump around in the back of the Bradley was worth the extra PT…LOL

2/17 Air Cav

Thanks for your make-believe service, Matt. I am sorry that you suffered a make-believe wound from a make-believe IED and that you incurred a make-believe hospitalization. However, I am glad it was recognized by the issuance of a make-believe Purple Heart.

Asshole.

Jay

I wonder if he tells his make believe war stories to his make believe friends?

HMCS(FMF) ret

That’s what happens when you suffer from Fractured Taint Syndrome. which MATTHEW DeWAYNE ELDER has!

Enjoy your fame, Assclown!

Silentium Est Aureum

Less than 181 days. Can’t even call himself a vet, although I’m sure that didn’t stop him from bellying up to every slop chute freebie hr could get his hands on.

Fucking cocksucker.

Claw

82 days by my count.

Barely enough time to swap out those urine soaked sheets.

Eden

Hey, he beat John Giduck!

ex-OS2

Cocksucker.

Daisy Cutter

Sockcucker.

26Limabeans

Who knew the Army Combat Medic School was part of the Signal Corps? Cool.

jonp

What, your last 4 weeks at Ft Gordon weren’t Medic Classes like mine with Combat Scuba thrown in for those that wanted to learn?

26Limabeans

Nah, I was old school Ft Monmouth where the first two weeks are KP then there was something about wires and little colored things but the last 4 weeks were spent on the boardwalk at Long Branch.
That beach assault badge is rare.

NECCSEABEECPO

I don’t think that many IED’s went off in 1991, I was there never herd of any except the land minds that were cleared during the breach what a shit head.

I was in two IED blast and I hate it when people claim, ‘I was hit by IED” bull shit. I was not wounded just had my bell rung, and that sucked, but my Junior Airforce 1st LT was wounded and will live that way for the rest of is life. You my friend are a shitbag.

PTBH

Matthew Edler was confronted about his lies and presented his military records.

He said that his Facebook account was hacked.

He was then asked how the hackers could have gotten a photo of him in a signal corps ball cap.

He said that his phone was also hacked and they stole photos.

Hmmmm… well, this wasn’t discussed but it looks like they hacked his LinkedIn account as well.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthew-edler-2a42543a

PTBH

Those hackers also got to his Indeed Resume account as well, again jamming in his experience as an Army medic in an effort to frame him, the bastards:

nbcguy54ACTUAL

He’s fluent in Navajo. Musta been a Code-Talker during his commo days.. .

Hack Stone

He knows how to say “Hit me” in Navajo at the Indian casino.

jonp

Yah-eh-teh, Motherfuckers! ok, that’s all I’ve got.

26Limabeans

He’s also fluent in Bullshit.
That makes him just plain effluent.

Claw

Indeed Resume account has been wiped.

Hackers remorse?

PTBH

Military Phony was one step ahead of him.

26Limabeans

Says he is proficient in urinalysis. I’ll bet he is.

PTBH

In case you missed it Military Phony has screen captures, anticipating Edler would delete his accounts.

Sparks

Shitbag! The only thing he’s done in a hospital is wash balls.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Cocksucker is a two-hole inspector, first class!

UpNorth

Nah, he washed those balls behind the Blue Oyster Bar, every weekend.

Hack Stone

Maybe he provides double coverage along with Phildo.

A Proud Infidel®™

Booger-eating candyassed DILDOHEAD!

The Al

His LinkedIn account is still up, Jonn- and still list Army Combat Medic and Army Signal Corps

Green Thumb

All-Points Logistics’ new communication director.

Hack Stone

Not if Psaul signs him first.

Civilwarrior

Fucking guy. That was my original MOS, from 1981-1989, but looking at this dick bag’s all too limited time in uniform, it doesn’t even look like he made it to the schoolhouse. Everything was OSUT back then, so it doesn’t seem likely that he even graduated basic;they probably put him back in replacement to process his discharge while the rest of his cycle moved on to bigger and better things.

26Limabeans

The giant font on his hat is even bigger than the phony purple heart guy from a few weeks ago. And what the hell is that white thing?
Looks like a flaming bomb over wings. Either that or its jizz.

ex-OS2

It appears to be white crossed flags.

Either way I would like to rip that hat off of his head and bitch slap him with it.

26Limabeans

On second look it does appear to be flags. Signal does have a flaming torch in the center of crossed flags but I don’t recall seeing an all white depiction. The colors of the Signal Corps are orange and white.
I would turn the hat inside out and put it back on his head backwards.

Skippy

Another under 180 day washout just in time for Veterans Day,
amazing I didn’t see any obvious POS yesterday.
on Thursday I had to rescue a flag and a homeless senior citizen from a bunch of no-pipeline we hate trump cry-babies in downtown Tucson. With the help of about 5 we like trump hispanics and I’ve come the the conclusion that I may have found a life forum lower then this POS

Deplorable B Woodman

Signal Corps…..
“You can talk about us but you can’t talk without us.”

“Without us, all you have is a 10 ton rolling paperweight.” (This is to the tankers in the 2ACR)

John Robert Mallernee

I didn’t know the Signal Corps still had a 31M20 MOS.

That was the stuff I worked on and that equipment was obsolete years ago.

I was a Field Radio Relay and Carrier Equipment Repairman (MOS 31L20).

I hated working on that stuff because I was always getting shocked.

John Robert Mallernee

By the way, the Signal Corps doesn’t exist anymore.

It’s now the Signal Regiment.

NotaLeg

I always found Signal Corps soldiers to be quiet professionals. Some of the best soldiers I ever worked with.

cptsmith

I’m still waiting for a chem poser. Maybe one day…

25X_Ret

How about a special forces, ranger, recon, combat dental hygienist? After all, keeping soldiers off of Dental Cat 4 is the single most important mission in the Army…LOL..

ChiefO

As a Retired CWO-3, I must admit the Signal Warrant Officer Corps has always been unique breed and respected differently by all ranks. I remember once we had a division run at 5am and the post commander stated that all warrant officers step out of formation and continue with our business..everybody else run 5 miles with him.
