Joe Lucania; Devil Dog Arms phony Marine
This was going around social media yesterday. This Joe Lucania has been pretending to be a Marine sniper and he founded this Devil Dog Arms using this persona. You can hear him tell you that he was a Marine at about 1:00 in this video and claiming to be a Marine Corps sniper around 2:00 (I guess they yanked the video after I linked to it – just trust me);
Like I said, this message started circulating yesterday;
I don’t know what was the impetus for this admission that he had never served in the Marines, but there you go. It looks like he went as far as getting a USMC tattoo, if the comments can be believed at the Facebook link. His LinkedIn profile says that Devil Dog Arms is a veteran-owned business. The IRS and the VA might want to take a look at that.

As a vet and now a former employee of DDA, I’m extremely disappointed, hurt and insulted by the recent discovery of the big lie and its cascading damage to so many good people. Not only was it disgraceful and insulting to all of us who served in the US military, it hurt the hardworking, honest and dedicated people, I’ve had the pleasure of working with at DDA this past year. All of us employees of DDA lost our jobs and the ability to support our families this week (many of us also lost out on wages, earnings and unreimbursed expenses that where owed to us while the company was still up and running) as a direct result of the big lie which ultimately caused DDA to close its doors. My thoughts and well wishes go out to my fellow former employees and their families as we put DDA in our rear view mirrors and move forward in search of better opportunities. I also want to shout out to all of the loyal customers, vendors, supporters and partners who put their trust, energy and resources into DDA. It’s been a great pleasure to get to know and work with you. I personally want to thank you for all you’ve done.

Yep, the employees will also suffer for a while, but hopefully not long. Apparently he had some top grade gunsmiths who will ALWAYS either be able to go into private business (such as operating out of their home) or fairly easy find work in the field elsewhere. We have a friend who only began gunsmith work after he retired at 62, and now runs a good business from home office. Repeatedly he has told me he is always flooded with business from folks who bought weapons at gun shows.

Not to tell you how to run your business, but I do not have the utmost confidence in your military service. You write “marine” vice “Marine”, and you spell (Marine) Corps as “corp”. If you get confused, you can always use your DD-214 as a reference source.

I have my dd214 you are correct to assume someone was helping him and when all this started I wish I took Screen shot of both owners at the time one was supposed to be a Leo with 20 plus yrs, but from the grapevine he quit a yr or two ago. I also no the CNc company and out standing bills are owed. I knew when I talk to him before lawyers and the CORPS legal team got involved. Believe when you get a call from dc you don’t bullshit them. He got what he deserved whether he was a nice guy or not. Devil Dog is a name we all earned who served.

Merchants and manufacturers need to learn that nobody gives a flying fuck if you were in the Marines or not, as long as you sell and deliver a genuinely good and reliable working product that people desire and want.
