John Boston Hill III; Marine Corps Movers scam

| May 5, 2015

John Boston Hill III

WINK News tells the story of John Boston Hill III and his company called Marine Corps Movers in Tampa, FL. He’s trading on the good name of the Marine Corps, of course, and he’s never served in the Marine Corps. According to Bulldog at Guardian of Valor, he has served, but mostly as a guest of whichever State that took him into custody at a particular time. The Marine Corps, though, not so much;

The company has several names: Marine Corps Movers, Marine Movers and Florida Veteran Movers. The owner, John Boston Hill III, advertised his company as a locally-owned, veteran business.

[…]

[A] spokesperson for the Marine Corps told WINK News they do not have any record of service for Hill. WINK News gave Hill more than a month to provide proof of service; however, at the time this story was published he had not sent any records of service.

Bulldog says that he could find no record of military service, either.

Just another scumbag trading on the good will that veterans have restored to our profession over the last forty years.

How many of these cockroaches are there hiding in the woodwork?

We should get them all together in one spot for transport, so that they can have their very own campfire go-round, singalong, and then move to their very own planet.

Standard offer: if anyone can come up with the tool’s SSN and/or DOB and POB, I’ll file a second-source FOIA.

I’m guessing GOV is right and he never served, but sometimes a 2nd request finds something the 1st one missed.

Kier

Hondo-
I can tell you, he NEVER served. He would have had too many criminal convictions. Only people that served in his family is an Uncle and cousin. See my other links towards the bottom.
He’s originally from FINDLAY,OHIO
Graduated from FINDLAY HIGH SCHOOL
One can just google his full name: JOHN BOSTON HILL III

I wonder how many people they’ve conned so far?

Dave Hardin

I just had a movement, didnt need to hire any help. I couldn’t help but think of Robert Lawton when I wiped my ass though.

Green Thumb

I wonder if “Turd” Hill here participated in the All-Points Logistics Junior Developmental Program?

I am guessing he did.

Shitbag.

Green Thumb

After just watching the video at the top, I am sure he went through the APL program.

This is also very evident in his avoiding phone calls and questions seeking clarification.

This shitbag is a truly “Phildoesque” dude.

All-Points Logistics Chief of Transportation?

Climb to Glory

He’s a lock. Making money off phony military claims. That’s right out of the Commander Phil Monkress play book. This dickbag is definitely All Points Logistics material.

Hummmmm. multiple business names?

Checking the Florida Sec. of State’s office online corporations search tool http://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/CorporationSearch/ByName

Marine Movers-dissolved, had not commenced business.

Florida Veteran Movers-No listing.

Another case Stolen Valor for profit? Not sure if FL has a Stolen Valor law. This demonstrates another flaw of the gutted Federal SVA…not everybody who commits Stolen Valor wears awards they didn’t earn.

Hope they convict him under regular fraud laws and business statutes. I would wager that he doesn’t have an EIN and the IRS never heard of them either.

Looks like this loser is a four start connoisseur of the cock meat sandwich (slathered in manmayo), with a side of tossed salad added!

Green Thumb

I like the sprawling castle he lives in.

Instinct

Bonus here is that the Marine Corps does have a copyright on their name and logo so this fuckstick could be sued by them into the ground.

gitarcarver

Yes, but not really.

Federal law prohibits a copyright of any Federally produced name or logo. The copyright law does give similar protection to Federal names and logos, and agencies will tell you their logo is copyrighted, but it is not true that the actual name and logo are copyrighted.

Hondo

While the Federal logos, emblems, and other documents cannot technically be copyrighted for the reason you stated, some of them are specifically protected against unauthorized commercial/other use by provisions of Federal law outside of US copyright law. In particular, the USMC Emblem is so protected. See 10 USC 7881.

gitarcarver

I agree Hondo. While there is no copyright on the logo or the name, there are similar protections for the logo.

It is interesting to note that the cite you gave gives a cause of action prior to the actual use of the logo. As far as I am aware, that would not be allowed in any event as the actual violation would have to take place first.

Skippy

I’m going to guess the trend this week is people playing marines Holy Toledo… LMAO !!!!!!!

Friend S. Wilkins

Let me tell you. I was really offended by this John Boston Hill III. Pretending to be a United States Marine??? AND ripping people off with his phony furniture moving company??? It’s just like I said in my Facebook comment above. Any self respecting mover takes a LOT of pride in his workmanship. A LOT.

Looks like John Boston Hill III and his boys could use a little motivation. So I’d like to offer the boys some help. Here’s a video I just found. I like it. But I have to warn you, THIS VIDEO CONTAINS EXTREMELY HARSH LANGUAGE….

nbcguy54ACTUAL

This seems appropriate:

Splash. Out.

Kier

Why is it out of curiosity? it’s truth and fact based!

Kier

Opps..sorry nbcguy. I misread your statement. Forgive me 🙂

nbcguy54ACTUAL

No problem.

Kier

WHY..has no one filed criminal charges? I just contacted Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Cape Coral PD. No record of criminal activity.
