Burl Casey Taylor; phony Vietnam veteran

| April 13, 2015

Burl Casey Taylor

Scotty sends us his work on this fellow, Burl Casey Taylor who claims that he was a Recon Marine in Vietnam and that he’s been in every conflict since Vietnam. According to the guys at SOCNET, his claims have been all over the map, but the most egregious have been that he was drafted during the Vietnam War and that he retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant.

Burl Casey Taylor claims

Burl Casey Taylor claims (2)

According to Scotty, Burl, here, was born in 1960, so, depending on when you’re listening to his stories, he was eight or ten years old when he went to Vietnam, which is totally plausible :eyeroll:. He did spend some time in the military, but he was a Multi-channel Equipment Operator in the Army and in the Marine Corps from 1979 – 1996; 6 years in the Army, 11 years in the Marines and he never heard a shot fired in anger;

He has backed off from a number of his claims since SOCNET confronted him, but the bigger lies continue as recently as this last December.

Combat Historian

So this guy had some seventeen years of service in the Marines and Army as a commodude and he STILL had to make up bullshit about being a bi-service SpecOps ManilaJohnAudieMurphy ? This just makes me sad…and by the way, “Semeper Fi” to you too, Burl…

CC Senor

Yeah, how does any Marine screw up something that basic? And he can’t say it’s a typo ’cause he did it twice.

jedipsycho (Certified Space Shuttle Door Gunner)

$5 says the dude has some kind of mental illness. Oops, I mean PTSD.

ChipNASA

People like this make me want to really, REALLY stuff my boot dead up their ass. In this case it’s be a waste of time since he probably wouldn’t feel it.
/Oh sorry, was that wrong, should I not have said that? FUCK YOU LYING SACK OF SHIT.

Green Thumb

Is the wheelchair legit?

Just asking.

Top W Kone

According to his bio on “military connection ” he was paralyzed after surgery on his back (because of the 387 jumps he did in the Marines)

Cause you know how often the Marine Airborne Troops jump!

Casey Taylor

NO that isn’t what was said to the Doctor he went off of my medical records only

Bobo

But that is what you told a reporter.

A Proud Infidel®™

I can’t wait to see his next round of excuses!

Casey Taylor

Check my medical records before say one more thing about people in wheelchair paralyzed quads!

GDContractor

Nothing like incoherent bullshit damage control at 1:00 AM on a Friday morning. What a fucking idiot.

Bobo

“Check my medical records before say one more thing about people in wheelchair paralyzed quads!”

Yup, that is definitely a sentence written by someone with a JD and multiple engineering graduate degrees.

GDContractor

I wonder if he has the Google Voice mod that spells “SWEADEN”.

A Proud Infidel®™

Methinks he’s got a bargeload of butthurt!

ChipNASA

Burl….. more like “HURL”…. 🙄

Hondo

Interesting. Nothing says “low speed/high drag” like being discharged as an E5 with 17+ years of service.

And he even managed to get DFR in 1985, then receive an honorable discharge a bit over 2 mo later! Wonder if he had pix of his CO drinking with “Jurgen von der Bundeswehr” (or something along those lines).

ChipNASA

We had many a 20 year SSgt in the Af, both Active and Reserve.
REAL WINNERS /sarc

THAT is why they have High Year Tenure.

DFR and Honorable?? DFAQ?? I just read that. HTMF??
AWOL and an honorable? Jebus? KNEEPADS BOY!!

Mike Kozlowski

Chip,

I was one of those 20 year E5s. I did two remarkably stupid things – first, I volunteered for Recruiting duty, which pretty much ended my marriage and career. Second, when I got back into the real USAF, I concentrated on my college degree instead of a promotion. I can take pride in the fact that my record is about as spotless as one could ask for, and regardless of my rank I was a trusted member of the team right go the end. If I could do it again I’d work like hell to get E6 then finish up school, but that was the call I made and I have to live with it. NoThing and no one to blame but myself.

No heartburn or anger intended here, and I hops you won’t take it that way. Just that some of us can do a good job, have an honorable record and still make the wrong calls.

Mike

ChipNASA

Mike,
You were the exception. I totally get how that worked. i was on a track for Airman Commissioning mid way through my career and after a year or so, I got screwed out of a slot I was more than qualified for then the individual who got it. When the real officers got wind of the B.S. the IG was called and then they found out they were trying to have a promotion board for this L.T Logistics slot by having an essay contest between me and the other candidate. WTF ESSAY CONTEST?
After that all got put to rest, they decided to have an official Wing promotion board and they scheduled it when I was going to be TDY on my AT status. (*IMAGINE THAT*)
I said SCREW YOU after that and went on my enlisted path but I had missed a few stripes against my peers.
The 20 SSgts I knew were pretty much brain dead/anti social/unmarried middle aged guy that lived in the barracks?!?
Many chose to just not do their PME and didn’t WANT to be supervisors and just like being a working SSgt and had no ambition to be promoted because then they couldn’t go on the “good” TDYs.
You are obviously the exception.
😀

Dennis - not chevy

I worked with a number of those 20 year SSgt’s, (which is no longer allowed from what I hear). The usual excuse was their AFSC’s merged with others at the 7-level, so if they made TSgt they would no longer do the job they liked. Their plans usually were to wait until their last year to make TSgt, which did not have the two year service requirement and retire soon after getting promoted. Their other plans were to bad-mouth anyone younger than them who made TSgt (which was just about everyone)
For the 20 year SSgt’s who honestly tried and worked hard, I say, “Glad to have known you and I’m sure you’ll do well in the world”.
For the 20 SSgt’s who looked at their service as an opportunity for three hots and a flop, I say, “I’m glad I no longer have to deal with you”.

Just an Old Dog

Just a note,,, a SSgt in the Airforce is an E-5, in the Marines it’s an E-6.
High tenure for Sgt (E-5) in the Corps is usually 12 years. There is very little leeway for that, Some MOSs are a bit slower but they still have the twiced passed over rule.

Dave Hardin

He claims he is not Burl, oh my. I love to watch the dance these posers do. ‘Left step, right step, double to the rear, march’.

Biggest shame is; I believe he has a son that is serving in the Corps. Well, maybe that Marine can restore some family honor.

A Proud Infidel®™

You beat me to it, GT! I also wonder how much he really does need the wheelchair, could he be just like another critter who hobbled into court on crutches and had NO problem leaving the courtroom later sans crutches after seeing one of those he wronged face to face?

Casey Taylor

Just call the VA! and Ask…

2/17 Air Cav

Casey has a distinct Japanese accent in his writing. Or is it Chinese? Not sure.

A Proud Infidel®™

Getting good and butt-hurt, aren’t you? How about your claims of Military Service that were proven to be bogus as well as your college degrees?

You lose.

Guard Bum

That is a lot of service for not much gain. I have always wondered about the Army Soldier that gets out and decides to go Marine. I went Marine to Army and didn’t have to go to boot camp again etc but I’m pretty sure all of the other service branches have to go through Marine Boot Camp if they switch.

We had a former Army SSG in my boot camp PLT at MCRD San Diego in 1977 and the only thing extra he got was he had a couple of ribbons to wear while we had nothing (NDSM wasn’t auth back then)and he was a LCpl when we graduated.

Just an Old Dog

I have seen a few cases where prior service didnt have to attend USMC boot camp.
One I recall distinctly was a prior Army Sgt who joined the Marine Reserves. He came to our unit just to attend cannoneer school ( it was taught at regt). He was with us about a month. It was constant OJT teaching him uniform regs etc.

Guard Bum

I did 16 years active duty Marine Corps and never knew that could even happen, wow.

I do remember though that when I was on I&I duty we had a MAJ that had never been on active duty and he got his commission from some program they had back in the 70s where you could get commissioned into the reserves and never have to do your active duty stint.

He was a real piece of work. I don’t know if it’s the same but it used to be you would get commissioned as regular USMC only if you came out of the Academy all other commissionings (I think) you were USMCR and had to augment when you were a Captain to remain on active duty.

At that time, all Marine Officers in the Reserves had done at least 4 years active duty.

NormanS

About six weeks after separation from the U.S. Army, I received an invitation from the U.S. Marine Corps to enlist as an MP. My Army PMOS was 95B10, and I graduated MP AIT near the end of May, 1971. I was assigned to the 561st MP Co., Ft. Myer, VA (MDW), and separated at Spc4. The Marine letter said I would keep my E-4 pay, and not have to go through their Boot camp.

I ignored the offer; wasn’t certain I could be a good Marine.

GDContractor

I keep reminding myself that this turd is only trying to flatter the real Master Gunnery Sergeants out there…. but it ain’t working.

Another turd using a wheelchair as a stage prop after an operation gone horribly wrong. Full quad? The hands say “no”.

Another turd with an edumacation in “Electronics Engineering”. Um, fuck no.

MGySgtRet.

Consider me unflattered…..

Bobo

I’d love to see those diplomas. I’m guessing no.

Casey Taylor

I’m not using anything as a
Prop!

A Proud Infidel®™

So now the butthurt flows out of you like water from a firehose…

3E9

What a dipshit. Shame it took 17 years to get rid of his sorry ass.

Casey Taylor

Check MY DD-214 I Got out because being a single parent! Not because of anything else!

Marine_7002

To Casey Taylor: so, you asshole, how about explaining why you lied through your teeth about your service?

Please, do tell. I’m curious to hear how you are going to try to wiggle out of bullshitting people. Is your self-esteem really so very low that you felt you had to tell lies that were so ridiculous?

Hondo

Being a sole parent w/o a dependent care plan MIGHT explain why you were discharged – though personally I’m not convinced of that.

It does not explain why you are claiming Vietnam service when you were too young to have served there; why you claimed to have served in various other conflicts when you never did; why you claimed to be a retired Master Guns when you are in fact a discharged Sergeant; why you claimed to have graduate degrees that apparently don’t exist; and a host of other problems with your story.

In short: it looks like you are nothing more than a garden-variety BS artist.

There is a way to prove what you claim, though. Take your DD214, photocopy it, black-out your PII, scan a copy, and send it to Jonn. You might want to photocopy your degrees (or transcripts), redact any PII from them, and send scanned copies of those as well since your claimed educational credentials have been found suspect as well.

Be advised, though – he knows some folks who are true experts at “Marine-speak” and who can spot fake crap fairly easily on a DD214. And others here know how to contact your claimed educational institutions to verify your educational claims also.

Your call. Your records on-file in the official Federal repository say your military claims are BS; contacting those institutions of higher learning from which you claim advanced degrees yields the same result. Prove your claims are correct, or tuck your tail between your legs and shut up.

Bobo

Even better: Contact Jonn and get his mailing address. Fill out an SF-180 (you can get one here http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/standard-form-180.html) with Jonn’s name and address in Sec. III, block 2. We’ll see how it works out for you from there.

Do the same for your transcripts from the Community College of the Air Force, UMUC, and UTSI. Also, have a copy of your SF-50 sent to Jonn (for instructions, see http://www.archives.gov/st-louis/civilian-personnel/). I’d love to see the proof of that GS-15 time.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Got to love this one from SOCNET,

“Holy Crap!! I do know this guy!

We were at 9th Crime Bn at the same time, same platoon, same section. Didn’t click until I read his education page in post 29. This guy showed up at the company as a corporal and didn’t have a clue about the Corps. After some questioning, (like where’d you go to boot camp; iportant shit to LCpls…) we found out he has been in the Army and because of his rank in the Army, didn’t have to attend boot camp, instead he was sent to NCO school. He tried to tell us “it’s the same as boot camp” and got laughed out of the room.

Turd. Not surprising he’s pulling this.”

Farking assclown…

TankBoy

That makes me feel a little better. I’ve met a couple like this, officer and enlisted. Other than one (prior Ranger and reserve SF), to say they weren’t water walkers is an understatement. Eleven years in the Corps, finishing up a sergeant at G-6, and no personal awards? The stench of utter mediocrity and desperation are strong with this one. I bet his fitness reports are a study in the proper use of the velvet pen to show a turd the door. “Burl”, if you take offense to this, message me. I’ll be happy to call you a slimy piece of shit to your face.

Casey Taylor

No that had nothing to with my VA Claim Thank YOU! Check my DD-214 for personal Awards!

Bobo

You’re right, it just means that you are a lying POS who is claiming to have degrees and rank that you’ve never earned. You served honorably and had to crap all over it by calling yourself a master gunnery sergeant. You claim graduate degrees that UTSI have never offered. Go eat a bag of dicks, you asshat.

MustangCryppie

Wow! SC, I always thought that the Marine Corps didn’t give two shits what service you had been in or when or how many times or if you had been the biggest, baddest mofo this side of the Mississippi, you were going through USMC boot camp.

Sounds like they should have sent this guy through TWICE.

Hmmm. Learn something new every single day.

TankBoy

I’ve seen enlisted, usually SNCO and above, bypass boot camp, but usually not. I’ve also seen this with officers, most notably a former tank battalion commander (captain at time of inter-service transfer) that may rank as one of the worst ever in tanks. I have only seen one that was good, and he was phenomenal. We were hats together in San Diego. But as I said, he was prior Ranger and reserve S/F.

Casey Taylor

This here is a joke!

A Proud Infidel®™

NO Casey Taylor, you’re making yourself the laughing stock of this site right now with your flinging your butthurt all over this thread, others have done that here, and they got their lower posteriors handed right back to them!

sj

Bomholder GE? (aka Baumholder)
Bad Holz GE? (aka Bad Tolz?)

He was a GS14 and GS15? That’s kinda hard to do.

Casey Taylor

Check his DD-214

Not really if your qualified for job YOU can get promoted to GS-14 and above!

Bobo

Your entire LinedIn resume is a lie. UT has no record of you ever being a student. You were never a GS-14 or 15 in an organization headed by an O-6. You are not an electrical engineer. A spectrum manager isn’t an engineer. Your claim of having a JD from Baylor is a lie. There are FOIAs in for your time as a DAF civilian and your AS degree. Want to come clean now, our wait for the paperwork to him my mail box?

Honestly, if you made your professional and educational claims to me in my office after reading the writing sample you provided on LinkedIn, you’d be out on your ass and unemployed in about a day.

Oh, and God help you if you don’t have any certification and/or are using that wheelchair as a prop to gain some credibility with PTSD patients. Trust me, people are looking into that, too.

3/17 Air Cav

Just another fraudulent Vietnam vet. Trying to get with the “in crowd” now that it’s cool being one. Where were these guys when we were there? We sure could have used the man power back in the day!

Hondo

Well, since this guy was apparently born in 1960 . . . I’d say he was in elementary school while you were in ‘Nam, 3/17 Air Cav. (smile)

3/17 Air Cav

Hondo……..what you say is true! But as I recall, we were critically short in the “hooch maid/shoeshine boy” MOS! Smile

Hondo

You got a point . . . . (smile)

clamsgotlegs

Perhaps he thought he was following a Roman army?

Joe Williams

Guys, besides Force Recon. Burl Hurl added Scout/Sniper as another pony MOS. Joe

Joe Williams

Two things kept nudging at my mind. I went back and checked (1) on SOCNET his rank was gunny(2) on his DD-214 his Honorary Discharge is abbereviated and hand written in. The hand writing is very poor also. I would think a retyping would be ordered. Joe

sj

“I guess three hundred and eighty-seven jumps in the Marine Corps had taken its toll on my back,” Taylor told MilitaryConnection.com.

Hmmm…unless I missed it, I don’t see anywhere in his records that he went to jump school and/or is authorized wings. Maybe I missed it.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Spew alert…

sj – it’s that sooper sekrit MCI that he took that allowed him to complete all of those jumps. He just doesn’t want to tell the world that the jumps were into the Ho Chi Minh trail looking for the best bowl of Cream of Sum Yung Guy soup he could find.

In the process, he caught “a case of the PTSD” and was diagnosed with fractured taint syndrome (FTS), which he used to claim 127% disability from the VA.

sj

Maybe he hooked up with SlUrPmAnSHorTBuS RiDer on A rEcon?

Guard Bum

You know you just reminded me of something. I took the Recon Marine MCI course myself, I have the certificate and its on my page 8a….

So can I call myself a Recon Marine? It wasn’t too hard so I don’t know what all the fuss is about with those Recon guys!

Ughlee

You laugh but evidently we had a Commandant that too the TBS MCI Course so I guess stranger things have happened.

Guard Bum

Ahh yes, General Mayhem.

Casey Taylor

No that had nothing to with my VA Claim Thank YOU!

Casey Taylor

It has nothing to do with my medical records and the surgery that went wrong!

Hondo

Sounds to me like he’s counting “jumps” from the tailgate of his M35 or M880 when he didn’t want to take the time to climb down the ladder, sj. (smile)

Marine_7002

Maybe he tripped over the tailgates of those vehicles one too many times, and his inexperience at performing TLFs (tailgate landing falls) caused him to hit his head. That’s what caused him to “misremember” his service.

MustangCryppie

For my money, I’d say it was a barstool in the E club.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

I’m guessing got “jumped on” 387 times.
Just saying…

GDContractor

I just emailed COL. Ellen Haring at her @masonlive.gmu.edu email account. I politely asked her to defend and explain her premise to a real idiot like me who just doesn’t get it…. using Burl here as an example. If she answers my humble request for help, I will share.

Animal

On his FB page he claims to have the use of only two fingers on each hand due to being a quadriplegic. Four photos down from that entry he is holding an infant/toddler child in his lap using both arms to hold him.

More honorable service up in smoke.

Casey Taylor

Incomplete Qaud look it up mr medical Doctor I only have the use of two fingers on each hand! It doesn’t mean I can’t move my arms! Were did you get your degree from!

Bobo

The better question is where did you get your degree from. UT has no record of you ever being a student.

2/17 Air Cav

Well, given his extensive microwave training, I’m guessing he doesn’t burn popcorn. And he did take the Fort Meade Drivers’ Improvement Course. That’s a plus. And that’s all I got. It’s the new me. I am trying to be positive. On the other hand, being positive pretty much sucks. It hurts a lot and is contrary to my nature. So screw it.

Jordan Rott

What a douschbag. I would like to share with you the story of a Vietnam Vet who is my Uncle. I think he was there at the end, when most of the fighting was done. Anyway, he got drafted into the Marine Corps and hated it. So, he tried to fail his PT test so they would kick him out. I think it was a week or so towards the end and his drill instructors told him, “Good Job, day 1 restart.” So, he had to do it all over again. So the second time he said he just did it so he could get it over with. He was, to put it simply, no very fond of the Military (ecspecially the Marine Corps) and that is the story he tells about his time in the Marines. The point I was trying to make here is that I doubt any of these phonies would ever tell their honest story about their Service, because if they did they would realize it is probably more entertaining then the bullshit that they makeup.

3/17 Air Cav

Jordan…….your uncles story brings back a few memories to me. I too was drafted except the Army got me. I was not real excited at the time, about being in the military, would be putting it mildly! Anyway, I’m up at Fort Lewis doing basic. When I had a reaction to a plague shot. Went to Madigan hospital for three days. One more day and I would have been recycled. In effect, start over. No ffing way was I going to start over and put up with the bullshit that goes on in basic training.

Two things got me through. That time in my life. Pride and competiveness. Both of them have served me well throughout my life!

Just sayin

Jordan Rott

See that is an awesome story. What unit were you in at Ft Lewis? I believe 8th or 7th ID was there then (The Black Widow Patch)?

3/17 Air Cav

Jordan……….my basic training company was A-5-2 after that, I packed my bag and walked across the parade field to my AIT assignment. Being a 11B at Fort Lewis in Nov-Dec and part of Jan. Is no fun! But as they say, that’s another story

Jordan Rott

Ohh yeah I forgot Basic Training used to be there, I used to see those broke down bleacher benches on some of the ranges and imagine who was learning what when they sat there haha. The 7th ID signs (I think it is 7th) are still there on North Fort on the backroads pointing how to get to their HQ and stuff. Nov-Jan sounds like alot of rain and possibly snow and miserable cold haha.

nbcguy54ACTUAL

Jordan- my former father-in-law had a similar story. Drafted during WWII he said he did everything he could think of during Basic Training to get thrown out. Didn’t work and he eventually found himself as a cook during the fighting in Germany. One day an MP came rolling through his unit needing extra bodies to help escort POWs. He got “volunteered” and before he could be returned to his unit, the war ended and he ended up going stateside with the MP unit.
He finally got out of the Army – as an MP 29 years later.

Jordan Rott

That is also an awesome story

CLAW131

nbcguy, was your FIL’s last duty station at Ft. Campbell?

The reason I’m asking is that while I was on SD (Special Duty) to the RAMPS (Rear Area Military Police Station) as a Game Warden in early 1974,there was this old, really grizzly looking, Master Sergeant who was the NCOIC out there.

He was pretty close to retirement and had been there for years, so everybody, and I mean everybody who hunted Campbell knew him.

Anyway, long story short, and this is a no-shitter, one of my funniest moments in the Army, was the day the old MSG told the Post Commander and the two Senators from Kentucky and Tennessee that their kills for the day wouldn’t be released from the check-in station until he had personally verified their deer had no rope burns.

GDContractor

I wonder if this clown is licensed to counsel the PTSD.

Bill R.

Born in 59 here. Vietnam combat ended when I was a high school freshman 73/74. The big pullout ended when I was a sophomore 74/75. As far as promotions in the AF, there are some career fields in which it is incredibly difficult to get promoted on active duty. Guard and reserve have 20 year SSgts all the time. You get promoted when someone dies or retires. Full timers (civilians during the week) seem to get promoted more often than part timers simply because they are at the job more and are a known entity. At least that’s how it appears.

Bobo

He seems to have a lot of people calling him Master Gunnery Sergeant on his LinkedIn profile. Here’s an example:

“The Master Guns just never quits leading and taking care of his Marines and other Military Vets & Retirees. He’s there for them in transition and as they continue onward. A strong, no-nonsense but very caring leader of Marines. He’s one of those of us who has Been There-Done That and walks the walk, not just talking the talk. In that regard, he is a sound mentor folks listen to and prosper from! Casey is one of those top 5% performers we can always count on!”

Well, here’s what appears to be the “good Colonel’s” public LinkedIn page:

And here’s his “together we served” page:

Seems to have had quite a career. Sad to see him get hoodwinked by this tool.

Joe Williams

Correct if I am wrong. Third Force Recon did not deploy to Nam. The 3rd stayed on the East Coast? Joe

Hack Stone

Negative. 3rd Recon falls under 3 Marine Division (Okinawa). 1st Recon was 1st Marine Division Camp Pendleton. I believe that both 1st and 3rd did deploy to Vietnam. 2nd Recon was under 2nd Marine Division Camp Lejeune. They did not deploy to Vietnam. They spent the 1960’s deploying to the Dominican Republic and other fun spots in the Caribean and Mediteranian. A few weeks back we had a poser (can’t recall which one) that claimed he was in Vietnam with 2nd Recon. He must have been pretty lonely out there all by himself.

Hi TAH guys…I`ve known Col. Morris for quite some time, and have informed him via email. Quite sure I wasn`t the first to do so, as I see several brothers post here.

Griz

Col Wayne Morris USMC (Ret)

Thx to Griz and all commenting. YES, am NOW aware of this issue and working some backchannel efforts. Checking further to ensure we have right individual/etc. Want to always believe in our Fellow Warrior Brothers/give them benefit of the doubt/etc. That said, however, and as Griz and others know, I’m very BIG on bringing down WANNABEs/etc. I’m just an ol’ Mustang Mud Marine. NOT a hero but have sure served with some!!! As for 3rd Force Recon Co being in RVN…YES…I was the 4th Platoon Leader of that Company in I Corps AO. 3rd Force period in country was about ’65/’66 thru 1970. I was in the Company during the stand down and getting ready to deactivate/send back to CONUS/etc. You can check me out in command chronology reports on several of the sites that maintain same. Thanking all for their service! Semper Fi, Lobo

The instant I saw the picture of him I said “Nope, too young”

Born 1960, got drafted and sent to RVN in 1966? Don’t think so. Not even the new “Modern Math” could validate that crock of bologna.

Basic failure at math for everyone who ever believed he was a Vietnam veteran, especially for any reporter who put that down in print.

It looks like how it went down to me. I also saw your half assed “apology” note. Go screw, asshat.

I’m skeptical of his claim to being a GS15. In DC, there are a bunch of them but out in the field commands they are a lot harder to come by especially at Arnold in a maintenance position. I could be wrong.

sj

A check of Arnold AFB (AEDC) only shows an O6 commanding. There does not appear to be a GO on base (but could be wrong). Sure doubt that there would be a 15 in the maintenance shop. Deputy maybe. A 15 bud of mine in DC had to take a 13 when he moved out to a field command.

Bobo

I’m going to guess that 90% of that resume on LinkedIn is a steaming pile of crap.

Hack Stone

Point of parlimentary procedure. He claims that he went to 29 Palms to attend (Ground) Radio Technician Course. Ground Radio Technicians hold the MOS of 2861. It is a career advancement school/MOS. You cannot attend Radio Technician course without holding the MOS of 2841/Ground Radio REPAIRMAN. As a three time offender at Marine Corps Communications Electronics School (MCCES) and considerable experience as a 2841 and 2861, it is my professional medical judgment that this guy seems to blow a lot of smoke. If he did hold an MOS in the comm maintenance field, the Marine Corps would not send him to a comm operator course (2500 occupational field). When I was just a young Marine, we had quite a few senior (to me) Marines moving from other occupational fields to comm maintenance. That included Staff Sergeants starting their maint careers as 2841s.

sj

Somewhere it says he did tropo commo with the Marines. I’d be surprised that a tactical unit would use anything but VHF or microwave for multichannel comms. I was Army SigC.

Hack Stone

The Comm Battalions in the Marine Corps using anything and everything to talk. Somewhere in a wall locker of Area 13 on Camp Pendleton is wall locker with 300 yards of slash wire, a handful of BA-3030s, and two TA-312’s. Just in case.

sj

Amen Hack. WD1 Wire! Army SigC Bns didn’t have tropo. Would be surprised if Marines did. Tropo is super long haul. Long haul st our level was HF. Today it is Satcom.

Hondo

sj: Divisional Sig Bns didn’t have tropo. However, some Corps Area and Theater Bns did in the 1970s and 1980s.

sj

Agree. Had to go to 18th ABN Corps (50th Sig BN) for that stuff. In Dom Rep, it was HF only back to CONUS for a long time. In Dom Rep and VN, (82nd and 101st) it was all MRC 68 line of sight multi channel to the BN’s and higher. Tropo, in the 60’s/70’s, was a rarity…and I never encountered it. And, I seriously doubt that the lean Marines had it.

Hondo

sj: thanks for the update, amigo. Wasn’t sure if tactical tropo dated back to the 1960s or not. Knew it went back at least as far as the 70s.

Hack Stone

I attended a Joint Comm course down at Ft Gordon in the mid1990’s. The Army instructor always referred to slash wire as WD-40. It makes me wonder if he carried a Formula 409 millimeter pistol.

Green Thumb

That’s when you execute the “Body Bleach”.

TankBoy

Hack,

When you start talking about parliamentary procedure, it makes it obvious you have been spending too much time in Maryland, looking for elusive CEO’s. It’s a short quick fall from there to drunken incoherent profanity filled rants on different blogs.

Hack Stone

Nah, I stole that from Animal House when they convened the trial against the Deltas. In fact, in a thread regarding a software salesman located on Wilson Lane, I modified Otter’s rebuttal to reflect some contracting discrepancies that may have been undertaken by a company on Merritt Island.

I’m just here to pick up Fawn Liebowitz.

Sorry, gotta be done.

It’s confirmed that UTSI has never offered a degree program for MSMA or MSBE, and that the University of Tennessee has no record of him attending in any capacity. Honestly, I’m shocked that someone who has no concept of sentence structure or punctuation doesn’t hold in advanced degree in engineering.

Hack Stone

Is being shocked by lack of sentence structure and punctuation applicable to Vice Presidents of Bethesda based software companies?

Bobo

It is far easier to be the VP of a made up software company than hold two advanced engineering degrees. Getting the two advanced degrees is almost as hard as finding the president of a female owned Bethesda based certified small business software company.

Silentium Est Aureum

I’m surprised he could even spell EE.

GDContractor

Ironic that on LinkedIn he offers his services to Veterans in assisting them with their résumés. Dude can’t even write a basic sentence. Must be a haploid group thing.

Bobo

It looks like Mr. Taylor came to visit last night (unless the admins can resolve the IP to someplace other than where they know he lives). Still trying to provide some kind of half assed defense.

Just an Old Dog

All his posts address his being a genuine quad, which was only a side issue, and questioning it was more of a matter of pondering if someone as full of shit as him would try to put something over on the VA.
Bottom line he never served in Vietnam and was never a Master Gunnery Sergeant.
He can go fuck himself.

CLAW131

Damn, I knew I shouldn’t have went to sleep last night. Mr “Hot Wheels” came on here and Scotty’s place to defend himself and to issue some sort of a half-assed apology for his LSOS actions.

Since he’s here and has been reading the comments, I do have some questions that I hope he’ll answer.

1) Just how stupid do you think people are that they would believe you were in Vietnam with Force Recon at the ages of either six, eight,or ten?
2) What happened to you in Bad Kreuznach that made you become a deserter and just how the hell did you then manage to finagle a Honorable Discharge out of the deal?
3) Did you actually do a handwritten pen and ink change to your final DD214 and change the rank from SGT to MGYSGT?
4) Again, I will pose the question. Just how stupid do you think people are by claiming all those false academic credentials?

We are awaiting your response with bated breath.

CLAW131

Delete question #3. Not enough coffee yet this morning.

Insert as question #3: Were you the top graduate of that Field Sanitation Team class you took at Bad Tolz? If so, that would go a long way in explaining your unmatched ability to shovel shit.

sj

He didn’t take the course at Bad Tolz. The he took was at Bad Holtz. This one taught how much diesel to put in the 55 drum, how to light it, and how to stir it. He then took the advanced version at Bomholder…not the one at Baumholder.

sj

Bout time for him to hire a hot-shot “lawyer” from OR/CA/FL.

Bobo

Better hurry while said lawyer still has a license!

Just an Old Dog

The way these posers try to defend themselves is like this.

Acuser: Hey motherfucker I heard you eat shit sandwiches, blow hobos abd chase rabbits.

Poser: Thats a lie!!! Ask anyone, there hasnt been any rabbits on this farm in 20 years.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

SOCNET caught his dumb ass four years ago making the same bogus claims, and he’s still “ROCKIN’ THE LIE” to anyone that is willing to hear his story.

Marine_7002

The stupid sonovabitch can’t even spell “Semper” correctly (he spells it “Semeper”. And in his response to Scotty’s inquiries, he ends with:

R/S,
Casey Taylor Ret GySgt USMC

Hey, dumbass, I thought you said you were a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant.

The dumb fuck can’t keep his bullshit stories straight.

PeteOldABH

I like the part on his 214 where it says ‘microwave operator’. Now that’s probably a radar man or something, but my cynical side says, ”hey, we need two minutes, stat. No, on defrost you moron!”
