Tyler Adam Gamber; Phony Marine Core Sniper

| July 16, 2014

Tyler Adam Gamber

Mary sends us her work on this Tyler Adam Gamber fellow who claims that he was a Marine Core Sniper and Gunnery Sergeant with a Purple Heart and promotion to gunnery sergeant for “showmanship”. Hang on, I’m getting to the meat of it. Here is the DD214 he hands out to anyone who asks;

Tyler Adam Gambler Forged DD214

Notice that he’s the one who spells it Marine Core, not me. Also notice that the discharge, dated June 25, 2012, is on a discharge form dated 1955. His awards include the Honorary Medal of Defense and his promotion to gunnery sergeant “given upon showmanship of valor” and the “USMC ribbon”. And there’s his participation in “Operation Nightwing (Valor shown)” – so I guess he participated valorously in a comic book or a video game.

He even lists a service number (oddly close to Junior Sample’s phone number on the old Hee-Haw show) and the Defense Department hasn’t used Service Numbers since Vietnam.

Well, you’d think the Marine Core would remember him…but they don’t;

Tyler Adam Gambler Duty Status

Tyler Adam Gambler FOIA

I wish I could find a picture of him, but, you know, he’s so secret squirrel they probably won’t let him. But he’s up there in Brownsburg, Indiana so don’t get him confused with the others out there with a similar name.

Wow – E-7 in three years! That’s some pretty exceptional showmanship!

Flagwaver

Maybe he got Best in Show! That can give you really good promotion points, right?

clamsgotlegs

Nah. He couldn’t have gotten Best in Show. His anal sacs are still full.

USMC Marksman Grad……

This is some grade A quality airsoft operator.

Combat Historian

This guy’s legit; he was never in the U.S. Marine Corps, but in the United States Marine Core, an organization of hard-core marine cores who are the core of the hard-core…or whatever…

ArmyATC

No, the Marine Core are the guys who like to dive so they can get “cored” by dolphins.

Ex-PH2

Is that as opposed to mud cores?

Nina

My husband just said “Some guys are the tip of the spear. And some guys are the ‘core’ of the apple”

Dave Hardin

Seems legit to me. I just got off the phone with a Marine I have known 30 years, medically retired with full disability as a sergeant. He didn’t get an honorary promotion they only removed his C5 and C6 cut our bone from his hip to fuse it all together. They are still picking pieces of things out of him. I will ask if he if he wants his honorary promotion or his vertebrae back. 30 years is a long time to watch a friend in pain, Ron is a bigger man than this fake gutless fuck could ever conceive.

Sparks

As Jonn said, I love the old 1955 DD-214. Available online at sites near you.

Hondo

Yep. Takes a truly “special” combination of cojones muy grandes y una pequeña mente to forge a form that’s been out of use for 50+ years, then try to pass it off as recent.

SJ

What is “Aerial Dive School”?

Hayabusa

Double-Secret Black Ops stuff. I could tell you, but then I’d have to cut your head off and store it in the safe at Langley.

PavePusher

You beat me to it. I think it involves Gerbils….

CWO5USMC

I thought it was when you did a HALO jump out of the space shuttle into the ocean…but then again, I’m just a Comms guy….WTF do I know about all this secret squirrel stuff??

FatCircles0311

Some dumb shit right out of the video game Halo.

Ex-PH2

You have to do a double one-and-a-half back flip in the layout position to qualify.

T1B

I thought is was a Triple Lindy.

Ex-PH2

Well, there is also the triple axel or the triple salchow.

joi

for the one wanting to know what Aerial School is.t is where the circus takes and trains you to swing from rope to rope withouy a net sometimes.

John "Faker 6" Giduck

I like this guy. He reminds me of myself. All Tyler Adam Gamber needs now is a lie-filled book..but it better not be about Beslan.

the only person that can lie about arriving in Beslan during the siege is me.

This one’s so bad it’s painful. Embarrassing, even.

FMR PAO

Ummmm…..I spent a little time in Ireland and that’d be the first time I’ve ever seen the county name first. Every document and road sign and map in Ireland lists the ‘County’ first. e.g.: County Meath, County Antrim etc. Counties in Ireland aren’t like counties in the United States.

David

noticed that too but figured some E-2 71L could have said “County Meath? Okay….that’s Meath County, Ireland… gotcha.”

John D

Actually, he meant “Meth”.
On top of everything else, he’s a lousy speller.

ThommyMac

Wasn’t “Operation Nightwing” how Batman’s original Robin got a promotion to being his own superhero (aka Nightwing) and some ready for promotion side-kick became the new Robin? My deceased brother was the 10th Mountain’s Batman expert so I have to differ to the regulars here on that one.

Flagwaver

All I can find about it is a scrapped USMC invasion scenario in Southern California.

Ex-PH2

It involved condoms, submarines, and chocolate-covered caramels sprinkled with sea salt.

NHSparky

That is WAY too close to describing a lot of Halfway Nights.

Ex-PH2

Heeheeheehee!

NHSparky

I guess Gunnery Sergeant in 3 years is better than “honorary” Chief 40 years after getting the boot.

MGySgtRet

I think I served with this guy in the Aerial Dive school back in the early 2000’s. He was specially selected for further training cause he could Aerial Dive like a motherfucker!!!

I think that is where he learned all of his showmanship too. They were awarding him Honorary Medals at the cyclical rate.

He never did like to talk about Operation Night Wing. Guess it was too painful, what with the lacerations and all.

Drc

Hahhaha hahhaha operation night wing was when Batman and Robin fought the joker.

Nichevo

I remember operation Nightwing. It took place after Operations Flying Squirrel and Batwing, both of which earned me Article 15s and a counseling statement reminding me that:
A. Pants are part of the uniform
B. Demonstrating skin elasticity is not considered performance art by the chain of command.

MGySgtRet.

Goddamn Dude!! Your showmanship must have been through the roof!!!

NHSparky

Over Macho Grande?

No, I don’t think I’ll ever get over Macho Grande.

Those wounds run…pretty deep.

Please oh PLEASE find a picture of this twatwaffle! Brownsburg is pretty close to me and I’d love to go hunting

Send me an email address and I will send a picture. I live in Brownsburg as well. I uncovered this unique individual when he applied to work for me.

Hack Stone

Any chance you have a copy of his resume?

CLAW131

I also would like to see a copy of his resume to see if he listed “Roach Wrangler” on it. His Home of Record hometown of Roachdale,Indiana is where the annual Roach Race is held. I know, I’m from Indiana and always got a laugh out of that.

Hack Stone

Is he All Points Logistics material?

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Definite APL material, like as an executive VP… as well as a rump riding ranger

ExHack

Yessir. Director of Government Sales Showmanship, reporting directly to VP of Gov’t Sales, Psulio Itself.

LFR

Man oh man. You know he’s hardcore because even with and engineering degree from Perdue he still enlisted. I can only begin to imagine what his “engineering” degree is for.

ArmyATC

For this moron, getting sock on cock is a brilliant engineering achievement.

Richard

Hey! My kid completed his 4-year degree then enlisted. He declined OCS. He left as an E6 after 8 years active duty including two tours in Iraq (artillery MOS but all his time was spent outside the wire in mounted infantry patrols) and one in AFG (he was a pilot). Not everyone wants to be an officer.

O-4E

Then how was he a pilot?

nbcguy54

If he was Army, he possibly was a 93B (aerial scout/observer). When the OH58D’s first came out the plan was to have an officer as PIC and an enlisted as the scout/observer, possibly “formally” trained to perform basic aerial maneuvers. It changed to having a 2 officer flight crew instead. This was the late 80’s-early 90’s. As 93B is an MOS whose duty description includes “Performs navigation by pilotage and dead reckoning”, Richard’s kid very well could have some stick time. I started life as a 67N (Hueys) and got plenty of stick time thanks to a handful of rather interesting pilots who I had the pleasure of flying (and on one occasion, crashing) with.
If today’s -58Ds and OH-6s are flying with an officer and an enlisted as the crew, you better make sure that the enlisted guy (or gal) can fly and land that thing when the PIC gets tagged.

Dave Hardin

If your ‘kid’ told you he was a pilot as a Ssgt he lied. If you misunderstood something he told you, then saying things like this make your “kid” sound like and idiot. Artillery can be a very misunderstood MOS in the USMC. Stop saying things like this, in particular do not do it in a forum full of people that have the personal experience to know for a fact when you are full of shit. Your ‘kid’ is either an embellisher extraordinaire or you are confused and deluded. Yours truly, Dave Hardin, Staff Sergeant, Artillery, 0811, United States Marine Corps.

john

Hardin, you are in error. I was an E-3 with 300 hours of documented “stick time”. People have referred to me as a pilot at various times. I was a designated Crew Chief, not a designated pilot, but stick time means time as pilot. I have found that just because I never did it or saw it, that does not mean it didn’t happen to someone else. Semper Fi.

Dave Hardin

No you were not a pilot and you did not have 300 hours of ‘stick time’ as an E3 pilot. If you did you would have it documented somewhere or attested to by fellow Marines and be the only E3 in the history of the Corps to prove it.

Dave Hardin

The more times I read your post Richard the more it pisses me off. It reeks of bullshit. If your ‘kid’ was in the ‘Core’ I submit the following. Terms like ‘outside the wire’ make you sound ridiculous. Serving in Marine artillery is very different from the only other branch that has it, the Army. What I am about to say is not intended to disrespect the honorable service of my brothers who served with pride in the Army. Your post leads me to believe your ‘kid’ has been feeding you a line of shit. Marine Artillery members serve in almost every capacity of combat arms. Furthermore, they serve in many capacities outside combat arms. That is why my MOS is commonly used to make embellishments. We can be found doing assignments as an Admin Clerk or guarding US Embassy’s and NATO security installations. http://www.msg-history.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=28578 The strikingly handsome Marine 5th from the left would be me. You see Richard posting bullshit that cant be backed up makes you look like an idiot. Using my MOS to do it just enrages me. We are embedded with all kinds of units. Sometimes entire units of artillery are tasked with combat operations that have nothing to do with artillery. I can make all kinds of statements that are factually true but rarely do because of people that say shit like you do. Some Marines in artillery can be assigned to a unit on paper and spend very little time physically with that unit. Let me launch a preemptive strike at the ‘It was classified’ excuse most commonly used. Once again Richard, I have had official orders to conduct and executed classified missions in the Middle East. My family has been subjected to the distress of me being deployed and my whereabouts unknown. So, if your ‘kid’ tries to pull that stunt send him my way so I can adjust his military bearing. I make no attempt to hide who I am and can be found easily. I have confronted so many fakes and embellishing veterans at this point my family and I are… Read more »

Ric5811

I’m calling a little bs on you also. Artillery is not some specialized mos in the Corps. Yes artillery companies have gone to conflicts assigned to MEU’S without their big guns. Any MOS can do MSG duty. It’s a “B” billet. It wasn’t the Marine special forces artillery company. Any Marine can find themselves doing 0311. Any Marine can be found to be assigned to admin, chow hall, motor T, etc. So you can stop with the MOS embellishment. Though calling out the “it’s classified” bs, so is your “I did shit in the middle east” classified secret squirrel mission.

Dave Hardin

Thanks Ric for the adjustment. You are correct. Any MOS can fill ‘B’ billets in the Corps I just didn’t run into a lot of them but there are indeed some I did run into. Any Marine can indeed be found doing 0311 duties at some point, it is certainly not part of their regular training ops. I did my 30 days at the chow hall as well. You are also correct that MEU assignments for Artillery are different. That is where my experience was as part of the LF6F with several MEU’s. I understand the secret squirrel statements set off anyone’s bullshit meter, I expect it to. That makes them no less true in my case. I have grown weary of not talking about my experiences because of all this fake service bullshit. Fact is I did conduct ‘secret squirrel’ nut gathering with spooks. Yes they are call the CIA. Why should I be hesitant to say so because of these idiots. Why should my family have to diminish my service or the price they paid. I will not wait until I am dead and no longer here to defend their right to openly state my service or their pride and sacrifice because of it. So you or anyone else that reads this can try to understand my anger let me share a little more about who you are talking to. I went from CPL to SSGT in less than 6 months. Of course that sets off the bullshit alarm, nonetheless it is true and actually I think it was about 4 months. I am the last Marine that was a member of the Multi National Peacekeeping Forces Beirut to head home. That’s right the last one. You see I was ordered, with official orders in writing, to stay behind and play with the spooks. I am sick and tired of being timid about it. I endure the ‘secret squirrel’ title and all the disrespect it implies and so does my family. During one deployment my wife and her family had to endure the NIS knocking on the door… Read more »

Hack Stone

Four to six months to go from Corporal to Staff Sergeant? Please forgive me if I reach for the bullshit flag, unless you completed three hundred MCI’s and received a Navy Achievement Medal for raising funds for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

Dave Hardin

Actually, I do have a Navy Achievement Medal but it has nothing to do with that promotion. I was a Sergeant on the selection list for Staff Sergeant and acting platoon sergeant. I got busted for bouncing a Staff Sergeant from another platoon off a gear locker on the USS Austin. The BLT commander 4 months later decided he was wrong and reinstated me. Several months later my number came up and I was promoted to Staff. It wasn’t very funny at the time since my wife was back home trying to pay the bills and feed several kids on Corporal pay. One of the Marines in my platoon at the time now lives in the same town I do. They all shaved their heads in protest when I was busted. My records have it in writing, you are welcome to order them and their are a slew of Marines from that platoon still around. I am sure that has happened before but I have never heard of it. My point is, one must be careful before they publicly press the bullshit alarm. I have several other creative entries on my page 13 (UCMJ).

Hack Stone

Well, your response offers a bit of clarity, but your initial post of going from Corporal to Staff Sergeant I would consider “lying by omission”. As for your reduction in rank and reinstatement to Sergeant, having in impact to you being selected and promoted to Staff Sergeant, sounds a bit fishy to me. It’s possible, I guess, I have just never seen it during my time in. And in case anyone is wondering, don’t bother using my career trajectory as the barometer of Marine Corps promotions. Hack brought up the rear on advancement, through no fault of my own (in most cases). CWO5 USMC can vouch for me.

Dave Hardin

Guilty as charged. That was my whole point, some people are just a little too anxious to call out bullshit. I hate these phony pricks more than the next guy. I have embarrassed more than one keyboard commando who types before he thinks. That what I like about Jonn’s site, most seem to use some thought before they jump. Everyone has a right to be full of shit…..to a point. If I didn’t live it,’fishy’ would be a polite understatement. Thanks for the post. Semper Fi.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

The Index to Marine & Lacustrine Geological Samples (IMLGS) has some fantastic Marine core samples from lakebed and sea floor.

This fellow is indeed a marine core, a crusty sediment based deposit found underwater…a slimy, dirty, piece of filth.

That would equate in human terms to a lying sack of shit like this. Except a true marine core actually has some value in determining geological composition for research, this fellow’s only value is as a potential organ donor.

MGySgtRet.

I was thinking less a core sample and more of a stool sample when talking about this fucktard.
