Gaddafi security dude outed by ANZMI

Gary Peters

Mary sends us a link to an article in Canada’s National Post about Gary Peters who was deported from Canada last year when Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board determined that his work as a body guard for Saadi Gaddafi, the son of Muammar Gaddafi, made him complicit in war crimes.

Our friends at Australian and New Zealand Military Imposters (ANZMI) also found that many of the awards that Peters wore were just pinned on because Peters thought that he deserved to wear them;

Calling Gary Peters a “scurrilous liar, cheat and wannabe,” the Australian and New Zealand Military Imposters group said the former Ontario resident had worn medals he was not entitled to, including for service in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Nor had he served in the Special Air Service, although its insignia is tattooed on his arm, the group said on its website. “Peters has no entitlement to wear any of the above medals except perhaps the Australian Defence Medal.”

Confronted with the allegation, Mr. Peters acknowledged to the veterans group that he had been a “private soldier driver” in the Royal Australian Corps of Transport between 1991 and 1995 but had never served abroad, it added.

From the ANZMI website;

At the Bikers club, as shown in the photograph, Peters portrayed himself as a returned veteran by wearing the following medals and badges:

Conspicuous Service Medal (CSM)
Australian Active Service Medal (AASM)
Afghanistan Medal
Iraq Medal
Defence Force Service Medal (DFSM)
Australian Defence Medal (ADM)
Infantry Combat Badge (ICB)
Special Air Service (SAS) winged dagger.

Peters has no entitlement to wear any of the above medals except perhaps the Australian Defence Medal. His Australian Military Service was as a Private Soldier Driver in the Royal Australian Corps of Transport from 1991 to 1995. He served only in Australia.

Peters also didn’t earn the SAS tattoo on his arm either

More proof that Stolen Valor, as well as stupidity, is an international problem.

Sparks

They do come in all flavors and nationalities don’t they?

Green Thumb

I wonder if he will relocate to Florida?

I know for a fact that down in Florida there is a Veteran’s MC that will have no issue with bringing him into the fold.

And he can hang with the “Big Lard” Keith Keeton. I would love to be a fly on the wall in that conversation.

On second thought, probably not. Identical turds from different two-hole they are.

Arby

A brillo pad could fix that tattoo problem real quick…

That Guy

I have often considered a tattoo of the phrase ‘who dares wins’, not in any connection with the SAS, but because I’m a big fan of risk taking in general, and have found it preferable to playing it safe in many situations.
The one thing that holds me back is that some chump might mistake it for an SAS tattoo. I’m not talking about including their insignia, even, I just don’t want to have to point out that the phrase existed before the SAS…

Hayabusa

Wait, being a driver in the Royal Australian Corps of Transport is just like being an SAS trooper, right?

As he was a “soldier of fortune” … kinda …. he should have the motto:

WHO CARES WHO WINS

(as long as I get paid and can vamoose when I want to).

Sapper3307

looks like a back seater for Phil monkyazz.

Luddite4Change

So, let me get this straight….

He lied about his military record to get a contract to provide security to Saadi Gaddafi, and then gets booted from Canada for actually doing the work.

Karma is a great thing

Mr Wolf

Betcha dollar to donuts he claims he was ‘consulted’ for the Khattala raid, being a Qadaffy bodyguard and all…

Gary peters was my friend. A loyal man who maybe made some bad decisions. Sometimes you do things that are wrong to protect something or someone.
He’s loyal and a great man.

Oooh, a sock puppet! Surprise, surprise!
