Anthony Luna-tic Phony SEAL
Someone dropped off this article from California’s Daily Press about Anthony Luna who pretended to be a SEAL Master Chief with 32-years of service and apparently he used that persona to make excuses for his nutty behavior which finally led to his arrest;
Anthony Ernest Luna, 52, had been accused of leading ex-fiance Tracy Tate, 46, to remote patches of desert off Highway 395 in May and holding her there at knife-point against her will.
As part of the plea bargain Thursday — which came during a second continuation preliminary hearing — charges of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, making a criminal threat and false imprisonment were tossed out.

During court proceedings, Tate repeatedly referred to Luna as a “trained killer,” saying he portrayed himself as a 32-year veteran of the Navy SEALs and had a penchant for wearing his uniform.
However, Luna was in the Navy only six years and honorably discharged in 1986, according to a document introduced in court Tuesday.
“Anybody and anyone who ever met him (thought he was a Navy SEAL),” Tate testified. She claimed she did not know it was a lie until a sheriff’s deputy informed her on the night of Luna’s arrest.
I believe that the person who dropped this link off on our Facebook page is actually Tracy Tate and she says that the reason that she sent it to us is because she wants the whole world to know the story, because she doesn’t think he’s going to stop being a phony SEAL and he’ll eventually pull the same thing with another woman. I don’t doubt that – some of these phony SEALs have trouble letting go of their phony personae. I can name a couple. She says that when she went to research his background on the internet, there was nothing. Well, that’s changed now.

And, this stuff is becoming an epidemic. In the past few weeks, I’ve passed three men in WALMART that were wearing hats and vests just festooned with patches, ribbons,and medals. One guy wasn’t too bad, but the other two positively clanked. All three were older men; one appeared to be in his 70’s. I can’t tell you if there was anything wrong or not with what they were wearing, but it appeared that they were wearing those getups for the attention they drew to them. Several people went up to these men to talk to them, and thank them for their service. I’ve hung around here too long; I avoided all three like the plague. I don’t pay any attention to anyone’s military finery unless I know them personally. I refuse to feed the disease.
We here at TAH have a proven ability to gain recognition for those who think that they are obscure in their fakery, and/or in support of the fakery of others.

Arrgh, I actually met one of these guys on the train home a week ago. Fucknut was wearing an Army GCM and a CIB with one star beneath his ribbons. His SEAL trident was in the right place (above and center of salad bar) but he wasn’t wearing an Navy/USMC jump wings, or any army lead wings. And all this was on tiger stripe cammies; this guy was in his forties. Hell, he wasn’t even old enough to pretend to be a Vietnam vet. I wanted to get a picture, but my cell phone was out of charge, and he got off at the next station. Dammit.

@9,Pinto Nag, they now say that for every Vet that actually served in Vietnam, there are at least five posers riding their coattails. I’m skeptical every time I see someone with “XX VET” apparel anymore, I’ve popped a couple of posers myself in the past few years!!

@16—I’m curious how exactly it is that the guy isn’t in prison. Isn’t representing yourself as a Native American/Navy SEAL to get federal contracts when you weren’t either and possibly (probably) enabling a cyber/legal harassment campaign that includes death threats illegal? Of course, AJ Dicken the most decorated SEAL ever, has never spent a day behind bars for all the stuff he pulled to my knowledge, and his crimes were infinitely more serious (owning Class III firearms as a convicted felon for training wannabes at his BS tactical course in Nevada, fraud in the millions of dollars, reckless endangerment, multiple violations of the 2013 Stolen Valor Act in claiming to be awarded medals he wasn’t for monetary gain, etc., etc.).
He had the NAVY SEAL stuff down to a T! When I first met him, I tried “goggling” him to check out his background…and NOTHING would come up. But NOW it does, thanks to us blowing his cover after 32 years of doing this. I was NOT the only woman who fell for his story or was hurt by this man physically and emotionally. He has been arrested in OTHER STATES for similar crimes. But each state handles their criminals differently and unfortunately in CALIFORNIA they only had out “slaps on the wrist.” Guys like this know how to “work the system” and they are PROFESSIONALS hun! The day this article appeared in the paper…WOMEN were contacting me here on FB telling me their stories about meeting this man as well. Looks like he was on all kinds of dating sites. Unfortunately too late to help my case. But at least now WOMEN are WARNED PUBLICLY about this man for when he gets out…and he will get out…and he WILL DO THIS AGAIN! I’m just thankful I’m ALIVE today and so are my children, my grandchildren, my family & friends and all of my customers and fans. I’m very lucky and I’m trying my best to HELP other women who are now coming forward and also prepare women for when he gets out!
and just so you know…his act was so good..he even had phony seal brothers talk to me on the phone!!! Who are these people?! They should of been charged as well! uuughhh!
As Tracy’s father, and the one who filed the missing persons report the day she was kidnaped, and gave the police the information they needed to track him down – I was shocked when the Sheriff told me that Anthony (Tony)was never a Navy Seal, and that he had just gotten out of prison for holding a gun to his ex-wife’s head. His Parole Officer now is the only one that can ad some time to this phoney Seal’s jail sentence, since he was on parole when he was captured with the knife still on his person. As a member of USMC intelligence during Korea, I am mad at myself for not picking up on his con earlier – but as Tracy has said – he was very good with his con – and I know people in Apple Valley that had been coned by Tony for at least 8-years.
Anymore, every time I see any thread on a fake SEAL, it reminds me of a quite from Mary Schantag if I’m correct, “Only about 500 Navy SEALs served in Vietnam, and we’ve investigated all 30,000 of them.”. I’m looking forward to seeing Senior Chief Shipley chew him up and spit him out!!
First off Shipley isn’t a combat SEAL and does not represent the Teams. He is his own circus. As far as SEALs in Nam,there may have been 300 SEAL’s in the Teams at that time~!UDT conducted largely the same missions as SEAL and many were reassigned to either ST-1 or ST-2.

Here’s a little lesson for you regarding Senior Chief~
Don Shipley retired after 24-years as a SEAL Senior Chief in 2003. He served at SEAL Team ONE, SEAL Team TWO, the Naval Special Warfare Center, BUD/S, and Naval Special Warfare Group TWO, in Little Creek Virginia as a SEAL Advanced Training Instructor.
Shipley conducted operations in Bosnia and Liberia, Africa while at SEAL Team TWO and became the first Non-Corpsman SEAL to graduate Paramedic School. He served in eight SEAL Platoons, was Platoon Chief in five, and awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for Heroism during a Search and Rescue Mission.
Setting records for immense water and land demolition shots and running High Risk training courses, he also served as an Explosive Expert instructing Police Departments across the country in Booby Traps and Improvised Explosive Devices. When not in a SEAL Platoon or deployed overseas, his time was spent running blocks of training for SEALs in air operations, land warfare, and demolitions.
After retirement he became a Blackwater Security Contractor, spending a year in Pakistan and Afghanistan fighting the war on terror.

This guy Tony Luna needs to be locked up for more than a few weeks. If what Tracy says is true, that she’s being contacted by many women over the same kinds of things that he did to her, he’s a sociopath and is going to put other people in danger as well.

Let us hope that a parole officer somewhere does his or her job. Parole violation is about the easiest crime to use to put and keep folks in jail.
