Joseph Michael Coyle; AWOL hero

| February 17, 2012

Donald sent us all of this stuff on Joseph Coyle, who claims to be a former adviser to Vietnamese troops during our adventures over there. He certainly wears a mountain of awards for his service doesn’t he? Well, because he’s on TAH, you already know it’s all phony bling. His FOIA release;

No Vietnam service, not even a little.

Maybe it’s because he spent more time AWOL than in formation;

He probably went AWOL so much because the Army didn’t send him to Vietnam, so he was sneaking off on his own to kill commies. Damn the consequences!

He did get a lot of promotions though;

Here’s a close up of the bling he thinks he earned;

The Army disagrees just a tiny bit;

Enjoy it while you can Joe, the Supreme Court is hearing about the Stolen Valor Act next week.

Geez. What a total dirtbag! Takes a real piece of work to get two SCMs and a DFR in less than a year. And I particularly like the fact that he’s wearing an AAM – a decoration that didn’t exist until roughly 8 years after we left Vietnam, and closer to 9 years after he’d been discharged.

The drop dead best part of his costume is the over sized font on the name tape. Not content to simply be a faker, he is making sure every elderly VFW and Legion member he is scamming free drinks from to know his name.

NHSparky

What, no Cav patch? No SEAL trident?

Fuckers are slipping.

Marine_7002

Where does this low-life POS live and hang out?

Old Trooper

Beat this sonavabitch to within an inch of his life, let him heal up and do it all over again.

Hell….maybe this guy (and others like him) should run for a Senate seat in CT. The idiots in Connecticut (yeah, I know, not everyone voted for (was it?) Blumenthal) would probably vote him in.

Fifteen months and 201 days AWOL?? Did I read that right? Why in the hell did the Army keep him so long?

Was with I Troop, 3/11th Cav RVN, 1967-1968 – and have two great SF sons – and I can document it 🙂

Wish I knew where this fraud lives.

Furthermore…..among other things the CIB and Purple Heart ribbons really piss me off. Can’t make out the other ones.

Steadfast&Loyal

Pathetic attempt. I wanted to hear a story of daring do, a lady, a dragon, some elves…..

and then a chest of badges i have to research.

This one was easy.

Have to (grudgingly) give this dipshit a bit of credit. Other than possibly the state NG ribbons (if that’s what the last 6 on his left side are), he at least got his fake ribbons in correct order of precedence.

On his Class Bs (left side) he’s wearing the BSM (with a device – can’t tell if it’s an OLC or a V), the PH, the MSM, the ARCOM w/OLC, the AAM, the GCM (w/o clasp), the NSDM, the VSM w/3 Campaign Stars, and the RVNCM w/scroll. I don’t recognize the others – I think they’re NG ribbons, but I’m not sure. (One in the 4th row from the top might be the AFRM, but the image is too distorted for me to be certain). Based on the FOIA records, only the NSDM appears legit.

Right side Class B ribbons appear to be the VUC w/OLC, MUC, RVNPUC, Vietnamese Gallantry Cross, and Vietnamese Civic Actions Unit Citation. None appear legit based on his FOIA records.

Yep the ARVN Rangers sorely needed his experience

I love the name tag!

Chockblock

Once again the interwebs sink a poser. Why? For the love of all that’s holy? Why do they do it? I understand why they did it before blogs, facebook et al. No one to call them on their BS, heck, Rather did an entire show full of wannabe’s. But why now? Are they that stupid?

Yat Yas 1833

@12 Chockblock, I think they have been at it for so long, before the web, FOIA, etc, that they can’t stop. If they’ve been doing this for 30 years, how do they explain why they suddenly put their “uniform” away? Now these fools that put it out on the internet are just plain STUPID! Just an opinion.

Flagwaver

You know, when I first went in to the VFW, I took in my DD-214 and DD-215. The commander of the post actually thanked me because it meant less paperwork for him to do. The local VFW has actually be scammed a couple of times by douchenozzels. Why can’t they just require proof of service with a DD-214 or something?

NHSparky

Because even now, people are forging that crap.

Sustainer

Awesome 2 inch font on the nametag!

more super heroes

LMAO…AWOL Advisor…HOO-AH

Another turd-burglar!

Sustainer

Holy Shit! Look at that AG 314 Green Shirt acting as a Load Bearing Vest! I’ve never seen so much shit on a uniform since Michael Jackson or Idi Amin wore one!

BRAT

Hey hondo you are right about the AAM part, but also the MSM didn’t come out till around till the late 80s, don’t quote me on that but this guy doesnt qualify… also his marksmanship badge is out of place, it is supposed to be on the left breast pocket…. he put his sharpshooter badge where his expert should of been…. and last time I checked you can’t wear 2 types of marksmanship badges…. these phonies just make it so easy…

SuperChief

We’ll see if the Supremes wink one in our direction with their valuation of our rights as Warriors and the implied rights of shit-bags like this mousy motherfucker. If I was hedging my bets though I’d say we’ve got a liberal hippie’s chance in a Benning bar fight of coming out on top. Every time I chance across another story of a simpleton like this it just fucking breaks my heart and makes me want to stomp a mud hole in his ass. Knowing there are heroes not even old enough to own a pistol in their own country running gauntlet in a sand-fly infested shit hole a million seven elevens away-protecting the freedoms an ass-clown like this gets to enjoy. This is my first venture into this website and I honestly thing I’m gonna like it. Fucking makes all the sense in the world. Hooah!

I’m just curious where this guy was playing dress-up. If this guy is just a Facebook Ranger, I’ve got to go with Dallas, otherwise I have a hard time picking a dude who was actually in Vietnam over an AWOL, CONUS poseur.

No. 25:
My vote standard is the opposite — he WAS in Vietnam, but the flagrant insistence upon THE UNREAL — makes DW’s attacks on THE REALITY of The Vietnam War, inexcusable .

has anyone noticed that the beret flash is actually a shoulder patch for the 75th Rangers?

@19 The other badge looks, albeit blurry, like a driver’s badge, so it appears he is wearing only one bolo(expert) badge and one driver’s badge.
